Sappho Hotel in Skala Eresou

We discovered this gem in June 2024 and loved it. So we came back in July 2025, hoping to be back each summer until we pass away! Our room is right on the sea, as if you are on a boat. It gets cleaned everyday. The open-buffet breakfast is extra-ordinary. The owners and the staff are like family to us. Perfect!

I had a great stay at the hotel, it’s an amazing location right on the seafront, a few minutes walk to shops, restaurants and local amenities. The village is very small and easy to get around with the bus station and taxi office nearby.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the front desk is open fairly late. My the room was very spacious and comfortable and was cleaned daily and towels, shampoos were topped up.

I felt very safe staying there as a solo traveller and would definitely stay there again, as it was reasonably priced. The breakfast was not included in my booking but there is an option to pay on the day for Greek / Continental breakfast.

The hotel Sappho was the only hotel willing to accept a booking for one night. That gives it a good rating for a start. It is right on the beach alongside bars and restaurants. So we knew it could be lively around even at the very beginning of the season. The hotel was quiet but very clean and welcoming. the room, with sea view balcony, was fine for us but I can understand if you are used to modern over-priced hotels you might find this hotel reminiscent of a decade or so ago. The shower is small, typical of the era when the hotel was built but everything functioned and we had a good night's sleep. The owners/managers were welcoming and helpful offering breakfast if required even though they were still not fully open. I appreciated that they would help travellers who needed a room for one night. I liked the place and the experience of staying there in the middle of the lively day and night beach front scene of great bars and great restaurants.

This is an older building with a lot of character and charm. It’s right on the beach and walking distance to all sorts of restaurants and shops.

An excellent family hotel, like a jewel shining in Lesvos! Perfect location by the beach, amazing staff, housekeeping everyday, delicious bountiful breakfast, cool bar & lounge ... thanks so much to all of you for the wonderful time we spent!

Great view from the balcony, clean and comfortable room, good location and helpful owner/staff.

The best place to stay in Skala Erasou. Lovely staff and the owner name is Marianna make our vocation fantasticly. There is no any car noise, just listen to waves and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Don't forget to taste Marianna's special frape. I deffinetly will come again!
