Is was here 13-20 september 2025. The location is spot on. Right down to the beach, you have to pay for a sunbed on the beach. But the pools are great. The environment around it is great.
Now food, some is good but most of it i average to bad. It just lacks flavour. And some i dry. All drinks, soda and so on, you have to order through the staff. So it takes time instead you taking it yourself.
The staff is nice and friendly.
The hotel is clean and fine. The rooms are a bit small when you are to grown ups and a child. But great view of you get a ocean view.
WiFi is nothing to take about, its just bad

We spent our holiday with our 4 year old daughter at Irene Palace Beach Resort last June, and this year we decided to return because of what we appreciated most — the family atmosphere and warm welcome. Throughout our stay we felt that the staff really loves children, so we felt safe, relaxed and comfortable. The stuff talked with the kids, smiled, remembered their names, and did their best to make us feel at home. We developed close relationships with some members of the staff, whose affection and friendly communication we especially appreciated — particularly the wonderful cleaning lady Teresa, very warm-hearted person, who gave us a comforting hug after the earthquake and always greeted us with a smile; the professional and friendly reception staff member Nina; Vasilia, who warmly welcomed our child every evening at the restaurant and spent some time talking with her even on a busy night (our daughter loved such moments with her); and the lovely restaurant team — Anthoula, Irena, Marina, Anastasios, and Panagiotis — to whom we are very grateful for their daily attention. This hotel is especially worth visiting because of the people who work there, but also for the delicious food, great location with beautiful garden and pleasant beach, and excellent facilities for children. Bus stop is near hotel, which is very convenient. However, cleanliness should be improved — in a four star hotel there should not be yellow stains in the basin, and rooms should be cleaned under the beds. A dead fly that remained on the stairs for the whole week showed that the stairs had not been cleaned for some time. Nevertheless, we are sure these flaws can be easily corrected.

This definitely isn’t a 4 star hotel or all inclusive, I would gravitate towards a 3. Food, pool, beach and waterslides are best thing about this hotel, but it would be great if people didn’t reserve sunbeds at stupid o clock in the morning - went to pool at 7am and people had already reserved beds and they didn’t show up to the bed until after 9:30-10am. Some staff nice, some staff rude but we arrived first day and asked for late checkout which they said would be ok and we would get a confirmation email, only to be told on the last day we can’t get late checkout out they are fully booked? We spent all week thinking we were going to get a late check out only to be told different last minute - very frustrating. Rooms are old, desperate need of refurbish and the WiFi/signal is rubbish in the rooms but it’s fine everywhere else around hotel. Entertainment team boring and old. This hotel is definitely more targeted for Europeans (majority of them rude and have a staring problem) for the review that said “for any other English visitors worried that this hotel was more for other European visitors based on reviews, it is definitely not the case.” is simply not true unfortunately, no English people so felt as though we stuck out like a sore thumb. No showers for people with late checkout. Our first time visiting Greece and it’s put a damper on it.

Irene Palace Beach Resort is a great choice for families with children. The food is excellent, very much like what you’d find in traditional Greek taverns – everything we tried was delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive, with waiters bringing drinks to your table at every meal.
The hotel is clean, with spacious and tidy rooms. The beach is very close (sunbeds are available for a fee). Every evening there’s a mini disco for kids, and during the day there are activities by the pool for both children and adults. In the evenings, the entertainment is simple but fun – things like , greek evening, music quizzes, movies quizzes, and games for all ages.
The hotel itself is not very large, which can actually be a plus for those who prefer a cozier atmosphere and don’t want to get lost in big crowds at the restaurant or outside. We stayed as a family (two adults and one child) and found it to be a peaceful place where we could really relax and rest.

We spent a week here at the beginning of September as a family with a small child (1.5 years old) and we were very satisfied. This is of course a hotel mainly for families with children and retirees – but both groups got along very well, and everyone found their own way of enjoying the holiday.

Although the hotel is older, everything was functional, clean, and in good condition. The food was varied, plentiful, and very tasty! Fresh fruit was always available, and the dining hall including the terrace was large enough that we always found a place to sit (with a high chair available for our child).

The hotel staff were kind, smiling, and helpful. The outdoor pools were plentiful – from deep ones to shallow paddling pools for children – and there was even a fenced kids’ water world with fountains and slides. All pool areas were regularly supervised by lifeguards. The pool surroundings were beautifully arranged, with lots of green spaces and palms where you could relax, sunbathe, or read in peace. The walkways were lined with banana trees, and the sea was just a 2-minute walk down a path. The beach had sunbeds and umbrellas (for a fee), but you could also spread your towel nearby. The entrance to the sea was cleared of large stones, making it comfortable to walk in.

We especially appreciated the reception’s willingness to extend our late check-out until the afternoon (for a fee) and, of course, the free provision of a baby cot. The hotel also has a small shop with all the necessities, open until 11 pm. The center of Kolymbia is just a 5-minute walk away. There is also a car rental service in the hotel (very popular among guests), which also provides child seats.

In conclusion, we were very satisfied – the value for money is unbeatable. We will definitely come again and are already looking forward to it.

I would also like to add a note regarding some of the negative reviews here and on TripAdvisor:
Please keep in mind the price category of an all-inclusive holiday here! For around €1000 per person per week, you cannot expect everything to be brand new and luxurious. I repeat – although the hotel is older, everything was clean and functional! No insects, no mold. Noise from neighboring rooms can happen in almost any hotel. I must emphasize again the quality, variety, and taste of the food. As for the fact that no bottled water is provided in the rooms – you can buy packs for just a few euros in the hotel shop if you don’t want to drink tap water (we drank it, including our child, and had no issues at all).

The complaint that guests reserve sunbeds around the pool early in the morning, despite it being forbidden, is the same in every resort where sunbeds are free. Misbehaving guests cannot realistically be punished across the board.
And, as I already mentioned, this is a hotel for families with children and retirees – such guests generally don’t mind a bleach stain on a carpet, for example.

Once again, and for the last time: for the price, it is very good value – as we say back home, “a lot of music for little money” 😉

The staff nice and very friendly but the hotel no way 4 star. Max 2.5 or 3 star way to far . The hotel dont have smoking policy im a non smoker people jist smoke every where outside that unacceptable . You cant watch kids entertainment when next to you all tavle lookj like a smoke factory. Or next to the swimming pool. You need to put 1 sifn where people smoke!!!! After dinner the bar que unaccatble 1 or 2 people working que outside tbe lobby!!! Thats hotel very good with small kids under age 8 but tbe oldest they bored. Need to put some money to refurbished ome plave the hotel over used.

Very kind, helpful en friendly staff! Good choice for families with children. The lactation is very good, it’s about 35 minutes by bus from the airport. It’s also near many shops of Kolympia.

Not exactly a 4 star hotel, according to the habitual criteria applied in the Mediterranean area, but everything in the right Place at the right Moment. A particular merit note for the restaurant service and variety of typical National and International cuisine. In a week I had a taste of at least 4 different kinds, all excellent. Very clean swimming pool. Kindness in all personnel, waiters and maidens. Not so kind at the bar: unfortunately, quite rude.

I do not recommend this hotel at all. It was uncomfortable, and we were left with unpleasant impressions after our stay at this hotel. We bought an “all-inclusive” tour from All Tours. We specifically discussed the terms of this “all-inclusive” package, what was included and what was not. Upon arrival, we found that the promised free towels for the hotel pool were suddenly being offered for a fee: 5 euros per towel plus another 5 euros for a deposit. WATER IN BOTTLES IS NOT FREE! (There is no water in the rooms either.) In the dining room, which cannot be called a restaurant, there were funny signs on the water dispensers saying that you cannot fill your bottles with water! Rude staff. They reacted aggressively and rudely to any request. One key per room. The room was dirty. The hotel is old, and I was struck by the corridors with their shabby, dirty carpets. The air conditioning is old and cannot be adjusted. It blows directly onto the children's bed, and my husband had to sleep there and caught a cold on the second day because of it. It was impossible to turn it off, because the room immediately became very hot and stuffy. There was a kettle in the room, but it was unclear what it was for, as there were no cups, spoons, water, tea, or coffee. Boring entertainment. Noise insulation in the rooms is poor. The coffee was disgusting. You can BUY normal coffee at the bar. Free ice cream at the bar was only given to children. If an adult came to get local ice cream (even for their child), they would SELL them the local ice cream. And this was with “all-inclusive”!!! There weren't enough sun loungers. Some guests reserved them at around six in the morning and only showed up at the pool after lunch. The only good impression was the service provided by the lifeguards on the water slides and a couple of people in the dining room. We complained to a representative of All Tours, who offered to change our hotel for an additional fee! No HELP was provided at all. Never ever again – neither to this hotel no to All Tours!

Was invited to a birthday party. Greeting was very good. Thank you Sylvana for the great service. Mixalis the fnb manager and Sotiris the lifeguard and his team. Thank you. Everything was wonderful 😊
