Very Disappointing – Would Strongly Avoid

Our stay at Golden Days Hotel was honestly a huge letdown from start to finish.

The room hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival, and nothing was maintained during our stay. We were charged twice for air conditioning, which felt like a complete scam considering the already overpriced rate.

The bathroom setup is shocking – the drain is placed in the middle of the room, nowhere near the shower, which causes the whole bathroom to flood every time you wash. Combined with the slippery tiled floor, it’s genuinely unsafe.

We requested a kitchenette and were given a kettle and one spoon – that’s it. The fridge was boiling hot, shoved inside a cupboard, so totally useless.

We also had a serious ant infestation, and to top it off, the mosquito net door was broken, meaning we were absolutely bitten to death during the nights.

The beds were uncomfortable and broken, and to make matters worse, some staff members were quite rude and unhelpful, and others even walked into our room without knocking – which was extremely intrusive.

Privacy is clearly not a priority here – the bathroom door is completely see-through, and it opens to both the bedroom and front door.

As for the pool, it overlooks a main road, so you’re on full display to passersby. We felt stared at constantly while swimming – definitely not the relaxing vibe you’d expect.

For what they charge, this hotel does not deliver. If you’re looking for an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay, this is not it. I’d strongly recommend avoiding Golden Days Hotel altogether.

We loved this hotel so welcoming. The rooms are cleaned every day. You get clean towels whenever you want them or they are changed every other day. The pool area is really clean and looked after. We have stayed here twice this year and will definitely be back again.

We went here for a quick, last minute break in the sun. This is a basic greek apartment complex. Small friendly, lovely pool. Staff were great and the whole place was very clean. Water pressure and temperature for the shower were excellent. The bar only does toasties for a snack as there does not appear to be a kitchen. Afandou village is quite small, and not as touristy as some resorts, however we found several places to eat which were very good and a selection of nice bars. The village is some distance from the beach, so we kept to the pool.

For a 2 star hotel it’s been amazing!!, honestly could not fault them on anything so accommodating and friendly lovely people. Partner had sun stoke and they couldn’t have helped anymore offering to call doctors supplying pain killers. Pool is well maintained quiet and a lovely place just to be in general . Loved our time here thanks so much for having us! 15 minute walk from beach loads off restraints and bar round about. Had a great week thank use again

Hotel was an average hotel , enjoyed it, the weather was great 38+ at days i was there, but too hot for me. I will visit in may and not july-august, too hot. Dont forget you will need to pay for air-conditioning in your room, very surprise about it though? Has a bar, Eating out is cheap and local. Staff were very friendly. Access to hotel swimming but never used it. Check -out time was very poorly managed . I was informed by the hotel staff that check out time was 11.00am and my transport to the airport was 17.30pm. I was made to stay at the reception area for 6.6hrs! , no air-conditioning and very hot , ohhhhhhh gosh!. If you dont check out at the time , you will need to pay extra room use costs. I felt it was exploitative.

I actually looked at reviews before booking and it seemed good. Although it didnt ruin hour holiday it left much to wish for. You have to pay quite a bit extra for air condition ( which you will need) which wasnt mentioned. ( Some hotels do mention that and then it s fare.) I did find the staff friendly and mostly helpful, but the room well. :( It was poorly cleaned even upon arrival so I actually borrowed stuff when the cleaning staffs wagoon where around and cleaned myself. :) It was very small especially the bathroom and the room smelled, it did get better and smelled less with air condition. Some nights where quite loud since other guests in their teens seemed to have problems and acted out drama and woke everyone up. The pool was probably the only plus for this place. I would not stay here again.

**Terrible experience; this hotel should be avoided. If I could, I would rate it a 0.** First of all, I must mention that the photos we saw when booking our 7-night stay showed a kitchen in the room, but it didn’t exist—even though the hotel is called an Aparthotel. We arrived around 11:00 PM due to a delayed flight, and a Man who barely spoke English was waiting for us. He handed us the electronic key for room 101 and informed us that we had to pay an extra 8 euros per day for air conditioning in advance. This was a nasty surprise, especially since this additional cost wasn't mentioned anywhere during the booking process. Try staying in a room at night with temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius without air conditioning. So, we paid and went to our room. **First mishap:** The door opened but wouldn’t close properly. The Man assured us not to worry because someone would come the next day to fix the lock and that he didn’t have the authority to give us another room. The next morning, we faced another issue with the lock: the door wouldn’t open at all. A Rude woman , who I believe was the manager, came to check the lock. She was quite rude and didn’t even introduce herself. After about 30 minutes of trying, the door finally opened. I requested that the lock be fixed, and she snapped, “My friend, if you're not happy, find another hotel,” before leaving. This problem with the lock occurred several times when entering and exiting the room. On the fourth night, they finally decided to give me a physical key to the room, even though they had previously insisted they didn’t have any keys available. **Now, let’s talk about the room.** We found: - 1 electric kettle without cups, which we had to request - 1 dirty refrigerator-freezer miniatures - 2 mini bottles of shampoo, which were never replaced - no hair dryer - 2 mini bars of hand soap, which were also never replaced - Four towels, which we had to ask to have replaced after three days - Dirty and blood-stained sheets, which we requested to be changed, and after numerous complaints, they were finally replaced The room was never truly cleaned; the staff came in daily to empty the wastebasket and make the bed without changing the sheets. **Regarding the bathroom:** It was small, dirty, and had no wall separating the shower from the toilet. **Room:** The walls were cracked, and there were exposed electrical cords and dangling outlets. We also experienced a poor internet connection. Additionally, there were roosters crowing at all hours, and staff members were shouting throughout the day, creating a noisy environment. EasyJet should seriously reconsider its contract with this subpar "hotel."
