Ciccio Family Hotel in Misano Adriatico

I am leaving the below review for other non-Italian visitors to get a better understanding of the hotel itself, the hotel activities and Misano Adriatico area. We enjoyed our stay but there are some unexpected issues that foreigners need to be aware of. They do not necessarily reflect the hotel itself!

Also, the following may make a difference:
- our holiday was from the 1st to the 6th of September 2024
- our room was in the main building, first floor, next to the rear staircase
- we did NOT have an all-inclusive package

Prior to arrival - if you are coming by car. IMPORTANT!!!
There is NO hotel parking. Private paid parking available across the street. Call the phone number and go there BEFORE you park to avoid extra charges.

PROS:
- free water and soft drinks in the hotel. free coffee, beer and wine if you have ALL Inclusive or book yourself for lunch/dinner
- reception staff speaks English and they are absolutely amazing.
- Entertainment team is always around performing activities and they have a plan B even for rainy days.
- Some entertainment performances do not require Italian and are decent.
- Rooms have decent-size beds, very comfortable, and plenty of storage spaces
- toilet and shower are decent
- the hotel provides you with plenty of towels, toilet paper, soap and shower gel
- smoking allowed on balcony
- balcony has a rack to dry your bathing suits, etc., a chair and a table
- housekeeping will clean your room and change towels DAILY (unless told otherwise).
- the beach is 3-400m away, 4-5 minutes walk and it's perfect for children (low-level water on fairly long distance)
- without All-Inclusive you can still eat in the hotel restaurant, just remember to book yourself 1 day before. 5 euros for breakfast, 25 euros for lunch and dinner, per adult.
- Misano Adriatico in its own is very quiet and family oriented. Food-wise, I personally recommend Orfeo (amazing food and decent prices. Good staff as well!), but there are loads of seafood-based beach-side restaurants. Book in time!
- you have a long coast/beach-line to walk on
- bike and motorbike renting services
- access to bus - 3 euros round trip to nearby towns.
- If you're looking for a more busy place, go to Catolica town center.

CONS:
- entertainment activities are mostly in Italian (understandable when 90-95% of the clients are Italian)
- only the head of entertainment speaks English, but he will walk you through what and when things happen
- Room AC is set automatically. Speak to reception about it.
- Rooms do not have fridges or kettles (very inconvenient if you need to make milk formula for your kids - you'll need to go to the ground floor bar)
- might be a bit messy at some times - understandable, when dozens of people come to eat at the same time.
- our room location was close to the rear staircase, 1st floor - main building - very loud and noisy, especially during lunch time when we were trying to put our baby to sleep. also the balcony was on top of the kitchen, couldn't keep balcony door or bathroom window open.
- the beaches are private. you will need to pay 15 euros per day for a sunbed. discount applies for whole period.

Great hotel to go to with kids, lovely personnel. Happy kids, happy parents. We can recommend this hotel for every family with small kids.
