Mitsis Messonghi Beach Hotel offers very good facilities, tasty food, and a lovely beach location. Everything was well organized and the staff were welcoming. For the price paid, it delivers excellent value for money and is ideal for families and couples.

Very pleasantly surprised by mitsis messonghi. Can't understand how it gets any bad reviews. Lovely room, close to the beach. Modern decor with brand new looking furniture. Extremely comfy beds. Kettle and hair dryer provided. Lovely big beach towels in rooms to use. Fridge available to use but not filled. Shop on site sells 6 packs of large bottles of water for 3 euros which we put in the fridge. Safe available to use but make sure u read the instructions inside before trying, we accidentally locked ours but reception sent someone to open it. Rooms cleaned to a high standard every day. Grounds are dated but very well maintained and you can tell improvements are being made throughout. With lots of newer looking places. Staff we found to be very polite and helpful throughout the whole hotel. They certainly work very hard at keeping the place lovely and clean. Food at the hotel was the shining star for us. We have stayed in a mitsis hotel in the past and the food here was on par. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Eggs (boiled, fried, scrambled, omelettes) bacon, sausages, beans, hash browns amongst other cooked breakfast items. Lots of continental breakfast options too (the pain au chocolate are to die for!). Lunch by the beach was the best in our opinion. Pizza, pasta menu, sandwich menu - all made fresh and extremely tasty. Buffet for the evening meal was delicious and we didn't see the same dish twice (we were there for a week) very varied and everything we ate was exceptional. Not really any queues for food but we did go in October so can imagine it gets busy over the summer months. Never had a problem getting a sun lounger at this time of year. Although the pools were very cold! Still managed a quick dip in the pool and swam in the sea which was cool but pleasant. Lots of options for somewhere to sit on an evening. Can't comment on the entertainment really as we tended to sit in the quieter bars. Patio heaters were appreciated in the bar areas as it was cooler in the evenings. There wasn't a huge menu of cocktail but the 6(ish) that were on the menu were all lovely. Long island ice tea was a favourite of ours. Overall a wonderful holiday. Won't be back to this one simply because I wouldn't go to any hotel more than once. I would however recommend it to people and we would certainly choose mitsis again as both experiences we have had with mitsis have been great Couple of tips... Bus to Corfu old town near the entrance of the hotel, 6 euros for 2 people return. Very easy to do and well worth the trip. There is an Elvis bar if you head towards the beach and follow it left out of the hotel. This was very fun. If you go right you can go in a boat across the other side of the river for 1 euro per person and it was lovely over there with places to eat and drink.

Hotel had lots of amenities, stunning beaches both sandy and pebbles. The water was clear with good visibility as full of life, great to snorkel. There was a range of water sports on offer. We stayed in Garden bungalow which was nice, it was survived with r own balcony and garden area. Having two bedrooms was great for the kids, well maintained. The hotel was deceptively large, five pools, water slides and multiple kiddie pools. There was an arcade area which we only found halfway through. This was good entertainment as we played family pool, air hockey, basketball etc. The hotel also has tennis, boules, basketball and actually a good gym which can be hard to find in a hotel. The outdoor area of the gym was particularly good with a a jig, and sled. The hotel had a full itinerary of fitness classes, children’s activities and put on an evening show most nights in an ami theatre. The hotel also has a night club which we didn’t try. But, the biggest thing for us as a family was the hotel looked after us. My family has multiple food allergies and they were able to cater for us. I found the staff would look really look after us, there was usually multiple dishes that my children cold eat, but the chefs would often make bespoke meals as well. One member of staff that stood out was Panagiotis Vlachos. He would take care of us like a father figure and would make sure we were ok at meal times and speak to the kitchen etc. Great customer service. The food overall was excellent, lots and lots of variety. Best dishes as you would expect were Greek and was very flavourful and tender. I found good customer service this replicated across the hotel and thought the staff work really hard. The negative parts are, there are ques for everything. Beach bars would often have ques which would put me off from ordering, cocktails were basic, ques would even form at meal times for certain dishes. Other holiday makers drove us nuts with obsession to put down towels on Sun loungers to pre book. You could struggle to find them in the morning but would become free during the afternoon. But, would still rate as excellent, for all the reasons I have listed above. Great facilities, attentive staff, would go again.
