The hotel is probably one of the better ones in the are. It was reasonably clean, both in terms of the rooms and the spa.
The tech in the room (like TV) is a bit outdated, no streaming service, just Hungarian free to watch channels.
The main bed was okay, but in the family apartment, there was no extra bed, just a sofa, making it very uncomfortable for the family member sleeping there. The pillow options are not so great either.
The room is clean but the balcony is not cleaned and full of spider webs, so you can't comfortably sit out and enjoy the views.

In the spa, massage is available, and they have a good selection of saunas and pools, which is great when the weather doesn't allow you to use the lake. The lake is 1 minute from the hotel.

The food is good. The selection is not great, but tasty. Especially healthy options are absent.

They charge a lot for the car parking place, but it's still full. When someone parks incorrectly, taking two places, and you can't park because of this, you get no help from the hotel.

Wellamarine has been a blessing for me during the Covid 19 Pandemia. This hotel is just at the lake side. The distance from the main train station is less than one kilometer. Internet wifi speed is excellent. There is a wide variety of restaurants around the hotel but I love the ambience, hygiene and the taste from the restaurant which is located at the lake side. The deer soup, pizzas or the ice creams are not only delicious but reasonably priced too. The gym is well equipped. I enjoyed the Gym and the saunas a lot. They have very well maintained small pools, with jacuzzi in and outdoors, nice, cosy places for relaxing and 4 kinds of different saunas to choose from.There are nice places for sunbathing, to enjoy reading, for meals with a view of the lake. The professional staff was very kind and polite. Special thanks to Dorena, Eva and Anna.

Clean. Great location. Staff are very helpful. Food is plentiful and varied. Pools are spotless. Highly recommend this accommodation.

We went in August and loved it: gorgeous property with side views of the lake; kind and helpful staff, and fabulous buffet with enough options to meet multiple dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan with nondairy milks, gluten-free); free beach with watersport rentals (SUP, windsurf, etc.)

Do know that the south side of Balaton has shallow water for a long distance, so it feels funny for swimming, but it is great for people who want shallow water really spread out.

Nice hotel with good service. The spa has a variety of amenities and they were able to fit my wife in for a wonderful set of spa treatments. The outdoor pool is nice but too shallow.

Horrible service . Staff sometimes awfully rude. Unsafe- saw three people slip and fall, 2 at the pool and one when the cleaners left the floor wet with no sign. Air conditioning worked on and off despite repeated complaints, on august. Spent 4 nights with little sleep because of heat. Food not good, and we had to ask for everything repeatedly. Charged extra for room keys. Corridors to rooms required card, so if you’re traveling in a group it is highly unfriendly. Above all was disappointed at the unhelpful staff.

Horrible service! Air conditioning working on and off despite multiple complaints. Wet floors caused 3 falls I witnessed myself. Staff sometimes kind sometimes unbelievably rude. For four nights i was unable to get adequate bed sheets and covers. Charge extra for simple things like extra key cards. Sooooo disappointing

Perfect place! I had taken at a business meeting at the ground level. Kind staff - it is suitable for handycapped as well.
