Hotel Hjardarbol

Lovely, friendly place to stay. Warm, comfortable rooms and well cooked food. Super friendly cute dogs that greet you on arrival. The hot tubs are also fabulous. Also a great place to see the Northern lights.

The place is really good and the people are especially nice. They accepted to store two bikes we had for a whole week without paying anything.
So again thanks for them and don’t hesitate to come here!

Clean, comfortable, lovely location. People are very helpful. Only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because this is not a snobby deluxe hotel but a well set out hikers hotel. Breakfast is available - prepaid or ad-hoc and they have plates/ cutlery/ tea & coffee available if you bring back a takeaway. Sits between 2 reasonable sized towns with good facilities. Hot tubs is a lovely touch and dogs very friendly. Many people seem to opt for only 1 or 2 night stay. We found it a perfect base for more extensive exploration of south coast and golden cicrle (2 weeks) without the stress of constant early rising and long drives ebery day to complete ring road.

Stayed here in a 2-bed room. Had an overall positive experience.
Pros:
Friendly staff (who had a few friendly dogs), good quality beds, hot tub was super nice, optional paid breakfast, kitchenette available for light cooking.

Cons: the location was a bit difficult to access in winter.

Really nice place and really cheap! We used the hot tubs at the place which were wonderful and the staff is really sweet! We highly recommend this Hjardarbol Guesthouse! ?

Definitely would stay here again. All the rooms are being rebuilt and it looks spectacular. Still under construction. Great service and love the Doha and cats running around. The hot tub was wonderful.
