The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and spacious, and the rooms with private pools are simply luxurious! A few minor downsides: to reach the beach, you have to cross the road, and sunbeds are available only on the hotel grounds

We stayed at Galini Palace Hotel — overall, it’s a great option for a relaxing vacation. The staff are very friendly, always ready to help and accommodate guests

Room cleaning was done regularly, and towels were changed every day. The food was varied, with a beautiful buffet-style presentation — there’s something for every taste

For those arriving early or leaving late, this can be a bit inconvenient, but that’s just the hotel policy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and can definitely recommend this hotel! 🌴☀️

It was also not possible to extend the stay for a few extra hours — check-in is strictly at 2:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM

Unfortunately, the temperature was relatively low in early May and there was a strong wind. Although the outdoor swimming pool was beautiful, it was not very swimmable

I had a wonderful time at the hotel! I loved the spa, the pool and had the best night sleeps! It is a shame that the main restaurant does not serve a real espresso from ground coffee beans as it would have been nice to enjoy a good cup of coffee with the wonderful breakfast, but despite this, I will happily return to the hotel

This makes it hard for vegans, people with allergies etc, I am sure they could do a little better on this!

You can enjoy great cocktails until 1am, and no rubbish brands. It was really sad to leave, but this will definitely be our choice of place whenever we’re back in Crete!

The Wife and I spent a few nights nights here during our "babymoon" in early September. The place was very well kept, the 1st floor room was excellent walking right out to the pool

An amazing stay! The place is well located, in a quiet area away from the busy town, but right across from a bus stop that can take you to Chania centre for €3

The hotel is something out of the “White Lotus” series; fantastic pools, right in front of the sea, great restaurants, and best of all; amazing staff. Everyone is sooooo friendly that you literally feel like hugging them

They went over and above providing me with ice daily for my foot, showing us the best wheelchair route to the sea, and so much more. They must have been exhausted end of season but never showed it

Whilst there my mother in law slipped (yes they came on honeymoon only because we brought our wedding day forward a year 😂) the hotel was great with sorting doctors and getting her seen quickly staff were very attentive

This was our 2nd visit and we were welcomed like family ,everything was beyond expectation ,amazing accomodation, staff who more than go the extra mile ,food is outstanding, choice was fabulous , absolutely nothing to fault

We will definitely be returning. If it’s pure relaxation you want this is the place. A bus stops right outside hotel to go into Chania takes about 40mins

There are a few shops bars and restaurants near the hotel 10-15min walk is a big supermarket

Service at breakfast, lunch and evening was always good and enjoyed our conversations with Matao. We really enjoyed the food could not fault anything. Zoe was always very helpful and gave us information on the local area

I sincerely recommend this hotel! Together with my boyfriend, we are absolutely delighted with both the hotel itself and the wonderful staff. From the very beginning we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of

The room was comfortable, clean, and cozy, and the atmosphere of the whole place made our stay truly relaxing. The service was professional, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile

We also really enjoyed the meals, which were delicious and carefully prepared. Staying here was a fantastic experience for both of us, and we would be happy to return in the future

The only small suggestion would be to provide a bean coffee maker instead of instant coffee. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we would be happy to come back

The villa next door overlooks the pool area so not very private but we were lucky as there was no-one staying there for the first few days of our holiday. Crete was lovely and we would return

If you want to get away from the mob this is the place. Reception were very helpful as were all the staff. Only negatives I have are the Villas are up a big hill so have a car or be fit

We had a lovely relaxing week here as a family of 4 with 2 adult children. We had intended to use the sofa bed in the lounge but they had put an extra bed in the single room for us

We chose not to hire a car but it was only €8 to Kolymvari where there was a nice assortment of bars and restaurants on the seafront. We ate at the hotel and also the 2 other local restaurants in Spilia too

The breakfast was a nice bonus and we were addicted to the Greek yoghurt and honey! There was maid service and pool maintenance every other day with fresh towels provided

We also visited Chania old town one night which was very lively and took a boat trip to Balis beach from Kissamos. Reception staff were helpful in booking taxis

We were there in the ending of August, it was really nice, the weather was good, the place was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they helped us finding the bus, and recommended bars and restaurants

A very valuable hotel in a very good location, with very clean rooms, rich breakfast and very good service. Ideal for those who want to have easy access to all the valuable places in Chania

Our room is a good size for two people and we have a nice sea view on the pool facing side. On this side there's no sun on the balcony until late afternoon. But it's a godsend as it's also nice when a breeze blows

The hotel is located in Kolymvari, which is around 60 minutes by bus to Chania and 15 minutes to Platania (where you can find good and cheap restaurants) Over all, it was a very good stay, and we would go there again:)

Family hotel, in an excellent position to visit the most beautiful beaches by renting a car. Super breakfast, comfortable room, clean and complete with everything you need

The food is very good and better than a lot of 5 star resorts we have visited. The A’la carte Greek and Asian restaurants are amazing with the food and service excellent

We’ve just come back from the Atlantica Ocean Beach and had the best holiday. My 2 boys (7&9) loved the kids club and the staff were fantastic

Our favourite was the white party disco. Although the location is remote and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area the hotel is big enough without feeling trapped. We would definitely visit again

The team at the Greek restaurant helped surprise my husband with a birthday cake on our first night too. My sons loved the water slides and pool and the evening entertainment was fun

We had a room with an ocean view, and the beach was also very clean, beautiful, and not too crowded — we really hope it stays that way because we plan to come again

The hotel's location is excellent. There are several wonderful restaurants, a supermarket, and a children's playground nearby. The beach is less than a 4-minute leisurely walk away

The staff cannot do too much for their guests. Stavros found me a walking stick to use on my trip to Knossos as my knees at the age of 73 can be a little weak. The food was very good but it’s the staff who are unbeatable

Wonderful location, 2 minutes to the beach. Excellent services and competent staffs. Food was delicious as well, and cats will stare at you when you eat. Highly recommend!

Lovely restaurant along the beach front think it was called Mythos the one with blue table cloths at the side of pizza oven. Trips land train ok to blue lagoon but not worth the money. Local buses excellent service

Not in a really good area as nothing much along the seafront. Beach not fab stones and shingle with a tiny bit of sand. Jet2 needs to update description. Food not really good , poor choice and lukewarm

Desserts same every mealtime just different colours and often still partially frozen. Other guests said food was a lot better than the previous years. Not sure why you would repeat visit if food not good

If you are looking for a typical and authentic cretan house, peaceful and beautiful place and a one-of-a-kind swimming pool, this is it! Apartments are really well-decorated and equipped with everything you need

No children's pool so more suited to adults and older children who can swim, but there is a playing corner in the garden for small children. Kitchen with microwave and cooker

I just had four days holidays here and I appreciate the service of family , they are always willing to help and give us good advices to plan the trip, and the house is just so well-organised

The hot food is cooked in small batches as required so the fried eggs, fried tomatoes etc are all hot and freshly cooked. The live entertainment at dinner was excellent. Service is exceptional from all staff members

Although the hotel is fairly large, you really do receive a small, family-run hotel welcome. We stayed in a room with a private pool and were delighted with how sizeable both suite and pool were

There wasn't even an indoor bar, in fact there was nowhere to sit indoors with a drink before or after dinner - apart from the complete waste of space next to reception (where, understandably, I never saw a single person sit all week)

How do you choose a glass of wine from a non-existent list? We ended up having to go and see the wine rack in order to choose something! The first bedroom we were offered was a dark, bleak room on the ground floor

I asked about the new hotel – what it was like, how many stars – and she told us it was 5-star. It was a 4-star hotel, and definitely not a good one

The hotel they sent us to was run-down and dirty – black mould on the walls, cracked tiles, and generally in a poor state. We were so upset and couldn’t believe this is where we were expected to stay for half our holiday

The woman on reception was rude, dismissive, and showed no care for our situation at all. She didn’t offer any solutions or alternatives within the hotel and just said we’d have to go to another hotel they had arranged

We got to the hotel just after midnight, having received an email confirming our booking, only to be told there was a “problem” with our room and we couldn’t stay

We originally chose this hotel because it seemed quiet and relaxing – exactly what we were looking for on our first holiday together (we’re 18 and 19)

We also went into Chania Old Town one evening, which cost €28 each way and was definitely worth it — lovely atmosphere, good food, and nice to have a wander somewhere busier

The welcome was really well organised and very friendly. They give you a little tour when you arrive and take you to your room, which is a nice touch and helps you settle in

It’s good if you want to properly switch off — it kind of forces you to relax because there isn’t loads going on. A taxi to Platanias was €12, which was worth it for a change of scenery

The hotel is quite remote, but there are a few small shops and neighbouring restaurants close by that get you through

Unfortunately the sauna and steam room were 20 euros per hour extra. The pool Was too cold to swim in. Hotel staff was great and we got upgraded

The resort and most of the things in the town close up by the end of October and reopen the next year in May

Beach is always empty, even during high season, so you have private beach! Water is warm, nice not to big waves. 1-2m stones and later perfect sand. This is family hotel, staff is so nice and friendly

We usually had breakfast on the beach using tables offered by the owners. The position is perfect to visit all the most beautiful beaches in the west part of the island

Let's start with the owners: Manolis and his mother Stella are really lovely and fantastic people and they do all it's possible to make your holiday relaxing

However, when you go somewhere, they switch off the airconditioning and then you come back smell is not nice again. Yard ir beautiful, but if you want to sit outside or you live in 1st flor - cats are evrythere

I visited the hotel 3 times, in 2023, 2024 and 2025. It's an absolutely lovely place, with a homely atmosphere. The Staff is really helpful, friendly and respectful. The girl working in the reception is amazing

The rooms we stayed in were nicely renovated. The food and drinks served in the restaurant were tasty and good value for money. We were invited to the Greek Evening and it was great fun

Once some men came in from outside of the hotel without wristbands and drank beer and ate food and swam and then when they got figured out left- it must be a thing they do with hundreds of hotels, so keep phones close

The hotel was extremely safe other than that and it was fine to leave belongings. Right next to the beach it was a few steps away so great for sunset pictures. Overall an amazing holiday I loved it so much, thank you

Lots of good local restaurants, the nicest overlooking the sea or a little way up in the hills behind. Dimitri, our very helpful and friendly host, made some useful recommendations

We’ve searched for this year holiday for 6 months because one bad review put us off. But decided to spend this year at Caldera and that was the best decision ever

We got the room at the lowest ground which was a bit dark but travelling with a toddler was very handy as we weren’t woken up at the sunrise 😅 and the bushes around the balcony (we complained about them at first) turned out to be very handy at evenings when we sat there during heavy wind

Water and wine waited for us in the fridge, he served us with fresh orange juice 🍊🍊🍊 and gave us local raki when he found out that we like that 😄 Beautiful apartment with a very high standard 👍 We can highly recommend this place and we would love to come back!
