Absolutely terrible customer service!

I reserved a room through Booking.com at the pension over a month in advanced. When it came to paying (about a week before my stay), there was an issue on their end taking the payment with my credit card, so I was asked by Booking.com update my details, and I separately sent them an email to explain. They ignored my email and cancelled my booking without even trying my new card details! Also during this time I had called them six times, and only twice did they pick up, and only once were they actually in the office and able to help.

After they cancelled, I emailed to ask them to reserve my room/try my card again/organise something else, and they asked me to book again through the website—but they put their prices up! When I asked queried them about this, they said (in so many words) it was my problem. Needless to say, I've booked somewhere else....

I can't comment on the rooms or on the location, but I suggest you check out the other reviews. It seems like the photos they provide are extremely misleading, and that most of the rooms are much less nice. If this is indeed the case, then with dodgy practices like that, it bears the question why it was my credit card that was rejected—perhaps they are trying to avoid reverse-payments? But this is just speculation and ought to be taken with a large grain of salt.

Room we stayed in, except the bed and one or two pieces of furniture was nothing like those on photos. Lets start with the bathroom. Ceiling above the bathtub was full of mold. During the shower, from a drainpipe on the floor water was getting out. Bath curtain was plastic and old. Washbasin was clean bit the wood aroun it is old and needs to be repainted. There werw two glasses on the each side of the mirror but so old that it really doesn't make you comfortable to leace your toothbrush in it. And for the bathroom door, it needes to be completely changed because thus one was my grandma had in her old house like 80 years ago! Lets go to the bedroom. Bed was nice and cozy, clean. Tv was 6 meter away, small and not even by a chance you could enjoy watching it, not to mention reading subtitles- unles you have an hawk eyes. A wardrobe was in a place which is so wrong and not allowing you to move freely. Kichen, very very old, sink was outdated as well as cupboards, and by my opinion, kitchen needs to be fully refurbished. We payed 92 euros for two nights, and it is too much for what is offered. 25 is reasonable price per night. Reception does not exist. Let's be honest, prices are too high for some places which are using overbooking in other places. Please reconsider price for value. Try more for getting the best out of your business.

The room I stayed in was nothing like the room I booked and expected to see. Obviously there are two different buildings; the old one where I ended up and the new one that is advertised exclusively in every booking platform. (The toilet hadn't been cleaned which was horrible and unacceptable). Make sure to confirm your booking via telephone before visiting.
