Reviews
Pros:
- Clean, minimal room
- Breakfast (served at Hótel Ísafjörður) was very good
Cons:
- No cooling system, so in summer you need the window open, which makes the street noise (often past 2am) very loud.
- Blackout shades don’t block much light, and with a streetlight outside the window, our room stayed bright.
- No reception on-site; check-in and assistance are handled at Hótel Ísafjörður around the corner
Overall:
We would recommend staying at Hótel Ísafjörður instead.
Clean hotel with nice facilities.
Reasonable breakfast provided.
The elevator is “interesting”. It’s small, slow, loud, industrial, but does the job.
As others have stated, you must check in at the main hotel down the street, and also go there for breakfast. That knocked it down from 5 stars to 4.
