The second time we had stayed here and it was exceptional. A stunning looking hotel in a lovely quiet setting. The rooms are lovely with a very comfortable bed. It was our first time in Courmayeur, in December/ January 2026. Hotel Berthod is centrally located and service is top class. Hosts are very courteous and breakfast is very good offering many options. Hotel Berthod is in the perfect location, has spacious and beautiful rooms and food that is terrific. The very friendly staff went above the call of duty for us. We asked for a lunch to go with giving them very little notice (way past the requested time). And they cheerfully gave us an amazing meal!

The breakfast was really good, and to the same standard as other hotels I’ve stayed at in Italy. They had good variation of mostly sweet but also savoury options, and made coffee or prepared eggs on request. No complaints about the breakfast. The room was a bit tired but did the job, only complaint was the shower was a bit hard to use, but once you figured it out it was fine. The room was clean.

My wife and I visited the Gran Baita Hotel after a long train, and multi-bus trip from Switzerland to Courmayuer and were very tired after the journey. Your staff, and in particular, Pietro the Head Barman made us feel welcome and was able to provide refreshments and lunch. He really made us feel at home, especially since we were not guests, but just travelers that needed a place to rest

We had a great room with a view of the town and mountains and ski area. The staff were all exceptionally available, extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful. They were the very best, and caring staff I have ever encountered.

We stayed here with in a large group of friends, rent thing eight rooms. The location in perfect, the staff is accommodating and very helpful, and the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The only thing, if I have to find one, the rooms are a bit small. But for the price, I def cannot complain! ;)

The hotel is on a very noisy road. Rooms have no AC (expected) and no ventilation, which means you have to open your windows to get any oxygen into the room. But when you open the window, you hear all traffic from the busy street.

A wonderful spring stay at Shatush Mont Blanc. Breathtaking view of Mont Blanc right from the room, cozy accommodations, attentive staff, and excellent cuisine. Lovely venue. We booked here for a 4 day trip. It is a fantastic family-run hotel. Francesca is a genuinely lovely host and was very help and welcoming throughout our stay. We had a meal here on the first night and it was very hearty and typical of the region. Good breakfast too. 15 min walk into the main town. Would recommend to anybody visiting Courmayeur

In English, translates to The Squirrel. One of our favorite hotels on the TMB circuit. Room was comfortable. Service was especially good. Georgia (sp?) at the front desk was inviting and pleasant - giving us suggestions and making us dinner reservations. John Pierre (sp?) in the restaurant was exceptional. He has the smile and joy of Roberto Benigni. His work ethic was incredible to watch -...

Beautiful property and setting.

Comfortable room with breathtaking views of the mountains from our balcony.  The staff were friendly and the room was clean.  The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

We had a lovely ski holiday, staying here. The staff were lovely, the breakfast is fantastic. The room (46) was good the only thing I would have liked is a kettle for making tea but this might not be common it Italy....
