A hotel located in remote Hólmavík with a view of the water. At first sight, it seemed a bit like a dilapidated building past its prime. Parking is right in front of the hotel. However, this initial impression was made up for by the room (I received an upgrade with a harbor view) and the helpfulness of the staff. Staff was very kind and helpful. Easy to walk to local places to eat for lunch and dinner.

Nice views from room and lobby. Breakfast included very nice. Happy hour in lobby BOGO. Enjoyed visiting with other guests. Room small. No shampoo. No mirror on a wall. Only small mirror on a shelf behind the toilet.

The hotel is cozy and suitable for low-budget travelers. The owner was very nice and she even offered bacon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. In general the breakfast was very yummy. The coffee is great because there is a Delonghi machine 😀

The Finna Hotel was a lovely place. Highly reccommend getting the breakfast there, it was fantastic!

Some confusion with there being three hotels in the hotel chain nearby and having to check in at one location but stay at another.

The hotel room we had was quite small. We had a queen and twin bunk beds. Not much extra space to move around. What helped a lot was the shared living area on our floor for units to share. There was a table and chairs that we used to eat dinner and play games. The included breakfast was excellent! It is in the main hotel but it is so close by.

A nice hotel conveniently located near restaurants, groceries, and the harbor. Wonderfully friendly staff. Large rooms with private baths. I didn't pay for the breakfast because it was ridiculously expensive for what is offered, so don't know if it is good. Overall, a nice hotel in a lovely town.

The hotel is simple yet elegant. Nordic hotels often appear simple, but once you enter, you're completely comfortable. Compared to hotels in Asia, the rooms seem quite spacious, but considering this is a remote fishing village in the Westfjords, having such a modern and comfortable hotel is a luxury in itself. Good chain-hotel, clean, and you get what you expect from Fosshotels. The drawback is that the breakfast is OK, but not always quality ingredients, also the dinner was very expensive for a small portion and not even good quality. p.s. In the town is a much better place for dinner.

The hotel is on the beach, with a highway just outside the door and a large parking lot. The environment is detached and integrated into nature. It is located on the edge of the town, and it takes ten minutes to walk to the central restaurant. Please note that the town has two floors.

Very nice but improve breakfast. The only reason for the 4 star rating was that the breakfast could have been better. Only fruit selection was pineapple and bananas. There was no coffee machine and the water for the tea was initially cold.

Gem of a hotel Friendly, welcoming staff. The hotel had a warming atmosphere. Location was tremendous, surrounded by mountains and fjords. Parking available. And the restaurant food was tremendous.

We arrived late but Cindy was there to greet us and give us our key and overview of the property. She was also there at the excellent breakfast and chatted with us about her life in Iceland and gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. We saw whales from the pier and walked along the quiet beach. Overall an excellent stay.

I was very pleased with the hotel. I got a room with a workspace and a view over Patreksfjörður. The staff was wonderful and gave me a warm welcome. The breakfast was good, always with the scent of freshly baked waffles. I stayed here for a few nights and hardly wanted to leave.

The hotel is located a long (but beautiful) drive down a gravel, pothole-ridden road but you truly feel away from it all out here. Super quiet, no crowds (encountered more sheep here than people), and very authentically Iceland. Accommodations are rustic, but still comfortable and had everything we needed. This was one of the best views in a hotel that i have ever had. It is so peaceful and truely reflects tbe icelandic way of life. Excellent service and management. This is a must stay for those seeking an icelandic way of life ecperience. Defenitely worth the drive!

Cute place, but certainly on the older site. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was adequately spaced. This feels more like an inn given that the owners welcome you and are the ones present at dinner and breakfast (with some hired help). Dinner was good. Full of character and history - a real gem.

This is my favorite hotel in Iceland and I have stayed there twice. I went with my sister-in-law and we stayed in the little red house by the stream. We were there 3 nights and had all our meals there. Please try the pan-fried cod. The place is really quiet and you wake up to the sound of running water from the little stream. I plan to come back.

Free coffee and excellent chocolate cake and friendly service in the middle of nowhere after an hour on a loose surface road: bliss. The scenery is breathtaking on the western fjords and somehow, the weather is on our side with frequent strong sunshine

Property was a little old but it was very cozy. I loved the different sections to chill around. For me the isolation of location was the best part. Breakfast was very good and people very amazing! This was my favourite stay during my vacation.

One of the best places I've ever been to in terms of coziness, hospitality, and tranquility. I felt at home the moment I opened the car door. The place tells a story of the owners and their family, and the village and it's herring factory. The surroundings are fantastic. I'll return one day.

A fine place to stay but don’t expect breakfast. Seeing literature about the guest house and reading reviews, and seeing the set up the day of our arrival, we were looking forward to a pleasant breakfast. There was none. Had we known that we would have sorted out getting food upon our arrival. So if you plan on staying here bring all food.

A guesthouse with comfortable and attractive facilities. The room is spacious, although the bathrooms are shared. The outdoor area is perfect for enjoying in good weather; there are even outdoor showers. A full breakfast is provided. Magnificent views of the fjord. The owner is extremely friendly.

Wonderful! A lovely guesthouse with large and modern rooms! The staff made us feel very welcome and we slept well. Everything was super clean and well put together. This was the best guesthouse we stayed at during our trip to the Westfjords!

This guesthouse was a no fuss kind of place. All the basics were well covered; comfortable bed, clean rooms, nice bathrooms, pleasant breakfast. The owner was welcoming and efficient. The restaurant across the street serves excellent food and was cozy on our cool wet evening.

There are basically two hotels in this village. My room (shared bath) was very small with two twin beds: I had to place my suitcase on the other bed. The shower was in a separate room, but I would have preferred having a shower mat ... I wore my flipflops. Super location! Cozy little old barn house right on the beach! Felt so Icelandic there! Very warm and friendly service, extremely clean, old but really clean! When looking something authentic it's the right place to stay! Be prepared to drive awesome mountain roads with beautiful views to the ocean! Probably not the right choice for those who need material luxury but the best choice for those who value...

I heard this cottage’s location is really good (from my friend who travelled Iceland more than ten times). also, google map let me know the right direction. I had to pay extra for the linen cover etc. I already knew about that. so it was not a problem for me. The day we(couple) wanted to stay at, there was no room left except the big room which is for 10 people maybe. I made a reservation anyway...

Not the cheapest in Iceland but if you're looking for remoteness- absolutely worth the effort to get there!! Nice cozy cottage for couples

I sailed from the UK and around Iceland, but damaged mast and pulled in, I was told this was the place to stay. It's awesome, gorgeous views, lovely rooms, super host and as for the breakfast it's like a 4 star hotel , and all at guesthouse prices. You won't get better.

Nice view, very clean and cosy, newly renovated in an modern Scandinavian but still traditional way. The landlady is very kind and helpful and serves a delicious breakfast with homemade ingredients. By far the best choice and best value for money in Patreksfjördur!!
