"My experience at this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. When we arrived, we found that the air conditioner in the room was broken, and despite informing the staff several times, nothing was repaired and no alternative solution was offered. This made the stay very uncomfortable, especially considering the heat. I also noticed a lack of honesty between what was advertised and what we actually found on site, as well as unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from some of the staff. This hotel has potential, but it really needs improvement in service quality and transparency. Unfortunately, I do not recommend staying here."

Loved this hotel. Travelled as a family of five at the beginning of December and we were delighted. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The food was absolutely exceptional. We were lucky enough to have plenty of snow, to experience frozen waterfalls, underground caves, vik and the black sand beach with snow all over it, and to see the northern lights. What an amazing trip!

We stayed for three nights and left not thinking it was nearly enough. It was, without hesitation, the best hotel experience of my life. The hotel is small, only about 14 rooms. And the rooms are luxurious. You become acquainted with the others guests and those interactions are a lot of fun.

Dinner is amazing with some of the best seafood and Lamb I have ever had. The morning fare is equally good with a large variety of cereals, eggs and intriguingly, some of the Icelandic breakfast foods.

The hosts, Olaf and Anna are wonderful and a lot of fun to sit and chat with. All of the staff were outgoing and friendly.

The other aspect is the hotel is very close to the "Golden Circle"; a drive which has some of the most breathtaking natural wonders. It will take you a full day to see all of the National Parks and other amazing natural beauties.

If you are going to Iceland, this is a must stay hotel!

We had a really lovely and special stay here. The owners make it feel quite familiar here and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The views are absolutely beautiful and the windows are squeaky clean so you can enjoy it. The food that is prepared here is spectacular! I didn’t expect that.
The best thing about this hotel are of course the dogs. They are just so sweet. Tina, the black one, greeted us on arrival and stayed in our room sometimes. She made sure we were safe from birds and cars.
The natural bath was nice too. I liked the indoor one because it was the warmest of them all. About 41 degrees.

it was very cozy, the owners were very nice and helpful with us, the breakfast had variety, the spa was superb( we were so lucky that we got to see the northern lights meanwhile we were chilling in the thermal bath they had outdoors. It is not in Reykjavik but the location is in the middle of the main attractions like the golden circle, the ice caves, the black beach. These were still 1 hour plus drive but it was better than staying in the capital if you wanna check all the sights. 15 minutes from the hotel you can find the city of Selfoss which offers shops and bars.

The best place we staying in Iceland! The hotel is small and cozy. The design of the interior is sensational. Most of the art is original art by the owner's father. The views are incredible. You sit on a hill and can see forever. The rooms are awesome with great beds and bathrooms. We had dinner both nights and each was outstanding. Breakfast was also fantastic. The facilities were great and you can not forget about their super friendly dogs. You will not be disappointed staying here. We will be back for the Northern Lights.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars - this is one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed at! The entire place was gorgeous and comfortable. The room was wonderful, with an incredible view. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the food was incredibly good. Sitting in the heated pool outdoors looking at the stars was one of my favorite parts. And I loved spending time with their two friendly Icelandic Sheepdogs. Two nights was not enough, I definitely want to go back again. Just fantastic!

We had 4 days in Iceland and decided we would stay outside of Reykjavik. And thank goodness we did as we booked at this wonderful boutique hotel, which ticked all my boxes. Few rooms, homely, clean, charming, great design (with surprisingly wonderful nods to Phillippe Starck), delicious food, indoor/outdoor geo thermal pools and genuine ownership heartfelt integrity.

Very cozy, quaint hotel with exquisite service, a fantastic fixed price dinner, and hot tub / pool / sauna. Highly recommend staying here if you’re touring the Ring Road in Iceland.
