Reviews
Food & dining experience:
Restaurant dishes were mainly great but when we asked to change the table the waiter screamed at us and then said maybe another day- it was forgotten about. Other guests changed tables without any issues!
The tables are squashed together and they sit people one on top of another leaving other areas empty. It was uncomfortable and unpleasant sitting so close to a bunch of strangers. The waiters were mostly professional and friendly though sometimes favoured some guests whilst ignoring the others.
Breakfast was mostly disappointing - little fruit choice, almost no fresh pastry. Noone told us we could order things until we see other people doing so. You have to ask for everything yourself. Before we finished breakfast, they were moving all the tables and chairs for lunch - extremely noisy and uncomfortable. Guests were allowed to smoke around others eating at the very few outside tables- extremely unpleasant!!
There's no ventilation anywhere- lifts, corridors, the restaurant - you have no air to breathe!
SPA services:
Facilities were good but no information about water composition and how long to stay in the water, no one to ask...
Some people attending spa were extremely badly behaved , making too much noise in areas the were supposed to be quiet...noone bothered to enforce the rules! Some were drinking from glasses by the pool or even smoking in the pool... Management didn't stop them, walked by and said nothing!
As for the treatments, DON'T book facial or a so called lympho drainage massage - both are just gentle touching. The actual massage offered in lieu for a wasted time and money lympho drainage was only half the time good, again wouldn't recommend spending money on it but thank you for at least partially compensating me.
Rooms:
The balconies had a partially beautiful view but also there was a massive carpark underneath, meaning my sleep was continuously disturbed by 5 am deliveries and people arriving/leaving. The balcony itself was disappointing ( at least there is one!) - very poor furniture, no decor or flowers, nowhere to dry your clothes!
Sleep quality was poor because of poor quality mattress & pillow ( I had superior room) , constant noise from neighbours - no noise cancellation, very old furniture and doors also making awful noise.
Some staff at reception were unfriendly, even a little arrogant - others were lovely though.
Entertainment:
Also, I enjoyed the live music concert in the hotel, a nice touch. The piano dinner was ruined by a loud conference crowd - noone asked them to be quieter for the sake of other guests. Poor management!
Bikes for rent were great and appreciated! Lovely cycling paths around.

Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Train station is an 8min walk and to Venice is a 45min ride for €6.
