Pilier d'Angle in Courmayeur

It was our first time in Courmayeur, and we chose this hotel in the charming hamlet of Entrèves — a decision we’re so happy we made. The area is full of beautiful old stone houses, and the hotel itself feels like the realization of a dream by someone who truly fell in love with the view of Mont Blanc.

It’s a wonderful continuation of a family legacy, run with genuine care and attention to detail. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcomed and completely at ease. We stayed in Family Chalet E, which was exceptionally comfortable, spotless, and blessed with the most breathtaking views.

We absolutely hope to return.

I recently stayed for a week at Pilier D’Angle in Entreves. A quaint hotel with a welcoming cozy atmosphere and lots of charm. The booking and check-in process was quick and easy. The room was comfortable and warm, although the bathroom was quite small. The food service was very good and we enjoyed some incredible meals at the restaurant. The bar area was well stocked and attended. The staff are warm and genuine – especially Laura who was very helpful and charming. She put in extra effort to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Overall the hotel is great value for money. Only slight negative was the limited transport options to and from the main town centre of Courmayeur. But the remoteness of the hotel and it’s location in the picturesque village of Entreves, is what adds to it’s beauty. I highly recommend.

Fantastic autentic Aosta hotel! We have just spent a week over Christmas at Pilier D’Angle as a scandinavian family of 8, and we had a wonderfull stay. Lovely hotel, very cosy and clean and with excellent food and service. We do not understand the 3 star rating which ought to be at least 4! But we do understand the Guide Michelin recommandation! Host Danilo is very helpfull and always we felt at home. We will definately be back😊!

We could not have been more delighted with our stay at this hotel. It simply isn’t a 3 star hotel - totally deserving of higher! It’s clean and full of charm. Run by a lovely family who go the extra mile and they work so hard. The staff are brilliant and so friendly. The food is great - in particular the half board set menu was super value and totally yummy (my wife and I are real foodies!!). The room has everything you need - comfy bed, warm and loads of hot water for the shower when you come off the slopes. Walking distance to the main gondola up the mountain and you can store skis/boots at the ski hire shop (who give you a discount for staying at this hotel) that is right next door to the gondola. Highly recommend, we will be back!

The spa zone is great! 35 euros for unlimited time. It works till 8 pm. They have 2 jacuzzis - one on the ground floor one outside, and two saunas. The sauna outside is cute and hot, perfect for me. Mountains view stole my heart

Lovely friendly hotel in a perfect position for the ski lift at Val Veny. 5 minute walk down to a hire shop that gives a 10% discount for hotel residents, has ski lockers where you can leave your skis and boots and walk back to the hotel in your own shoes. Hotel itself has a fine continental breakfast, lovely spacious rooms [if a little warm], comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. There's also a move balcony that looks over this quaint village. I think the staff are lovely, very few speak English, which I personally think is great - you always find a way to communicate - there's also a lovely restaurant downstairs - the staff there are excellent too...

If the hot tub was offered at night when you can actually look at the stars and enjoy it would have been nice

Had a fantastic stay here. We stayed in the Chalet part of the hotel. Room & bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was good. Dinner was interesting! Some nights good, some nights not so good. Had a nice massage in the spa. Lovely warm atmosphere in the hotel. 10 min walk down to Gondola and ski shop. Short walk to bus stop to take you into Courmayeur centre. Overall a lovely hotel.

Delightful service and a warm welcome at this family-run hotel. Everyone went out of their way to help us with lifts in the van and answers to all our questions. The food was lovely and the dining room team friendly and helpful. The rooms (we had the smallest) were simple, clean and comfortable and plentiful hot water. Really easy base for Courmayeur. Thank you!
