Location: 300 m from the centre of Pozza di Fassa, the ski bus stop is 30 metres away, the Buffaure ski lift 1 km, 45 km from Bolzano airport.

Consists of 3-storey building.

There are 21 rooms.

I have stayed in 100+ hotels throughout my life and have been skiing for over 20 years.
Last week, I stayed at Garni Lestei, located in the Val di Fassa region in Italy.

The hotel itself is fairly new and visually pleasant, and the rooms are at an acceptable standard. Housekeeping was reasonable, with daily cleaning and towel replacement every two days. There were no noise issues during the stay.

However, the overall experience was very disappointing, mainly due to the poor service and lack of basic hospitality.
The breakfast selection was extremely limited, to the point that we genuinely had nothing suitable to eat. When we politely asked the staff if it would be possible to prepare something simple, such as omelets or another basic option, the request was flatly refused. The staff showed no willingness to listen or help, and their attitude came across as dismissive and disrespectful.

The hotel has a small game room with a ping-pong table, but there is no swimming pool. In addition, access to the ski room is inconvenient: instead of a direct and practical entrance, guests are required to walk outside and around the building in the cold, both in the morning and at the end of the ski day. After a full day of skiing, this is uncomfortable and unnecessary.

In terms of value for money, the price is standard for the area, but the experience does not justify the cost.
I would not return to this hotel, and I would not recommend it to others. The level of service and overall hospitality is well below what should be expected

Do not recommend at all!

This hotel is average at best and absolutely not worth the money. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you get the feeling that you are not welcome.

As a tourist, when you need guidance or help, there is no real willingness to assist. And even when help is provided, it feels forced and not done with genuine care or kindness.

The breakfast looks rich at first glance, but in reality it’s disappointing. All the cakes were dry, and the only egg option available was a hard-boiled egg - no omelet, no scrambled eggs, nothing else.

The rooms are not warm enough and do not look like the pictures at all. We came as part of a ski trip because the hotel claims to be suitable for ski vacations, but the facilities are completely inadequate. The ski room isn’t even in the same building! Honestly, it’s a joke.

There is a game room, but you’re not allowed to make noise there. What does that even mean? Play quietly? Tell children not to make noise?

Don’t go. Don’t ruin your vacation and don’t waste your money on this place.

I have been skiing in European ski resorts for several years and staying in hotels and apartments and I have never encountered more disgraceful hospitality than this hotel. Except for the location close to the ski bus, all other parameters were beyond criticism. The body language of the hotel owners and all service providers conveys aloofness, a lack of willingness to help, bordering on disgust!! The rooms are small and heated at set times!! Equipment room. The skis are frozen and there is no heating for equipment!! The access from the ski room to the hotel is external and requires walking in the cold of minus 7 degrees and snow to get to the lobby, at breakfast they make a face at any legitimate request. The recreation room containing several games facilities closes early, the bar is only theoretically open… When we asked for help and guidance on issues not directly related to the hotel, we were met with complete aloofness and cancellation. The entire experience at the hotel overshadowed a magical vacation instead of enhancing it.

Very welcoming and friendly staff who were helpful. The hotel has an underground carpark with a few spaces in front. Inside there's a reception bar and spacious breakfast room with views across the countryside. Everyhing is spotless and immaculately maintained. We booked a budget room with ensuite shower/WC etc. Lots of storage space and hangers, good heating and internet, TV and hairdryer. The breakfast is continental with no hot options apart from toast and a variety of breads, cheeses, meats cereals, fruit, jams, cakes and biscuits. Altogether good quality and fantastic coffee. Pozza is situated in amongst some very picturesque mountains and I can imagine is very popular in the summer. We stayed at the hotel the begining of January and found the immediate ski area had two amazing runs, a long red and a step black down to the town. The link to the sellaronda takes about 30 minutes if there are no queues but the runs are quieter before you get there.
So the downsides are that it's approximately 1 mile to the skilift but a no13 bus stops opposite the hotel but only picks up twice in the morning and on one of our days didn't turn up at all which meant we had a ten minute walk down the hill from the hotel to the main road where we caught another bus. This wasn't easy as the roads and paths don't seem to get gritted around here and were perilously icy. The only other negative is the ski room which is in the basement and although warm and well equipped, you have to walk down the steep car ramp with no handrail which again in icy conditions is a scary ordeal.

Great place! Good localization, nice and helpful service, clean and spacious rooms, tasty breakfast. Even ski room accessible only from outside is not a problem. 5/5!
However… minus two stars for single coffee machine which causes 15-25 minutes long queues on early breakfast… It has to be improved! At least start the breakfast half hour earlier.

Everything was just perfect! The entire hotel was recently renovated, everything is new and very well decorated and perfectly clean. Secured parking lot,
close to all skis resorts. i wish i could stay more ❤️

Nice hotel for skiing. About five minutes away from the lift.
The rooms are beautiful but a little small.
The hotel could be cheaper.

Great hotel. Beautiful and very clean rooms. The owners are incredible, gentle people. Breakfast buffet very complete and diverse. They make you feel like home. If youre going skiing theres a ski bus stop in front of the hotel. I will come back for sure

Please note, there are a lot of restrictions imposed by the owner, not indicated upon initial booking. We felt there was a different treatment to guests from Italy and other countries. The place is more a guest house rather than a hotel.
