Canal d' Amour Apartements in Sidari

This is not a real hotel but just a two-story apartment building. There’s no entrance, lobby, or hallway; your room door opens directly to the street (check on Google Maps Street View). Security is a serious concern: anyone could easily step onto your balcony or into your room if the door isn’t locked.
The photos online looked appealing, but in reality the rooms are decorated with cheap plastic furnishings that serve little purpose. Cleanliness was unacceptable — there was hair (possibly pubic hair) under bed sheets upon our arrival. We didn't see any housekeeper, which makes it even less like a proper hotel or retreat.
The location is also disappointing. It’s set behind other beachfront hotels, you are in the middle of a road leading to the beach. To reach the port area, bars, or shops, which are in the other side of the village, you need to walk 20–30 minutes. Meanwhile, many people pass by in front of the property, which makes the place even more unsafe.
Finally, the owner’s attitude is extremely unwelcoming. Rather than feeling like a guest, we felt intimidated and pressured to obey arbitrary rules.
For all these reasons, we give this place the lowest rating possible and strongly advise against staying here.

Since my initial comment, Dimitrios's ongoing behavior has suggested instability.

His business appears to be driven not by an appreciation for hospitality, but rather by urgent financial necessity, a point underscored by specific reports where refund requests were met with offers of complimentary coffee at his restaurant instead of reimbursement. Guests consistently report dissatisfaction with the parking, the state of the apartments and the restaurant, which has changed its name from 'La Strata' to 'Al Forno Pizzeria' due to its declining reputation.

Instead of acknowledging criticism, Dimitrios confronts guests. Fake profiles were created to inflate ratings, leading Google to delete six of them. Guests were also forced to leave positive reviews. He refuses to acknowledge the need for any improvement, instead blaming others for every issue—from pricing and hygiene problems to flooding, foul-smelling air conditioning, and outright aggression. The authorities are aware of multiple reports filed against him concerning allegations of violence and tax issues.

Lastly, a documented reveiws shows he becomes overly nice when his guests are single women. Young women should exercise extreme caution.
