Where to stay in Nafplio

It’s a resort style hotel. Cozy but far from city centre so gotta drive.

This Hotel takes you to a classic hotel, perfect if you want to experience history. It has a beautiful garden for you to enjoy with a book. The breakfast was great. Is is close to Nafplio town and if you have a car, you should stay here. Loved every minute of the stay,

Large hotel out of town, but very quiet. Can be busy with tourist buses. Checkin & out very easy & quick. Stay incl breakfast & dinner. Both served as buffets. Lots of options with the night desert options hard to beat. Not sure how to order drinks. Good facilities with pool & gym. Room spacious with room that opened to a small courtyard. Wifi was OK.

Outside of town, but quiet and relaxing. Open spaces and pretty grounds. Balconies offered a cool breeze into the room. Breakfast and dinner had nice selections. Try the sour cherries next to the jams/marmalade and the sour cherry juice at the breakfast bar. Very nice hotel.

This is not what Google, absurd Americanism, would call a "cozy" hotel. It is well designed, stylish in a functional way and provides all amenities. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are what you need. Especially if you make sure you have a balcony. There is a generous pool. Being outside Napflion is a positive advantage when driving to sites. The room was smelling and dusty. We have asked to clean and tide up the room in the morning of 2nd day and they have just replaced the towels but not the linen. Also, the breakfast was poor with very low quality of food and personnel were careless regarding the cleanliness of buffet that was in a mess by the guests. A great 3 night stay at this quaint hotel. We were originally booked to stay somewhere else but when that didn't happen we booked into the Dias, so glad we did. The staff, Kostas and Angie were so helpful in giving suggestions on the area and places to eat. If we return to Nafplio will definitely stay here again.

A superb hotel in Nafplio’s old city. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, giving us useful tips about restaurants and local sites, as well as background information about the area. The breakfasts were also excellent! A great hotel from which to explore Nafplio.

Fantastic place, it's not the Four Seasons but they welcome you like old friends. The city is amazing and I wish I could have stayed longer than just 1 day.

Nice hotel with a central location in Nafplio. The hospitality is excellent and friendly and on request they even made us find espresso coffee for breakfast which is typically Greek. The general maintenance is a weak point, so much so that we requested a room change, which was granted.

The general design of the hotel deserves a major refresh, large carpets, dark room and fairly uncomfortable mattresses. Lunch there is not worth it, try in a cafe in town instead. Good location though, and everything was pretty clean (although a cockroach was wandering around in the bathroom).

Good central location in the old part of Nafplio, a few metres from the sea. Bathroom needed an upgrade. The breakfast room lacked atmosphere (just in hotel lobby). Our room was on two floors which meant bed was in the attic and a bit dark. In future I would book a room on one level so I had views from the bed! There was no storage upstairs. December is the slow season and this pace was affordable. We had 4 people- two adults, an 18 and 12 yo and when booked it implied that we needed two rooms. At arrival both rooms were made up as if there’d be four people in each. We might’ve all fit in one room but we just had both rooms, plenty of space and enjoyed scenic Nafplio. FYI many stores closed and restaurants empty which might be undesirable...

Nice hotel very close to but not on the waterfront . Staff welcoming and being a traditional hotel no tourist tax to pay. Our room was on two levels, well sequins comfortable but!!! The stairs to the bedroom are steep and narrow, not an issue, until, like me, you need to use the bathroom on the lower floor during the night! Then you discover those stairs being the same wood and colour as the floors...

We had a wonderful two night stay in Room 301. The room was quiet, large, and clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. They even mopped the entire bathroom during our stay and sprayed our linens with a nice relaxing fragrance. The location can't be beat.

I seem to disagree with other reviewers about this hotel. It was our least favorite during our two week trip to Greece. First of all, the pictures on their website are definitely airbrushed or out of date. Our room looked great online but very tired in reality. this was the most relaxing 4 days of our 40 year marriage. we relaxes, took day trips to explore local ruins, fishing villages and Nafplio. the staff were well informed and friendly. The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff were friendly. However we did not have WiFi as we were told they are in the midst of changing a provider. Also with all the fancy switches to control the lights, blinds etc, the bed does not have a headboard. We had no conditioner, shampoo only. A good value in a semi premium class for a resort town sort of setting and surrounding area. Facility has some wear over the decades if you look closely (as many places do), but it proved a solid choice. Well located in old town and still possible to park. Wonderful property overlooking the promenade and a great view of the water castle of Bourtzi. Shopping and Tavernas are plentiful and an easy walk. The staff were very friendly, and requests were responded to promptly. We were only there for 2 days/1 night but would have gladly stayed longer if time allowed. would definitely choose this property again on a return to Nafplio!

Our stay at Kanathos Pigi was probably our best memory in Greece! Everyone was wonderful - warm and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were large, breakfast was delicious and kids enjoyed the heated pool in April. We definitely hope to be back soon!

Beyond our expectations! We booked the hotel because we needed a relaxing break for our road trip. Everything was amazing! Due to low season, we enjoyed outdoor facilities all by our own, clean, beautiful, comfortable! Breakfast was unbelievable great and not expensive at all. What’s impressive is in the room, they offer different kinds of pillows, we had a wonderful rest!

We arrived at this residence and were immediately amazed by the helpfulness and friendliness of Mrs. Sofia, who welcomed us and our cones in a truly hospitable and familiar way. We had a fabulous time at Hotel Kastello. The staff were very friendly, and the room overlooked the green square. The room was very spacious and interestingly decorated. It was also cleaned daily. The communal hallway smelt fragrant, and it was polished.

Cozy hotel right next to the bus station. Our room was facing the bus station so I was a bit worried it would be noisy but I was fortunately wrong. The room is big, there's the bedroom and a smaller living room with a couch. Both rooms have AC and thank god because it was 37°C. It's close to pretty much everything and the host was lovely and attentive.

This was a very nice hotel, located in the historic district and walking distance to everything. Our family of six had three different rooms. All had queen sized beds, well equipped bathrooms, and different sized sitting areas. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with nice views too. Breakfast buffet in the morning had a nice assortment of options/air conditioning. The rate we paid was fine.

The Grand Sarai is the perfect choice if you're looking for something special. The room was fabulous, it was spacious and stylish and very comfortable. The view from our room was incredible- it's got to be the best view in town! The breakfast was delicious with so much choice. The staff in the hotel were really kind and helpful. Shower had corrosion. Room faced an internal patio, sadly used by smokers, so the smell enters the room. Water fro faucet undrinkable - salty... Breakfast staff did no allow to fill our water bottles with the drinkable water served. Reception didn't seem surprised.

The hotel is on the other side of Nafplio away from the center and water front. The hotel is old and has a weird smell. It needs to be renovated. There are no amenities at the hotel and parking is difficult to find. Our kids tried the free breakfast and they didn’t care for it. The beds were not comfortable at all. The furniture is old and non functional. What we paid for the hotel was too much!

Place with character. Perhaps wouldn't describe room 33 as deluxe though, take a note that it has only small windows to the balcony. Plentiful breakfast.

Loved staying here. Be prepared to walk up a lot of stairs to get to reception, but if you stay in one of the lower rooms you will be able to enter at Entrance B, which is further downhill and easier to get to.

The views were spectacular, the breakfast was great, the staff were excellent and the rooms were quiet. On the downside, the wifi was poor, as was the parking, but we were warned about the parking prior to booking and the ocean front balcony was worth the parking inconvenience.
