Kalydna Island Hotel in Panormos

We stayed here last year, and had such a fabulous time, we came back! The hotel is classic Greek style, beautifully clean, with an amazing pool. It's self catering, and we had everything we needed to prepare breakfast, lunches etc. The pool has been rebuilt since last year (it used to be very deep) and there is a very shallow end and the rest of the pool is 147cm. Never too busy, and there was always a sunbed available. It is a 5 minute walk to Kantouni Beach, our favourite on the island....its shallow and sandy and the sea is so warm. In the other direction is a supermarket and local shops, again a few minutes walk away. Opposite Kalydna Island is a mini market, which seems all sorts- we used it mostly for water, milk and drinks. Kalydna Island staff are all friendly and helpful....

A lovely hotel ,good rooms and comfy beds . Basic self catering but expected in Greece . Lovely pool and Micky was a star on the bar ,first class barman . Only criticisms are ,the bar could open a little longer and so could the swimming pool . Lots of local taverna and helpful reception staff who can tell you lots of information . Wonderful holiday , hopefully back next year .

Amazing little gem of a hotel. Extremely clean and well maintained, cleaning staff work hard to keep it that way. Room 99 large double bed and sofa side room with kitchen and two single beds. Huge bathroom including bath and over bath shower. Wonderful staff , with a special mention to the amazing and friendly Micky on afternoon reception she is a credit to the hotel . Shame the miserable blond receptionist on mornings let the whole side down. Pool and gardens well kept. Close enough to bars and restaurants and quiet despite being on the main road. Would definitely stay again. Mix of nationalities staying there.

Staying at Kalydna Island Hotel was a great experience from start to finish. The team there was incredibly friendly and made sure we felt comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. The hotel itself has a charming, traditional vibe that really suits the peaceful atmosphere of Kalymnos. Our room was tidy, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a restful getaway. I enjoyed the pool area which was quiet, clean, and perfect for relaxing in the sun. The location was also a big plus. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because we didn’t rent a car, I wanted to explore the island by walking around/taking the bus. Walking around the island was actually part of my New Year’s resolution, haha! Everything we needed was within easy reach. If you're looking for a quiet, authentic place to stay while exploring Kalymnos, this hotel is a great choice. I’d definitely return! xoxo

I had a fantastic stay at Kalydna Island Hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Kalymnos! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. They always went the extra mile to assist me and my family, whether it was offering local tips or simply greeting us with a smile. The hotel itself is charming, beautifully maintained, and has a peaceful, traditional style. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing holiday. The pool area was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the island. The location is unbeatable – just a 3–4 minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and cafés, and only a few seconds to the bus stop and a mini market. It’s the ideal spot whether you're looking to relax or go on adventures around Kalymnos. Overall, I left feeling refreshed and truly cared for. I’ll definitely be returning. A huge thank you to everyone at Kalydna Island Hotel for making my stay so special!

Excellently clean with new towels everyday and room servicing every day firndly staff very helpful

Hotel located 200m from the beach, with small shop and car hire very nearby. Clean and newly renovated terrace with freshwater pool. Room service and breakfast available. Room clean, new furnishings. Included fridge, hot plate and kettle. Ensuite shower room Aircon charged extra €9 a night Shutters and shade kept the room cool in the day. Very friendly helpful staff in the day with phone numbers for help at night.

I really liked the hotel and I had the best time staying there! All my friends loved the hotel and they want to go again the next year.The stuff was really polite and they wanted to do our stay there better!!The pool was deep but that was good because you could swim easily. I am a climber and I enjoyed staying there. It is close to all climbing sectors.
