Alexandra Beach Spa Resort in Potos

We had a deluxe room with sea view and the room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed, plus was nicely designed. The room cleaning staff did an amazing job. The food of this hotel is excellent and there is enough variety every day, so it doesn't get boring. We liked the most, that there is actually a bit of greek food every day, because why going to greece and not having greek food? The restaurant and bar staff is very helpful and friendly. Loved the good mood. The beqch is clean and nice and the other areas are also clean and cozy. The design of the whole hotel are is well done and greatly maintained. Absolutely recommendable, especially out of season. Prices for drinks and food outaide half-board are fully worth it. We surely will come again. And not to forget the nice ancient artifacts presented in the hotel lobby. Very interesting.

We love this hotel! This was our second visit and won't be our last! On arrival we were given a complimentary glass of chilled prosecco and taken to our room by golf buggy. Our room was lovely, spacious and clean with a lovely sea view terrace surrounded by fruit trees. The pools, terraces, gardens and beach at this hotel are gorgeous. The food was lovely with plenty of choices and the service from Athina and Yoli made our holiday! Athina was a big part of why we returned to this hotel. She is lovely and goes above and beyond to look after you. There is nothing to fault about this hotel and we loved our holiday there and the stunning sunsets.

This was out 3rd holiday at Alexandra Beach Resort and it was as good as the previous stays. Arriving at the hotel is like turning a switch and you are in relax mode and forget all your troubles and worries. Since our last stay the rooms have been completely refurbished, our room now had a shower you can walk in - very good for me as I am handicapped. The cleanliness of the rooms is equalled by the upkeep of the gardens and footpaths, can't be better! We loved the excellent food in the restaurant, the variety is great, there is something for all kinds of tastes. We especially enjoyed the barbecues. At least once a week we enjoyed live concerts by the pool. Despite staying at a rather big hotel we always felt like being a part of a great family. This feeling is provided by excwellent staff, in the restaurant, at the reception and at the bars. They always have time for a chat, and we have rarely laughed as much as during the holiday. As we love animals, especially cats, there is one thing we need to mention: The hotel staff allows a number of cats top live in the hotel garden and at the beach and to comer to the restaurant terrace. They are not forced away, and nobody complains if a guest gives a nibble to a begging moggy. Living at the hotel together with the cats is part of what makes this hotel so great for us. The beach offers free sunbeds and parasols, and there is a beach bar for drinks and snacks. A new marina has been built last winter, and with it modern toilets and showers for the use of the beach folk, too. Potos village with shopping opportunities, pubs and taverns is a 15 minute walk away, and not far from the hotel entrance is a bus stop with buses to the capital Limenas. Cars can be hired from a hotel desk, scooters and quads from the village. But there are also walks possible, we recommend the walks to Limenaria and to a viempoint south of Potos.

Just the most relaxing holiday, wonderful hotel with fruits and vegetables growing all around. Clean , friendly great food and great service all with a fabulous beach to while your time away between snorkelling with the fish in the crystal clear and warm sea. What more could you wish for. We will be back.

We stayed at this hotel years ago and loved it so was worried that it wouldn’t be as good second time round. But it’s even better! Staff are so friendly and well trained. Rooms are comfortable well decorated and clean and hotel grounds are fabulous with lots of places to sit and enjoy the views. The food was varied and tasty. We love the location as you can turn either way out of the hotel and walk to other beaches and restaurants. It was my fourth time in Thassos and won’t be my last! There are so many pretty places so hire a car and look around - you can drive right round the coast in about two and a half hours. Or go inland into the mountains. We went at the end of the season so we got superb value for money and were super relaxed all week. I can’t really complain about anything but like other reviewers I’d have liked some full length wardrobe hanging space and yes the loungers on the beach aren’t that comfortable. It was good to see that since our first visit the hotel has added a couple of jetties into the sea so swimmers don’t have to negotiate the stones getting in and out.

Loved the location of the hotel, above the little beach, with beautifully looked-after gardens. Couple of nice pools. Possibly the most uncomfortable sunbeds in the world on the beach; better round the pools but still not great! So many different places to sit and read or chat to fellow guests. My room 5125 was comfortable and exceptionally clean. However the furniture was very poor - the wardrobe space was pitiful, longer dresses crumpled as the hanging space was too short; no drawers to speak of. Safe right on the floor so extremely difficult to access. Great fridge though! Restaurant was cramped on occasion, food good on the whole. Staff extremely helpful. However no information about anything regarding the hotel eg kettles, TV channels, in the rooms.

Great location, rooms where very spacious. They were cleaned everyday and also clean towels. All the staff worked very hard and was very friendly and always had a smile on there face. The sunset views from the hotel were amazing. The only thing I would say let it down was, there was alot of children .So it would have been nice if 1 of the 2 pools was adults only .Because if you wanted to just swim it was hard with inflatables and lots of children around Breakfast had alot of choice hot and cold food. Evening food could have been a bit more adventurous it was very similar every night.

This was our 12th visit to the lovely island of Thassos but it was our first time staying at the Alexandra Beach Spa and Hotel complex in Potos and we could not have made a better choice. If only we had discovered it before! It is such a beautifully situated hotel and the design and layout is absolutely amazing - there are so many different spots where you can relax in peace and quiet or laze by one of the pools or areas where you can have a wander and get a bite to eat or enjoy a drink. Everything is well designed, beautifully kept and maintained and the staff are wonderful (a special shoutout to the dining staff, the reception staff and the gardeners.) We had half board and a deluxe apartment which was very close to the main restaurant and it was perfect for us and worth the extra expense. There were no negatives for us though maybe some people would wish for a slight bigger beach. The first time you go for breakfast or dinner it looks very busy and crowded but actually it’s very easy to help yourself to the kind of food you want (there’s so much variety) and you never find it hard to get a table - everything is so well organised. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel complex but just regret finding it so late in our visits to this perfect island of Thassos.

Very beautiful, large and luxurious resort with different types of accommodation (from doble rooms to suites with private swimming pools), in front of the sea in Potos, with beautiful gardens and swimming pools, fantastic view, rich buffet in the morning and afternoon and extremely kind and friendly staff!

My husband and I just got back from a week at Alexandra Beach Hotel/Half Board. The Room was really clean and a lovely size. The gardens and surrounding areas were very well kept. The private beach had plenty of beds and a small bar that served snacks and drinks. Could have been a little cleaner as lots of Ashtrays that needed emptying and butts in the sand around the tables. The Poolside Bar was spacious with amazing views. Staff were overall very efficient and friendly. The best part of the Hotel was the Restaurant. The Team worked so hard and were so professional. Thanks especially to Athina, Yoli, Socrates and Nikos who looked after us well the whole week. The food was wonderful at Breakfast and Dinner. Such a good variety of flavours and definitely something for everyone. We were really impressed and would recommend this hotel. Thank you so much. Caroline and Neil xxx
