This is not a typical guest impression — this is a professional and honest review from someone who worked here in 2022 in Guest Relations, at the Reception desk, and as a hostess in the main restaurant. I know this hotel from the inside. In 2025 I returned as a guest, and I can confirm: the quality, atmosphere, and standards remain excellent. Arrival & Reception Warm welcome, fast and smooth check-in, professional communication. International reception team, elegant uniforms, confident and polite staff. You immediately feel the level of hospitality and training. Room I stayed in a Sea View room with a private pool. Perfectly clean, quiet, fresh, maintained to a very high standard. No signs of wear — everything looks and feels cared for. Housekeeping works accurately and attentively, just like I remember from my time here. Dining High service standards, organized and calm team, good food quality. A special highlight: Tasos, my former manager, arranged a complimentary dinner in the Greek à-la-carte taverna and a bottle of excellent wine. A thoughtful, personal touch that I truly appreciate. Staff & Hotel Culture I was happy to see many familiar staff members still working here — and some who have grown into higher positions. This says a lot about the atmosphere, management, and the hotel’s values. Staff here are trained and supported, and it reflects in guest experience. Conclusion I have seen this hotel from two sides — as part of the staff and now as a guest. And I can confidently say: Gennadi Grand Resort maintains high standards, strong service culture, and excellent hospitality. I returned — and I would return again.

This Hotel is beyond and above perfect for couples and families. It has everything you need. At the buffet in half board/all inclusive you habe so much to choose and really delicious food. The staff is so helpful, friendly and tries to make everything possible for you. We can recommend this hotel! There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel so you can also visit lindos or other places. In the Hotel you also have many entertainment choices like darts tournaments, beach volley, many yoga sessions, tennis, live music etc.🥰

What a fabulous October half term get away. Can’t fault the facilities and a tentative staff. We chose to stay bed and breakfast as wanted to also enjoy the local restaurants which are excellent. We’ve had perfect breakfasts every morning at the hotel with an incredible selection on offer. We’ve also enjoyed lunches by the pool and suppers when we wanted to stay closer to our home from home

Hard to fault tbh,Only negative was pools too cold at this time in October realise probably fine earlier in Season,Staff are excellent, food is excellent so is service,spotless clean. Special mention to Elle in Grand bar and Alex and his staff in the spa but Thanks to all Staff,If only Carlsberg made hotels.

I was a bit skeptical at first about the location, since it’s further away from the town of Rhodes, but I actually loved that it was separated from the noise and crowds. If you rent a car, it’s perfect - you can easily drive around and explore the island. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations. We were welcomed with a drink and even driven to our room, which was a lovely touch. The rooms are fantastic - spotlessly clean, quiet, and equipped with everything you could possibly need (even a private pool!). It’s the kind of place that really helps your nervous system unwind. Although the hotel was supposedly fully booked, we barely noticed any crowds because the grounds are so spacious. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were wonderful - make sure you try the shakshouka! The beach and pool areas were just as impressive. Honestly, this was the first hotel stay where we didn’t have a single small complaint. Everything was just right.

A very modern hotel with an ergonomic layout, everything almost timelessly dimensioned, so there is no problem with deck chairs by the sea, pool, drinks and food can be ordered by the sea and by the pool electronically, which a lot of people really use, so there are no queues at the bar. And not even in the high season - we were there in July and then then at the end of August and the beginning of September, the atmosphere was always very relaxing. Nice and very helpful staff. A large number of different bars and restaurants and various corners where you can sit in peace. Excellent and quality food with a large selection, including fish. No high-rise buildings, the hotel is architecturally sensitively set to the country. Carefully maintained gardens where they grow a lot of Herbs. You don't have to wear any bracelet here - you only need to say the room number everywhere. You don't have to throw used toilet paper into the trash, as in the vast majority of other Greek hotels. And there are no other hotels near the hotel, and there is actually no city So hotel and public beaches seem half empty. The hotel is about 2 hours away from the airport bus trips, but it's worth it.

As a family of four (kids aged 13 and 9) we truly loved our 9 night stay at Gennadi Grand Resort in August, rating it as one of the best resorts we’ve been to. The staff were lovely and engaging, food delicious and a good selection on offer through out the day. Our room, a two bedroom suite with pool, was spacious, clean and relaxing and we had no significant issue with noise despite being centrally located. The activities were fun, varied and good quality and catered for all our needs (tennis, table tennis, different yoga sessions, small gym, darts, aqua tabata, waterpolo, boat hire, astronomy night and gaming nights for the kids). The general vibe was chilled, chic, easy going and calm. Pool and beach areas were comfortable and well maintained and you could find a space at poolside or at the beach at anytime of the day. The surrounding area offered beautiful hillside and sea views and sunrise was stunning. It was a hot but easy walk to Gennadi, where there was a good selection of bars and restaurants (Kourkoutavlos offered great pre dinner drinks and Mama’s Kitchen served delicious Greek dishes). We also hired a car to explore the more untouched southern part of the island. Negatives would be the use of single use plastic, questionable recycling and lack of water refill stations. Also the resorts sun lounger policy wasn’t adhered to, which encouraged guests to refrain from occupying a sun lounger before 10am and not leave items on loungers unattended for more than 30 minutes. This meant reserving sun loungers by the main pool early. We didn’t have any hassle in relation to this as we were pretty fluid about where we based ourselves at the resort but it has the potential to cause frustration. If I had the opportunity to stay here again I wouldn’t hesitate and I’m keen to look into alternative Lindos resorts. Thank you for a great holiday.
