We spent 15 nights traveling the Ring Road in early September, and this hotel left a lasting, positive impression. The location is excellent, perfectly positioned for exploring the Golden Circle.
What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional hospitality. The owner and manager made us feel completely at home. We were planning a difficult trip to Landmannalaugar, so I asked the manager for advice. The next morning at breakfast, the manager showed me he had planned a route that identified all key spots conveniently on the way, with short diversions that suited our ability. This thoughtful gesture gave us immense confidence for our highland trip.
Interestingly, the building itself is unique—it survived an earthquake and was once a women's prison! After long hikes, we appreciated the excellent water pressure for a hot shower, and the nutritious breakfast was wonderfully fulfilling. We were very glad we chose to stay for three nights. Highly recommend!

Cute B&B just off the main road, really cute little place. We had a 4 bed room and it was perfect. Very clean, great shared bathroom setup and options, and a living area with coffee and tea that let us warm up at night really comfortably. Nice continental type breakfast, higher quality than most.
