Hotel Zoe in Limenaria

Tui this is NOT a 4 star hotel ! It is just about a 3 star. The problem when you start to misinform customers is that you raise their expectations which in turn leads to immediate disappointment. The main hotel is based a 30 minute walk away from the nearest shops , bars and restaurants, unless you decide to use the hotel facilities across the road in the sister hotel , Blue Dream Palace. Here you find a beach , sunbeds, and a taverna , but be aware none of these facilities are free , you get a small discount and Blue Dream is a definite 4 /5 star at first glance. The Zoe hotel staff are lovely especially the day time receptionist I think her name is Dominique, she really goes above and beyond. Bar staff are good but one guy is very moody rude and miserable . If you are choosing ALL INCLUSIVE be aware this is NOT all inclusive it is full board + wine or beer on tap that you help yourself to. You will pay for bottles water , and hot drinks unless they are basic tea and coffee. I would only recommend people go Bed and Breakfast unless you cant drive or dont want to pay 8 euros for a taxi to Liminaria. The food in Zoe is not good. It is never hot and the restaurant is chaos , people queuing and wandering all over the place. The system is terrible too small an area to see. Food is stored in lage metal containers that do not appear to be plugged in so unless you like tepid meals prepare to be disappointed. I ate more unhealthily in Greece than I do in the UK as I had to stick to (Safe food) due to numerous people having upset stomachs. The pool . The pool area is lovely but not cleaned enough there is a slimy green line all around and the soft furnishings are filthy with old sweat. Tip - if you use the bean bags you will get less bother feom the wasps they dont seem to like flying under the pergolas. Wasps are an issue over the whole island so eating anything outside is only for the brave they are not attracted by sweet sugar as they are in the UK more by protein meat eggs and fish . I peeled an egg and they swarmed the shell in seconds. Bar snacks are available at cost but are the same quality as food at mealtimes , I ordered a cheese and ham postie and it was literally 2 slices if dry toast with a slice of ham and cheese , dry and basic. Rooms. Rooms are cleaned daily , and are a good size, you wont be impressed if you are on the hill so make sure you disclose disabilities when booking, there is a golf buggy service to drive you up and down but many of the phones in the rooms dont work so ordering one can be a problem. If you have an early flight home you will be given a lunchbox with 2 slices of dry bread a slice of ham and cheese. Apple , cake ,and a bread stick. But there is a bakery at the ferry port so I recommend getting breakfast there and ditching the box. Sheets are old and worn , pillows lumpy , no room service , no kettle or drink making facilities but there is a fridge and they supply slippers , bath robe (very worn) s
