This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. And it’s much nicer now it’s had a refurb in the public areas. Sadly the rooms were very basic but clean. Great welcome from the start. The location is set back back from the town it’s an easy walk in or a €20 ride.

We got a small room with the double bed up against one wall. Also, the bathroom was hilariously bad with a tiny bathtub shower that was almost unusable as it had an uneven floor that made it almost dangerous. This is a gem of a hotel. Staff cannot do enough for you in making your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Some terrific restaurants around the hotel plus the hotel itself offers a smorgasbord of food that will suit everyone’s taste.  We had a junior suite which looked over the water. We booked a room two days in advance, arrived very late in the evening, and were greeted very warmly.
