Trip detail- Gate 1 Travels' 12 Day Golden Triangle of India with Varanasi

This was the hotel our group stayed at while in Agra, and aside from the difficulty of walking around here, it was my favorite. The inside is modern and chic, and, like many of the other hotels I went to, there was a wedding going on during one of the nights we were there. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would also comment on amenities such as the pool, but unfortunately it closed to early for me to check it out outside of a glance.

Regarding the room, the bed was a good mix of soft and hard, and the shower pressure was better than that of other hotels we stayed at. The plentiful large glass bottles of water were appreciated. The service was overall nice as well, and they did the best job of cleaning, along with our last hotel in Varanasi. The room also had a nice view of the Taj Mahal, though this also depended on whether it was muggy.

There are a few restaurants, including an Italian one, but the tour included meals specifically at the buffet. This was the best-quality buffet with the largest selection, outside the Novotel near New Delhi's Airport. Whether it was fish, chicken, mutton, or vegetarian options, all were tasty. My favorite option was an excellent biryani with good spices and plenty of eggs and meat inside. The breakfast was also very nice and served to whet our appetite for the long day ahead of sightseeing and the like.

I would recommend this place if you're staying in Agra.

I recently stayed at Grand Mercure Agra on Fatehabad Road, and the experience was both relaxing and memorable.

The hotel has a contemporary feel, yet there’s an understated elegance throughout the property that makes the stay feel distinctive. It is exceptionally well maintained, spotless, and thoughtfully arranged to provide comfort after a long day of exploring Agra. The rooms were spacious, well-kept, and equipped with carefully selected amenities that added to the overall convenience and ease of the stay.

Breakfast each morning was excellent, offering a well-balanced selection of Indian and international dishes. The food was fresh, attractively presented, and consistently replenished. A special shoutout goes to Rafi, Sahil, Manan, Vikas, Saurabh, Chef Firoz, Chef Aumir, and Shyna for their courteous and attentive service during breakfast, their professionalism and warm demeanor truly stood out. The Room service was also prompt and efficient, further reflecting the team’s commitment to guest comfort.

I am especially grateful for the warm and professional attitude of the staff throughout the hotel. Their hospitality genuinely enhanced the overall experience and made the stay welcoming from arrival to departure. It’s always the people who leave a lasting impression, and this team certainly did.

Wishing the entire Grand Mercure Agra team continued success and encouragement to maintain their excellent standards in the days ahead.

I stayed at Grand Mercure Agra for 4 wonderful nights from January 27 to 31, and having visited many 5-star hotels across India, this one truly stood out for its exceptional hospitality, personalized service, and thoughtful touches.

The staff were outstanding from check-in onward—warm, professional, and always attentive to every detail. The dining team, in particular, was remarkable during breakfast and dinner; they took the time to note and remember individual guest preferences (like my specific tea requirements and other choices), making each meal feel truly customized and enjoyable.

A special shoutout to the **chef**—the food was consistently outstanding, creative, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The quality of ingredients, balance of dishes, and execution showed real passion and skill, elevating the dining experience far above many luxury hotels I've stayed at. The chef's talent was a true highlight!

What made our stay even more memorable was how the team arranged a beautiful cake for my daughter's birthday. It was such a sweet that turned an ordinary evening into a special family celebration. Their genuine care and thoughtfulness made us feel truly valued.

The hotel was comfortable, clean, and peaceful for most of our visit—all other nights were blissfully quiet, allowing us to relax fully after our days exploring Agra.

The only minor drawback was one night when persistent noises from the roof (possibly maintenance or weather-related) made it difficult to sleep. It was an isolated incident and didn't detract from the overall excellence of our experience.

I highly recommend Grand Mercure Agra to anyone seeking top-tier service, delicious food, and heartfelt gestures—especially for families or special occasions. The exceptional staff and chef made our stay unforgettable, and we'll definitely return!!

We stayed there in January, and overall our experience was good. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The food was delicious, whether ordered through in-room dining or enjoyed at the restaurant—the taste and quality were consistently excellent. The bakery items were also fresh and delightful.

However, the management needs to pay more attention to the property’s upkeep. The suite was in poor condition, and although the drainage was clear, the water was not flowing properly in the shower area. Additionally, the blinds meant for the bathroom were installed inside the room, which defeats their purpose and was quite surprising.

We hope these issues will be addressed to improve the overall guest experience.

The hotel is very good overall, with truly exceptional service. The staff is attentive, professional, and always willing to help.

The facilities are very modern, and the location is excellent — close to the Taj Mahal. From the terrace, you can enjoy incredible views of it, which makes the stay even more special.

Both breakfast and dinner were very complete and exceeded our expectations.

The only area that could use some improvement is the gym, which would benefit from a refresh.

Overall, a great stay that we would definitely recommend.

This hotel stay was undoubtedly one of the most disappointing experiences of my life. From the moment I stepped into the room, it was evident that the maintenance was severely lacking. The shower in the washroom was non-functional, and even worse, the flush was also not working. On top of that, the basin was clogged, adding to the inconvenience. The air conditioning unit in the room was also faulty, making the overall environment uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, I encountered multiple disturbances during the night with random phone calls, and the front desk failed to provide any satisfactory response or assistance. I can only assume that they have a record of such complaints, which speaks volumes about their service quality.

Although a technician was sent to our room to address the issues, they spent an extended period of time attempting to fix the problems without offering an alternative room. This lack of concern for our comfort added to the overall dissatisfaction of the experience.

In summary, my stay at this hotel can only be described as a truly horrendous and unforgettable ordeal. The multitude of problems with the facilities, combined with the lack of response and appropriate action from the staff, left me deeply disappointed.

Went for a conference followed bt dinner. they are renovating the front so its cluttered up there. the management seemed to be overly 'official' and there were some altercations with regards to time of ending the conference and dinner. guess all the staff wanted to do was leave and go home. food was okay - nothing great, though the spread was good. in all, a below average evening. wont be revisiting.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at Crystal Sarovar Premiere Agra, and I must say, it was a complete disaster from start to finish. I can't believe how terrible my experience was, and I feel obligated to share it with others so they don't make the same mistake I did.
The check-in process was a nightmare; the receptionist seemed disinterested and barely acknowledged my presence. It took an eternity to get my room key, and I was already regretting my decision to stay there. They charged me 1770/- exta upon my booking amount 6327/- stating hotel policy.
Upon entering my room, I was horrified by the condition it was in. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days, and there were suspicious stains on the furniture. The bathroom was even worse – dirty tiles, and a toilet that clearly hadn't been properly sanitized. I immediately felt uncomfortable and disgusted.
As if the physical state of the room wasn't bad enough, the noise level was unbearable. I was given twin beds after multiple request for a big king size beds saying they will merge. After multiple attempts to call the front desk, they staff didn’t came to merge the beds. When I was out of the hotel mand came back after 3 hours I saw the beds were merged !! HOW CAN ANYONE ENTER THE ROOM PREMISES WITHOUT ANYONES PERMISSSION ? When I asked the receptionist why this happened she had no answers not even an apology.
The next morning, I dared to venture into the hotel's dining area for breakfast. It was a sad excuse for a meal – cold eggs and watery coffee that tasted like it had been sitting for hours. Some of the staff in the dining area were just as uninterested as the receptionist, providing no assistance or even a hint of hospitality.
To top it all off, when I checked out and expressed my dissatisfaction, the staff barely acknowledged my complaints and offered no apology or compensation for the horrendous experience I endured. It's clear that this hotel has no regard for the comfort or satisfaction of its guests.
In conclusion, I strongly urge anyone considering a stay at Crystal Sarovar Premiere Agra to think twice (X100 times). This place is a complete waste of money. There are far better options available in the area that actually value their guests and provide a clean, comfortable environment. Save yourself the stress and frustration – avoid this hotel at all costs!

The outside of the hotel was not pretty. Then they kept us at the counter for a pre-booked reservation and did not have our rooms ready. When we got to the rooms, one of them did not have a working AC. The other had dirty floors. After attempting to call the front desk multiple times, then they finally came to check the AC. They “fixed it” and it was still not working and we called them again and finally received a new room. TV was not working. The worst part was probably the phone because none of the buttons work and when you call you cannot hear properly. Maybe in a few years this hotel will be better because it is all under renovation but as of now I would not recommend booking with this hotel.

They are having all amenities specially roof top bar and lounge. Service of staff is good. Ambience of hotel is excellent. Nearby lot of shopping options available
