A fabulous family run hotel in a superb location. We ended up with a room at the top of the hill with stunning views of the mountains to one side and the sea the other. Each evening, we sat on our balcony mesmerised by the spectacular sunsets. Yes, it is a hike up the hill, but oh, so worth it just for the views alone. Please, if you do have mobility issues, then bear this in mind and don't complain. You are warned on here and in the holiday blurb. Our room was exceptionally clean, and bedding/towels changed every couple of days. Yes, there is a plastic shower curtain - no big deal - and no, there isn't a kettle in the room. Bring one if you're desperate. However, there is a hairdryer and a fridge.Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. No, there isn't a fry up - this is a Greek island, not England! The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas if needed. I did see that beach towels are offered on loan for a few euros a week if you don't bring your own. Refreshments are available at the bar, too. I actually appreciated that the pool area was quiet with no booming music which meant that you really could relax. Bliss! The beach is a five /ten minute walk from the hotel. There are plenty of great restaurants to choose from 10 -15 minutes walk into the main part of Petra. For us, we enjoyed the stroll out and back again. We hired a car for a few days, which I would highly recommend as the island is really beautiful with plenty to see. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will return to this gem of a hotel.

This is our 3rd visit to this charming family run hotel in Petra. We request a high room, yes a bit of climb but worth it for the amazing view. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Typical Greek breakfast with plenty of choice. Large pool with plenty of sunbeds around. Easy flat walk into Petra square takes about 15 minutes. Takes 50 minutes to walk to Molyvos or 10 euros in a taxi. Lots of returning guests to this hotel, and I am sure we will be back.

First time to Lesvos and what a treat it was to stay at the Panorama. We did request a high hill room and we got it, not for the feint hearted but worked off some of the gorgeous food and drink. Hotel is impeccably clean, pool area with lots of sunbeds which could do with upgrading. Breakfast is simple but I’m sure everyone could find something, I’d suggest a larger or more efficient toaster. Food at lunch or dinner was good, their moussaka is lush. Our room was quite big, too single beds pushed together but a gap in the middle due to design. Hairdryer was old and again could do with upgrading as smelt of burning on each use. The shower, mmmm a curtain which isn’t the best and the shower head holder wasn’t adjustable so would have sprayed all over the bathroom if not hand held. No soap dish or shelves but pretty normal for Greece. We did have a slight issue with tiny ants, my tip is not to let your sheets touch the floor if you spot the little bugs. We had no food in our room other than unopened crisps but they came in by doors. Now if you can make the climb, at the top left is a small area which had the best views of the sunset, but shhhhh it’s a secret sundowner spot! Lots of returning guests which speak volumes and yes I would return as Petra is unspoilt and worth the small walk. Thank you Panorama for looking after us ☺️

A really lovely place to stay. The hotel was just perfect. The pool area was lovely, clean and lots of sunbeds. The breakfast was plentiful, and traditional. The rooms were spacious, and the air-conditioning was very efficient. We found we didn't need it to go below 21c. The staff were wonderful. The two brothers who run it are always on hand to rectify any problems and answer any questions about the area, without being imposing, and the younger members of the team were so friendly and polite. Our 2 weeks here were so relaxing. We did a combination of exploring and pool days. The pool days were made even better by the vast library in the hotel. The hotel is just a 100 metre walk from the main road.

What an excellent place to stay. Tremendously reasonably priced, whilst being perfectly situated, down an 800 yard road, right at the Molyvos end of petra and, at the end of the track, opposite the best bit of the beach, with a rather nice beach bar. We drove but I understand transferres drop people off at the end of the drive; which would potentially be a problem for those with mobility problems. As would the walk up to some of the accommodation further up the hill be. However, we contacted the hotel in advance and they were tremendously accommodating of our request for a lower level room. We ate lunch their once and the food was nice (only once as we were often exploring the island). Breaky was diverse and plentiful. Cereal, toast, many different local preserves, Greek yogurt and honey, ham, cheese, fetta, local cakes and snacks (delicious Greek sesame bread sticks). Drinks were extremely reasonably priced (1/2 litre of, rather nice, wine €6 and cocktails €9. Pool was never rammed, with plentiful sunbeds and no one colonising them at 2am. Brilliantly, down one side and along the bottom end of the pool there's a (hard to describe pleasantly but invaluable) sort of 1970s bus shelter construction above the pool side area about 2 yards in width. It was the first Greek holiday (of many I've taken) where I didn't spend all day trying to manoeuvre sunbed to keep my ginger skin under the shade of a miniscule parasol. This was a superb addition. Other sunbeds are either in the sun or in the sun. €10 per day for tourists tax and to pay for the air conditioning; which was cool enough for us (last week in August and 1st week in September, top daytime temperature of 95 degrees). It is pre set not to go below 22 degrees centegrade but we often woke up and it'd worked its way down to 20. The rooms were spacious. Impeccably cleaned, with linen changed every 3rd day. Top marks to the cleaners. Plentiful coat hangers and wardrobe and draw space. Phone, hairdryer, soap, shampoo provided and never a, previously worrying, shortage of lavatory paper. Library was surprisingly extensive. I even managed to find Rugga, Cricket and a couple of history books. The only slight downsides were as follows: 1. There was no kettle provided but we read about this, before coming and brought an £8 one, a spoon and 2 cups. 2. We were in room 244, on the 1st level/ terrace and the WiFi was very weak but we were warned about that. 3. Purely personal preference, I prefer a shower screen, over a plastic curtain. As it stops the bathroom floor flooding and one never knows the cleanliness of the previous backside to have touched the curtain. 4. Again personal preference, the beds were somewhat unforgiving but we used the 2 fluffy blankets provided to make them softer. 5. I would have preferred some plug sockets nearer the bed, for phone and reader charging. The owners and the staff were very friendly and informative. Happy to advise about places to eat, visit and even help

We stayed here at the end August/ beginning September. Although we paid a very reasonable price with Jet2 I was surprised by the quality of the hotel. Rooms were generously sized, clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate for us. Some fresh fruit would have been nice, but we don't usually go for the'hot' options' having tasted Greek bacon and sausage. They also did a 3 course meal in the evening for 15 euros. We didn't eat there so cannot comment on the quality. The pool never seemed crowded, although i did notice a lot of sunbathing towels, despite signs asking you not to. This was probably because a lot of the sunbeds are under permanent shade. The hotel is 200m from.the best part of the Petra beach. Much of the beach is given over to beachclubs. They are a bit crowded with fixed umbrellas - one in the sun and the other in shade, swapping over around midday. The music can get quite load too - mainly europop and dance music. However they only require a minimum spend of 5 euros per person during the day and don't continually castle you to buy drinks. Ghe main town starts about 800m from hge hotel, on a level road. There are about 10 restaurants in the town. The menus are quite restricted compared to other places we have visited, with traditional Greek dishes, grills, pasta and pizzas. Most of them are family owned and service can be a bit haphazard. There are also a number serving fish at very reasonable prices. I had a large dorada for 18 euros and we shared a gigantic sea bass at 40 euros. Prices in most places were like you remember 5 years ago. 3 of us regularly ate for less than 60 euros, with a litre of housewife included. There isn't much nightlife in the village apart from some bars. Those in the centre get very busy. All in all, Petra and the Panorama are little gems if you want a relaxing holiday. The only downside of the hotel is that it is built on a steep hill. Seaview rooms are higher up so don't request on if you have limited mobility. Also, the WiFi seems restricted to the reception and pool area. We could pick it up on our balcony but not in the room. There is, however, an excellent 5g service if you have roaming.

Lovely clean hotel, with friendly staff. Room very clean and spacious. Although please bear in mind if you’re in a studio family room there is a massive hill to walk up to get to your room and then possibly up to 37 steps. This was very difficult for me with my disability and unfortunately Jet2 didn’t fully describe this. The pool was lovely and big, plenty of sun beds no matter what time you get there. The pool area could do with a bit of music to liven the day up, as there is no entertainment at all. The breakfast was basic (Greek style) but I enjoyed it. They could maybe put some scrambled egg or sausages on just to make it slightly better. After eating a really cheap awful tasting burger and some fatty under cooked chicken Gyro we didn’t bother eating anything from the snack bar again as it wasn’t worth the price. You also have to pay an extra 5 euros a day for the aircon which I don’t agree with at all it should come as standard. All in all we had a lovely stay for 7 nights and if it wasn’t for the hill we would definitely return.

Petra is a hidden gem. Lovely place, and it's definitely worth a visit. I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, but I found the owners/brothers very rude. The room we were staying in was at the top of a hill, which does have great views, but it's hard going with a pram and young children. The room itself was great. We stayed a week, and the bedding and towels were only changed once. We had one pillow each, which are thin and lumpy. The housekeepers did come in every day, but unsure what it is, they actually do apart from folding up the bed sheet. The pool area is great, and loads of sunbeds are free all day. This hotel could be great, it's a 15-minute walk into the town of Petra, just little things have let it down.

The hotel was nice overall both location wise and standard. It was a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were good but the beds were quite hard. The view from the balcony was really nice though. There is air conditioning in the rooms but you have to pay an additional cost. The breakfast was really simple but good and you can sit both outside and inside. There was always a lot of empty seats in both shaded areas and sunny ones around the pool. Again overall a great hotel.

The location of the hotel is good. Cleaning does. Air conditioning is extra charge. Breakfast mediocre.
