Hotels in Szantod

Not bad, but expensive. The playhouse and the adventure pool are not connected to the hotel, so if it's cold it's unpleasant to walk through the yard. It's not designed for Hungarians and has non-Hungarian prices, they spoke English at the reception. The foreigners are aggressive compared to us, they push everywhere. My daughter waited two days for body painting, then they got it done in 3 minutes...

What we really liked was the playhouse and the water world. In the cool area, there is a waterslide complex just for kids. The water is pleasantly heated, and the jacuzzi is warm. The entire hotel is modern and newly built, and the rooms are practically furnished with a bathtub, microwave, and Nespresso coffee machine. The animation staff (young female animators) do their best to entertain the children...

The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the cleanliness and staff deserve the highest praise. The facilities for children are excellent — the large playroom is spacious, tidy, and spotless. The water in the pools is warm, and the pool hygiene is at a very high level. It would be nice if the pool were a bit larger, but everything is kept in good order. The only real drawback is that the pool is...

The hotel is quite nice but definitely not 5* hotel. We have a junior suite with a view. Room is nice but there is no dishes and they did not changed our dirt sheet in three days, they took our small towels, but did not give new. The treasure hunt for Halloween was disaster, not enough sweets and kids were so disappointed. Should be improved.

Great location, right next to Lake Balaton, parking outside the hotel and in the garage. 1. Spacious, clean rooms, daily housekeeping, minibar refilling, staff re-checking the room before the evening to make the night comfortable. 2. Excellent childcare, children's corner with lots of activities during the day, playroom, child-friendly toilets, safety features, dinner menus, family park with lots...

The best family-friendly hotel we’ve been to. We didn’t want to leave. Simply amazing!

This is at least the 5th consecutive year when we go to this hotel - sometimes more than ones a year. Very good spa, not only sybolic, excellent restaurant, even for us, vegetarians, very kind personell, who are always helpful an flexible. And very good prizes too. We are very satisfied - that is for why go there again and again.

Exceptional natural environment and location on the shores of Lake Balaton with excellent cuisine and high-quality hospitality in every respect.

We return to Club Tihany every year for our company’s team-building sports day. The location is truly ideal for large group events. The venue offers a big space and plenty of space for activities such as dragon boating, laser tag, beach volleyball, football and many other sports. It’s perfectly suited for hosting active programs with large groups. That said, the main building and the rooms definitely...

It is a well kept property. We loved the longer shoreline. It is very busy but still I did not feel super crowded. Lots of activities are offered for families. Food is great. Suggestion: beach towels. We had to carry our bathroom towels to the beach. The price of the accomodation is quite high. Minimally, the water at the dinner table should be free.

Clean hotel, complete services, very warm rooms, spa is also very clear. In half board accomodation choices where relatively limited but very tasty. parking is charged extra although there is no alternative.

Everything is always perfect! Excellent services! Long-opening wellness, delicious food, clean rooms, beautiful beach! The STAFF is kind and attentive! We have been here many times, it is our favorite place. Thank you for the experience, we will be back!

We re-visited this hotel again in August. The staff was nice and this time our room was in the main building. We enjoyed this room much better that staying in the new wing in June.

We stayed at Tihany Yacht Club two nights in June. The staff was nice, parking was easy. Our room was very clean, facing Lake Balaton. Breakfast was OK but be prepared if you to go after 9:30, there is hardly anything left...

The room was lovely, nice, big and clean. The food was good but a limited choice. Private secured parking, superb WiFi and an absolutely fantastic location with friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful by day, listening to the waves roll onto the rocks and atmospheric at night with the lighting around the area. Lovely big area for the dog too!

I really liked the location. Room was small but comfy, moderen and clean. Bed very good.

Beautiful and clean hotel with outdoor pool and free sauna. Lake is 5-7 min from here. Staff were very nice and polite. Highly recommend. Only downside was there was no mosquito net in our room during mid July.

Very pleasant hotel with professional staff and a family-friendly atmosphere. Excellent breakfast and overall great experience. Highly recommended!

I spent a night here, the location is beautiful. There is a pool outside, we were able to use it during night, there is also a sauna. The breakfast was good as well.

This was our second time here. I did not remember that we could here the noise of the trafic from the main street last time. But it was really loud this time. With earplugs it is okay to sleep. The pool was great. Little bit cold. Very nice staff. The breakfast and dinner was much better I expected. The sortiment is not huge but food is nice. The lake Balaton is really close by walk. Best experience...

Nice staff, nice location and nice accommodation 😀

Nice location, friendly staff, nice rooms.

I was here for a mathematical psychology seminar, and we were very well taken care of at Jogar Hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and quite relaxed about having 35 students in the hotel, playing in the game room until late evening. We felt welcomed and treated well as guests. Everything was clean and the food was… memorable. I highly recommend

Nice hotel with confortable facilities. Good staff

Older hotel, but with renovated rooms. Large private parking outside. Conditions were good and the staff was very accomodating. The breakfast was also good.

Well, if you are around this magic side of the Balaton, it is definitely a must. All local ingredients and prime quality service and preparation.

Nice place that will teach you that luxury is much different than elegant furniture and a very small portion of food for dinner. It is a state of being.

The best hotel for seminars. The food is perfect.

stunning view, amazing location, friendly staff and delicious food

Not worth the price really. Rather poor breakfast options. Poorly equipped and designed room.

Great place, superb food in Fricska restaurant, lovely lady in reception. Free safe parking.. Thank you for great weekend break.

All and all pretty good. Food is average but not bad. Rooms are budget friendly. So you get what you pay for but my days the location is ridiculously good. I would say it's worth it.

the staff is kindly polite for breakfast with a delicious wide selection.Because unfortunately my feet are sick I was glad that there is an elevator only to the room had to go down stairs which was strenuous. Before booking I inquired by phone in this direction and got a reassuring answer. . The cleanliness of the whole hotel is impeccable. The room is also suitable for all areas.

I pretty much got what I paid for. Decent breakfast selection, good location, WIFI in the rooms. - The rooms could be cleaned better.

I didn't actually stay here but I had it booked back in June. I was going to Balaton sound festival. I didn't realise that there was no way to drive from Tihany to Zamardi, that you had to get a ferry. Anyway, I was super stressed and they cancelled both my room and my friend's room free of charge. Very grateful for this. Thank you again.

A wonderful smaller hotel, that invites you to relax and be present. It has a warm, sensuous atmosphere. Love is put into the details. The breakfast buffet is not a large machine like you see in big tourist hotels. On the other hand, there is a delicious breakfast menu selected with care and awareness. Good service. The cocoa machine was broken, and the waiter immediately made a homemeade hot chocolate...

Enough good, poor facilities (shower cabinet very small), small pool (almost for kids). Breakfast in usual manner.

Run by owners, cozy, aparthotel. Our apartment (family 2+3) was enormous. Small pool and sauna/jacuzzi makes it the perfect spot for couple of days relax stay. And Tihany itself is one of the most picturesque place in Balaton area.

Small, cozy hotel, well located, extremely clean, air conditioned, friendly staff, great buffet breakfast, pool, sauna, bikes and more.

Staff very nice, although we stopped just to have drinks. Lots of tables outside. The nearby road is not too loud. Well kept, quiet, fashionable, including the choice of the music (largely raeggae), not too loud.

Wellamarine has been a blessing for me during the Covid 19 Pandemia. This hotel is just at the lake side. The distance from the main train station is less than one kilometer. Internet wifi speed is excellent. There is a wide variety of restaurants around the hotel but I love the ambience, hygiene and the taste from the restaurant which is located at the lake side. The deer soup, pizzas or the ice creams...

The hotel is probably one of the better ones in the are. It was reasonably clean, both in terms of the rooms and the spa. The tech in the room (like TV) is a bit outdated, no streaming service, just Hungarian free to watch channels. The main bed was okay, but in the family apartment, there was no extra bed, just a sofa, making it very uncomfortable for the family member sleeping there. The pillow options...

Clean. Great location. Staff are very helpful. Food is plentiful and varied. Pools are spotless. Highly recommend this accommodation.

We went in August and loved it: gorgeous property with side views of the lake; kind and helpful staff, and fabulous buffet with enough options to meet multiple dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan with nondairy milks, gluten-free); free beach with watersport rentals (SUP, windsurf, etc.) Do know that the south side of Balaton has shallow water for a long distance, so it feels funny for swimming, but it...

Nice hotel with good service. The spa has a variety of amenities and they were able to fit my wife in for a wonderful set of spa treatments. The outdoor pool is nice but too shallow.

everything was fine; the wellness and the spa is very good; the half board breakfast and dinner was delicious;

Restaurant was closed, no dinner possible only small variety of breakfast was available for next morning; Amazing view from the balcony!

The curtains were dirty and torn. Overall design a little dated. Pool was unacceptable conditions (moldy). We did have a sauna in the room which is a nice touch. We arrived at 5 and to room was not done yet. Nevertheless we choose to have a good time. Location is amazing.

Nice place with a nice view. Only problem is with the little parking space and the wellness which closes at 19:00, so if you expect to relax after all day on water you will be quite upset with its early closure. Waitress was very kind.

Great place! Stayed for the festival in 2024, and they went above and beyond for us. Very accommodating staff, nice breakfasts, and quiet area near the train station. On checkout day, we slept through two alarms and had to leave after the checkout time. They didn't make a fuss about it (even though they could have and would have been right) and even agreed to look after our luggage for like eight hours...

Ignoring the bad shower design that made the whole bathroom floor wet, everything was fantastic. The pool and the sauna are awesome. Cheap massages are also recommended

The hotel's best years are behind it and you can still feel the previous era here. A general renovation is recommended. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Food average and with little choice. Nice service, there is a swimming pool in the basement, a billard, darts, etc.

The staff is kind and professional, as well as the reception. The hotel and the rooms are decently equipped, they were very attentive to cleanliness. We also liked the huge pool. With all that said we overlooked the defects such as the lack of AC, thefrequent noises from the highway/comuting train and for the not so well performing wifi. Over all we recommend this place and we will definitely come...

It's a good place to stay in, the food was good, personal friendly and pretty much everything you can ask for. Only thing I disliked was collapsing WiFi.

Nice place, super nice and friendly staff, good food, the rooms are neat and clean but they would definitely need a solid face-lift

Beautiful view over Balaton Lake, worth making the walk up the hill.

Nice well run hotel. Playground on site was great for us. On site restaurant and bar too. Nice breakfast and staff were very friendly.

We've been here several times and we've always been satisfied, and we've returned home with good experiences. Kind, helpful staff. Nicely renovated rooms. Overall, a cozy accommodation.

Extremely kind and friendly staff. They were helpful in everything. We arrived at the accommodation by bicycle. Secure bicycle locking option. Very delicious dinner and breakfast. The rooms they are clean and very cozy. The mattress is very comfortable. The view is fantastic. They were also flexible about the time of departure. We hope that we will have the opportunity to stay here for several more...

We were here only one night but received only positive emotions. The biggest pluses from us: 1) for the location: not far from the highway (it is easy to find this place + gas station on your way) 2) amazing air as the hotel is close to the lake 3) playground with trampoline and children's room with different games (just necessary when you are traveling with 3 children:)) 4) restaurant is open 16....

This place was absolutely charming. Very old style, it felt a bit like traveling back in time. The town is quiet and peaceful at night. This was a last minute booking and the hostess was kind enough to come up in person to show us around. Highly recommend.

Unbeatable view to lake Balaton from room #5. Cute rural houses with reed roof. Internet quality is awful.

I lovin it. Host is so friendly and room is clean. I have been there lately at night but he waited for me for check-in. In a room have a lot of stuff that you need; towel, dishes, cutlery, pan, etc. In the morning you can walk to the end of hotel and see lake view! The location is close to attractions in Tihany, the love village. Unfortunately, I just spending a night. Never mine I will be back.

We had the room number 6 with and amazing design and view. The owners are lovely and this place is highly recommended :)

Great accommodation! Right in the center, nice clean room, I only miss the mini fridge!

We were satisfied with everything, the owners and the employees working there were hospitable, kind, friendly and helpful. We were also satisfied with the room. The view from the parking lot is beautiful.

It is easily accessible due to its central location. The host is nice, the room is clean and tidy. There is some noise from the street, but it is a good choice for one night. The only drawback is that the water barely came out of the shower for us.

My husband and I spent a weekend at the Csöpi pension. The place is in a very frequented area, so everything is easily accessible. The room is nice, comfortable and clean. The owner is kind and helpful. We are fully satisfied. If we come to Tihany on vacation, we will definitely choose this accommodation again. The only thing to pay attention to if we want to use the parking lot in the yard is that...

The location is great. In the center of the village. Very easy on arrival. The lady who welcomed us is very kind.

We stayed one night with my partner last year, and it was very pleasant. The room was super clean, and the whole place looked brand new in general. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a roof window above it, so we could see the stars while lying in bed (while the sky was clear). At the time there was a huge storm at night, but the room still stayed quiet, despite the strong wind, lightning, and...

The guesthouse is very well located, with its own parking lot, clean rooms, friendly environment, very helpful, kind owner,

We were with family, we spent 4 nights there. The host was kind and helpful. We got an iron and ironing board on request! The rooms were clean. Quiet little place, in the center. Almost everything is a few minutes walk away. The breakfast was also very delicious. Fresh croissant and bun every morning! If we go again, Kántás is definitely it. Oh and there is a 10% discount on their own website!!!

Very kind hosts, clean comfortable room, huge terrace, delicious light breakfast, parking in the yard, close to the center. We were satisfied, thank you.

We were guests, but it seemed like they just tolerated us. The motto of the house could be: “Are you just coming to sleep? Then you’ve come to the right place.” We booked for two nights as a family, indicating in advance that we didn’t want to go on a trip or wander around, but wanted to be together in the guesthouse. The owner, at least at the time, took note of this. The place looks okay at first...

We stayed there for three nights, everything was nice and clean, breakfast was very enjoyable.

The hotel has its own private beach，the decoration is very classy, the breakfast is very rich. The manager IIdiko is very kind. always smiling, always ready to help you with any problem.

Excellent Hotel, amazing private beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great for families as well. We had a really good time here twice. Highly recommended!

Excellent service, great private beach, really comfy bed

We stayed here for a week and loved the place. The small private beach is very neat, the staff is super-friendly, and our balcony had a lovely view of Balaton.

No word can use to express how amazing it is

We arrived in one of the worst thunder storms in living memory and they were outside waiting to help us in with our bags! The room was clean, spacious and the breakfast had something for everyone. The staff spoke either English or German. There was a children's playground just down the road on the waterfront. The neighbouring towns were within walking distance (although a car or taxi might be better...

Nice location around the forest, very peaceful where you can recharge your batteries. The food is good but on the pricier side. Facilities: - great swimming pool and wellness (sauna, jacuzzi) - you can rent bikes, scooters and have a massage at a reasonable price - ping pong table and tennis court near the pool plus a playground; some may be not free - at the sublevel there is a fun room with darts...

Very nice place. The beach is circa 400 meters away which is further than what you would expect from the adverts but the hotel pool makes up for it. The food was OK. They have a bowling alley which is nice. But not so nice if your room is above it. And I mean 2 floors above it. So ask for a room as far as possible from it.

I expect more services from a 4 star hotel... Nothing in the room, no water, coffee machine, the fridge is empty... And quite old furniture

It is a great place to be acommodate 😉 very kind staff very good meal, very nice pleasant and silent environment .Well placed, very closed to Balaton lake. We would definetely recommend it 😉

Awesome Hotel!!! Absolutely fantastic!!! Strongly recommended to everyone!!! 😉

Great food. Friendly staff. Decent spa.

I only led an educational session there. Cannot comment on the hotel.

Very well managed Balaton hotel. All kind of services. Kind staff. Perfectly clean.

It is a good hotel with quiet and air-conditioned rooms. The air-conditioning is a bit weird, though, as it is located in the bathroom. The food is very good and you can take as much as you want. The welness is very good also. The parking is too small for the amount of rooms they have. I don't understand their pricing policy, they told me they will send me discounts for the next year and it turned...

Lovely, wellness hotel. The staff is friendly, the food is well presented, and cooked to perfection. Hassle free service. The wellness facilities are satisfactory. The extra services are excellent. I had an hour of relaxation massage, pleasant atmosphere, and the lady was amazing. Super friendly, cheerful and attractive indeed. ;) I would recommend this place to anyone who is after a relaxing weekend...

Nice place. Close to Balaton lake. Private parking available. Wonderful breakfast. Spacious room.

Lovely place, but air conditioning was limited to 23 degrees, so the room was warm

Don't judge a book by its cover This hotel may be old school with dated decoration but it is spotless. The rooms are clean, the beds are new and comfortable and the staff is helpful. The location is quiet, but close to the beach (5 min), and about a 15-minute walk from restaurants and small stores. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great rooms, good breakfast, nice little park in the background. 5min walk to the lake.

This property was cute and very quiet. The staff was very attentive and very accommodating. The hotel was very clean.

It was an excellent experience. Everything was very nice and clean. They have a beautiful garden and location is very close to the lake. Breakfast was also very good and tasty. Nevertheless stuff is very friendly. If you want to spend a few days and to relax , then don´t miss this place! For sure that I will come back next year

This hotel has probably the best location by the lake and probably the best beach area with large territory and a lot of amenities. It's not worth coming in bad weather though as the wellness area is small and outdated. We liked our superior apartment very much, which was spacious, modern, well-equipped and super comfortable. It was totally quiet and we could sleep well with open windows. Well, at...

A good European all-inclusive hotel with clean pools, well-maintained, spacious grounds, plenty of space, and plenty of entertainment for small children (half the hotel's guests). Safety and privacy. The food isn't very varied, but it's fine for a three-star hotel. Ice cream is available on the beach all day.

"There's a shortage of seating in the dining room. People smoke on the beach loungers because, instead of information about the smoking ban and the designated areas, there's a notice saying not to feed the ducks. The rooms are too small for two people, and staying in them with three people, even just in the evening, is a nightmare. I understand that I have to vacate the room at 10:00 on my last day...

The room was not very clean, and the bed sheet had blood stains. I asked the waiter to change it immediately after checking in. The location of the hotel is OK, with its own beach.

Good hotel. Convenient location. Only minor problem was that the pool water was over chlorinated.

The price reflects mainly the "all inclusive" side (food, drinks and own beach), than the rest of the facilities (room size and location- althought an impressive view for those on top floor rooms). The hotel itfself seems to be an old building, refreshed with some upgrades. The cooling system was appreciated, it was not even necessary during the nigh, due to cool temps outside. Food is rather tasty...

Food and the staff except one person at the reception

We had a wonderful stay at the Margareta Hotel. Really nice staff and excellent food (we had half board). The room looks a bit older, but it is very clean. We took the opportunity to play table tennis and the children and wife tried a very pleasant wellness. It would be nice to strengthen the wifi a bit and to put at least a basic small kettle in the room so that I could make my favorite tea next time...

Nice hotel. It was clean and the front desk was awesome.

I've been sometime in Balatonfüred and now we tried this hotel, because it was renovated in the last years and they gave us a special price. The hotel has new BUT small SPA department within 2 Jacuzzi's and 1 small pool for children and sauna's. The room's size was average and it was clean. The staff was nice but the lot of young stuff were beginner! (The waiter couldn't memorize what we ordered for...

Good quiet place, clean, food is excellent only one little mistake doesn’t have kettle for me personally is important I need to take my medication 2 time/ day with hot water just sup rip me never ever happened when I’m travelling another hotel and another country always have Good lessons

Very nice hotel, close to the camp next to danubius hotel. Hotel has room where to save bikes. Biking is common around Balaton. Outside pool and wellness also perfect. Dinning was perfect, breakfast and dinner were perfect, I can recommend. More smiles from staff ;)

Great food and drink, highly recommended, clean, friendly, a hotel where you feel at home. I would like to stay for a year. Simply excellent service and staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am visiting this hotel since 4 years. Location is excellent , the building was well renovated. The pools are good, the hotel and rooms are clean. The room equipments are moderate , compared to 4* hotels . Food is not bad. Pools are great , beach is fine. The main concern is around service . Our suite was not cleaned at all during 5 days stay . The reception staff and outside restaurant staff are...

+ Modern, clean, quiet rooms Nice view to the lake Big window in the room Good food The bar and the bar staff was excellent, they were helpful Nice wellness, many different saunas Fast lifts Central location Secure underground carpark Quick service - No cold pool in the sauna area People smoking on the balconies and the smoke came in through the window Finn sauna only 80 degrees Watches only to...

In front of Balaton lake, nice!

To Balatonfüred we will come again and definately to this hotel!

Great hotel, right at the Balaton, like literally, you just have to step out of the building. Spacious, good atmosphere, elegant design. Comfortable rooms, we had an awesome balcony, even though it was not facing the lake. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, they always changed something, and the quality of the food was truly great! It is a big hotel, but the spa was not crowded, even with the house...
