The place to stay is very close to the church. Service is so-so. Breakfast is okay. Eating at KFC nearby is the most cost-effective option; places like Da Shi Dai are just a few minutes' walk away. I ate there. The pizza was over 200 kilos, and the crust was completely burnt. I saw other people were also complaining. A bowl of noodles was 170 kilos, a fried rice was 200 kilos, a taco was 120 kilos...

They were very attentive and provided warm service; there's really nothing to say, just go for it. Cleanliness could be improved, the bed and blankets are a little small, but overall it was still very good.

Located in the heart of Selfoss, it offers easy access to both the coast and the inland area. The facilities are relatively new. The rooms are not particularly large. There's parking, but it's limited, so you'll have to park on the street if you run out. Breakfast is similar to other hotels, but the selection isn't extensive. The coffee is good. There's a spa, but it costs 3,000 kroner per person...

This hotel has a very stylish design, and the price is surprisingly reasonable. The bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, and small windows are all very tasteful. The hotel also has free parking, which is very convenient.

Clean modern hotel situated near the entrance to the town. Large room but space mostly in the washroom (if you like big washrooms its great). Breakfast is BIG plus in Iceland, hot cooked American breakfast (bacon, eggs, sauteed mushrooms, bread and toast), lots of juices and milk, three cereals available. Avoid the espresso machine just get the brewed coffee made by the staff. Tea is sachet so dependable...

The rooms were clean and the location was nice, but the rooms were a little dated looking. For the price I wasn’t too impressed with the quality of the rooms, and I thought breakfast was lackluster. Comparable to a low end hotel breakfast in the USA. Though there weren’t any big issues with the hotel, I probably would not stay there or recommend it.

This was my favorite hotel that we stayed in on out Icelnad ring road trip. So good that we started and finished here. The check in was great. The Hotel staff were polite and accommodating. Very nice guest house. Super clean. Quite small for three people. Our recommendation is to add window screens to limit flies.

Cottage was clean and well stocked. Bathroom had strong odor of sulpher possibly. Check in was great even late at night.

I went here on a school trip an it’s a classic youth hostel. Rooms of 4 and the beds are nice but I have seen better. The shower does smell a bit like H2s which smells like rotten eggs but it’s unnoticeable. The food is amazing but you don’t really see the staff at all if unless you’re a teacher discussing what’s to eat. But the meals are very very nice and they allow you to make your own lunches at...

The cheapest and the coziest choice of all 4 hotels/hostels/guesthouses we have visited. Good choice to spend a night after the Golden Circle before heading to Vik.

Room was nice, the location was good, qe had a quick stay and it was raining so we didnt get to try hot tubs.

Convenient location for our travels, we spent the night at the campground portion. Showers were nice and the kitchen area was nice. However, the washing machine was broke and took a long time to wash our load of laundry.

I liked the guesthouse, and the fact that it was centrally located for many of the things I wanted to see.

Nice campground right in town. Heated kitchen area with plenty of tables and a couple of hot plates and sinks. Three showers in an open area with shower curtains. Everything was clean.

The bedroom size is just perfect. The compact kitchen is super helpfull to do a good meal (you can find everything you need there: cutlery, pan, salt, oil, etc). The bedroom has heater inside the toialet and nearby the bed, and it worked normally.

It has all I need, private bathroom, kitchen. There’s grocery stores nearby. And stuff is very nice and helpful!

Rooms are very clean and spacious and the staff is exceptionally friendly. There's free tea and coffee (even without booking breakfast) and a very nice shared kitchen and a comfy dining space. A hot tub is also available and an outside winter garden with seat space is provided as well. Shared bathrooms are separate from shared toilets.

I have never felt so well cared for! I really felt like I found an ally in Iceland to give me advice. The washer here was broken so our hostess took our laundry home and brought it back fresh and folded. We enjoyed our stay so much. Great accommodations and a great hostess!

Nice place to stay and they have hot tub from 6.30pm until 11pm.. Staying in room 201 everything was great except the toilet air filter is a bit noisy and its auto stop.. So basically every time the lights is on, it make very noisy sound.. ? Overall, staff is very friendly and kitchen is very clean.. ??

One of the best valued guest houses we have stayed in our 8 days trip in Iceland, with great clean rooms and shared kitchen (free coffees) and bathroom facilities. Great if you are tight in budget and want to cook your own meals. Theres plenty of free parking around. Manager is very friendly and helpful too, so for the money, I serously have no complains at all.

Lovely guesthouse run by a lovely family. Host was kind and offered a room change for us even without asking due to a glitch in the alarm system in our room. Kitchen was well equipped with oil, salt, pots, pans, etc. Toilet was clean with good pressure. Best place I've stayed in iceland at a good price.

Loved this place. Easy to locate and get to your room, cute dining room area set up for breakfast. We were able to see the Northern Lights too so overall it was a great stay.

Just outside of Selfoss, good location to get to lots of sites, included breakfast was great, helpful people that run it gave me lots of advice on my roadtrip that saved me some headaches.

Property was very clean and quiet. Room had a view of the exterior fields and bed was extremely comfortable. The included breakfast had so many options, including a waffle iron and homemade jams and cheese. Friendly guesthouse hosts as well.

Amazing location, the HotTub and the Sauna are a gamechanger after days in the Highlands. The Hosts are super freindly and I would book this at any time again

We stsyed here for one night, this is a house in selfoss, where owners live in the same house with guests, the bathroom is not private and you share your dining, living area and the kitchen with the owners, our room was attached to the kitchen wall so we could hear them cooking and talking in the kitchen.

A very cozy house, with all the facilities you need. Hot water, nice shower, washing machine and dryer( extra cost), and a big kitchen with modern cookers, the room was comfortable too. You also get to meet travelers from all over the world. The owners are very friendly and generous. Love our staying here!

What an excellent place to stay — warm, spacious, cosy, clean, and well equipped! We enjoyed the guesthouse very much. The elderly lady who welcomed us was extremely kind and courteous. The room was spotless, the guesthouse cozy, and the experience awesome. Only thing I’d change, there was a bright florescent light right outside our window, was like sleeping on the sun (in November), even with the blinds closed. Also it was SUPER hot. Had to open the window to make it sleepable.

Gave us a bigger room which was spacious enough to have open 2 big luggages and 2 small luggages at the same time. The stay at South Central Guesthouse was comfortable.

Clean rooms, frendly host. Bathroom was alittle busy in the mornings, and needed a good cleaning. Also kitchen is semi off limits in the morning, so plan accordingly. Parking is somewhat plentiful.

Rooms and guesthouse are super clean, easy access to golden circle. We arrived late and didn't realise the kitchen was off limits outside of breakfast times but the host did let us use the microwave as we hadn't had dinner. His comments about it being tiring to wait up for guests to arrive and to leave unused towels folded and put in a particular place did leave us getting like were stepping on eggshells...

Loved this hotel. Travelled as a family of five at the beginning of December and we were delighted. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The food was absolutely exceptional. We were lucky enough to have plenty of snow, to experience frozen waterfalls, underground caves, vik and the black sand beach with snow all over it, and to see the northern lights. We had 4 days in Iceland and decided we would stay outside of Reykjavik. And thank goodness we did as we booked at this wonderful boutique hotel, which ticked all my boxes. Few rooms, homely, clean, charming, great design (with surprisingly wonderful nods to Phillippe Starck), delicious food, indoor/outdoor geo thermal pools and genuine ownership heartfelt integrity.
