Guesthouse Nordheimar in Selfoss

Johann is a perfect host - accommodating, helpful on travel tips - his place is absolutely gorgeous! Will add more pics later. HIGHLY Recommend in you are anywhere near Selfoss.

Our stay at this place was absolutely perfect and by far the best accommodation in the area! Johann the host made us feel like home from the first second on. The house is huge and built 10 years ago, so it's still very new and modern. The Jacuzzi is a must do highlight and he also owns some horses. 🙏

He helped us with his local experience to find the best route for our ongoing trip and gave us so many useful tips.

The breakfast is decent! Different types of bread, fruits, veggies, cereals and ofc coffee as you like it and lots of tea.

Unfortunately we just stayed for one night. We felt so welcomed...so if I ever come back to Iceland in sure I'll stop by again.

Arrived at 130am and the host was as friendly as could be and didn't mind the late arrival. Showed us into this beautiful, wonderfully furnished house, and slept very well. Awoke to a great breakfast, made specially for us since we were the only guests that night, and had a nice conversation with him while we ate. The facilities were extremely clean, well equipped, and pretty. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our experience here and will be coming back here when we get back to Iceland.

We stayed for one night at the very end of our trip and this was a perfect place to wind down and relax. Johan was so friendly and attentive when we arrived and made us feel very at home right away. The room was very comfortable with a nice bed and big screen tv and we had a really good travel crib setup for our baby too. We were able to make use of the jacuzzi on the deck that evening which was just what we needed after a long travel day. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic with a great selection of food and really great coffee. We even had a fun high chair for our son to use which converted to a play car when he was done eating. A great experience all round and a fantastic place to base yourself for a golden circle trip or to visit Reykjavik. Also they have lovely show cats too!
