We were there in the ending of August, it was really nice, the weather was good, the place was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they helped us finding the bus, and recommended bars and restaurants. The bartender was also really good, and sweet. It's an old hotel but the service is good. rooms cleaning every dag and the breakfast is very good. the staff are very friendly. The location of the hotel is so and so coz its not near to the beach . it takes about 15 min to go to the beach. a very near supermarket and the bus station too.

Clean room. Small pool area but always a free sunbed. Not very silent in the rooms and close to the main Road (noice). Breakfast is not amazing, not bad. Bed is comfortable. Amazing staff that are helpfull. And only 15min walk to a lot of restaurants

Family hotel, in an excellent position to visit the most beautiful beaches by renting a car. Super breakfast, comfortable room, clean and complete with everything you need. Very friendly staff. Excellent for a relaxing holiday as it is located in a less chaotic location!

The staff at Aphea Village were excellent. Nothing was to much for them to do for us. From reception to bar staff - they were amazing. I would definitely recommend as the view from the pool and the rooms were breath taking. The food from Bizous bar and variety of drinks available were amazing. We really enjoyed our stay with you. What a lovely gem of a hotel, great views over the sea, lovely pool/bar area, super friendly staff, great room with air con & room safe included. Ten minute stroll from a lovely beach & a handful of tavernas along the beach, ten minutes stroll from the village centre with a super market for all your provisions, a bakery and a few more tavernas & a couple of grill bars. We will definitely be returning

The whole staff was very nice. The hotel is close to the city and the airport. There is a direct connection to the beach and a supermarket very close by. The owner was very nice to us and helped us a lot

We stayed for 8 nights a week or two ago, arrived late due to flight delays and there was an envelope with apartment key and map attached to the Reception door which was handy. The 2 room apartment was fine but slightly dated and dishevelled, however all completely serviceable. We had a wonderful stay at Maleme Mare, right from the friendly welcome. The staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. Food was ok, ice cream and drinks were local, not so good. The worst thing was that my engagement and wedding rings stolen from room. Of course my own fault that I did not put it to safety box, but not very reliable staff. The chief of hotel says that there is no thiefs and I have myself lose it somewhere.

Fantastically friendly staff; they have a little museum with replicas of many important objects from around Crete and original coins and notes from history, as well as a bicycle made for two! The rooms are probably the most home-like ones on the island. Think "log cabin" and you're on the right track. Don't worry amenity lovers, it has AC and even a kitchenette, although I hesitate to call it that...

I visited the hotel 3 times, in 2023, 2024 and 2025. It's an absolutely lovely place, with a homely atmosphere. The Staff is really helpful, friendly and respectful. The hotel has a wonderful location with beautifully maintained grounds and a lovely large pool with sun loungers. Our room was quite large and located on the beachfront, right in front of the beach. Everything was clean and beautiful. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We were a little unlucky with the weather, but that's a minor detail; we'll be happy to return in the future ☺️

The hotel is very remote. If staying for more than one night I would suggest you definitely need a car. We stayed as a family of 4 for just one night. This property was beautiful! Right on the beach!!! Wonderful view of the sea from the room and patio! The room was tastefully decorated and everything was clean and welcoming. The hotel grounds had flowering landscaping and the whole atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The best part was that you could walk out of your room and be right on the sands of a lovely beach!

On arrival we were shown to our room which was not the sea front suite that we had paid for!! On complaining we were told that it would be ready the next day which of course was totally unacceptable. We had to insist on speaking to the Manager who was hiding in his office behind reception and would have heard our conversation with the receptionist. Where do I start. We arrived early hours of the morning. It was our honeymoon and when we got to the room they had decorated the door with a bow champagne and a love heart cake which was lovely. A bit late in posting this review, we visited the hotel in May, for 14 nights and had a wonderful time. Our room was lovely, fantastic view , the bar staff were always friendly whether down at the pool bar , or in the main bar in the evening (Kostas) . This was our first visit after our friends had recommended the place. Fantastic adult only hotel, the staff were amazing from welcoming us to the resort to leaving the bar staff made sure we were looked after..even going the extra mile to go to their sister hotel before work to ensure I had my favourite drink in to last for the delivery.
