Excellent amenities and food. Stayed here for one night before a glacier tour. It’s the closest hotel to the meeting point for the tours. The rooms are spacious, beds comfy, the food at the restaurant was INCREDIBLE! Especially the beef tenderloin. The whole staff was great too. Would recommend staying here to anyone.

The best hotel near to the Glacier. The sauna and hot tub are amazing. The receptionist is very welcoming. Coffee ans tea are so delicious. Would come back.

Love the stay and facilities. Especially the hot tub area.

I don't write many negative reviews but I was so shocked by the disparity of the ratings with our experience that I thought I would weigh in. For the price, and given the reviews, we expected a high-end hotel. But everything about this hotel felt cheesy and cheap. The staff was very nice - and the sauna was also legit . But from the fake perfume in the bar and spa areas, to the chlorinated hot tubs (not geothermal), to the overpowering cleaning scent drenching the hallways, to the absolutely horrendous UX in the bedroom and bathroom (I'll spare the details but everything was super annoying and just weird vibes), everything felt designed for volume. We felt very separated from Iceland in this strangely sterile place and couldn't wait to leave. If you don't care much about design or feng shui you'll be fine here I suppose. But if you have sensitive tastes, absolutely avoid.

The hotel's location is excellent. It has hot springs, a sauna, and even an aurora wake-up service, which is a really nice touch.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning surrounding. We stayed for 2 nights. Nicely decorated. Breakfast and dinner were good. However they charge fine dining prices which is too much and did not feel right. As there are no dining options nearby there isn’t really a choice.

This was by far our favorite (and most expensive) hotel we stayed at on our Iceland road trip. We only stayed here for 1 night but took full advantage of the outdoor hot tubs and the sauna. They provided a surplus of clean towels and a very nice area to dry off indoors. The rooms had huge windows facing the ocean for a great sunrise view. We ate at the restaurant here at 6pm and were amazed by the food. I had the arctic char that came with salad and lobster foam. The breakfast buffet was also amazing my favorite being the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Beautiful location where you can signup for the aurora wake up call. You can see them from the hotel but we preferred to drive out a bit for a more expansive view. Didn’t regret it one bit! The beds here were super soft and comfortable. Shower was squeaky clean and warm. We enjoyed our one night stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing Iceland vacation place to stay. It was one of the only hotels available in this small town so you may have no other option. It is very pricey but the amenities were a nice change of pace for us on our fast paced road trip.

Everything is great with the place. Wished we had more time to enjoy the environment. Felt like a luxury place to stay in. There was a kitchen with all the required utensils to cook and we made fried salmon. Kitchen utensils are new and very clean. Extra trash bag provided with salt, pepper and even cooking oil.

Highly recommend this place if you can afford it.
