Wandered in off the mountain late afternoon in late September. Very friendly reception. Happy with the good value, clean, quiet and comfortable, if basic decor, rooms, and to make use of the spa. Great location. Room clean and spacious. Had a twin bedded room and room was divided which felt like two rooms. No nice view though. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. May be one of my biggest regrets going to Italy. That I did not stay longer at this hotel no complaints best breakfast, best staff, and best views.

We requested & received a high floor balcony room with mountain view facing front. (4th floor is the top.) Room was a large junior suite on 4th floor, but due to some low ceiling beams, I kept hitting my head while navigating around the furniture. (I'm 5'11".) Balcony was large enough for 1 person to sit & enjoy mountain views. Breakfast was definitely worth the bargain 7 euros charged if not included...

Room ok, but the worst food I ate in Italy. Cold dinner, small choice, breakfast Italian so only sweets and bad coffee, really disappointing dinner, vegetables few and not fresh.

The Excelsior and its location takes your breath away in every corner. Incredible facilities and amenities. The dinning service does not match the hotel. Either understaffed or poor timing. Waiters were rushed to take your order, predicting before you actually ordered. Plates arrived at very different timing (my wife ended up waiting a long time for her dish). Great location and staff, pilows sucs

It was cheap compared to the other hotels here. We had breakfast, which wasn't the best, there weren't many kind of food. The beds were comfy, the rooms were tidy. The walls are very thin, you could hear everything happening not just from the other room but from the whole corridor. The staff were polite though. I could relax after 10pm, when other guests slept too. it could use a refurbishment.

Hotel is situated nicely, just outside of town.  Hotel could use an upgrade.  Meager breakfast and the coffee is very un-ltalian.  One would expect great coffee in ltaly but we rather drank tea.  A wee bit disappointed here.

Great location in the mountains in San Martino di Castrozza. After a day of skiing welcomed with a 5 minute drive from the ski lifts to the hotel. Check in was fast and we chose our dinner for the night. After that we booked a spa time slot and it was very amazing and relaxing. The dinner was busy so I knew it was good. The rooms are cozy and welcome even with our little frenchie we had no problems

The hotel is located very conveniently with super views of the mountains and easy access to trails and cable-cars. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They accommodated our late check-in and early departure without fuss and made our 2-day stay most enjoyable. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean.

Excellent place to stay! We spent two nights during September and the price was very fair. The staff was extremely kind and helpfull, rooms always clean, smelled good and were nicely designed. Breathtaking bacony view was a big bonus! There is also a huge parking lot for free. For 15€ oer person you could also use the wellness. We stayed here 9 nights in off season. Sightseeing and hiking tips got from the reception. The personal was so lovely, the room always clean. I visited Hotel Plank with a group of tourists. I really appreciate the willingness and helpfulness of the staff when we were late for the tour. There was no problem to postpone dinner or breakfast so that we could better catch up with the planned trips. Excellent kitchens.

My experience with the service was very good. The waiters are very kind and friendly. The food is reasonable but in other hotel in the same area you can find better.

Very good location as name suggests. It is a great ‘town’ stop to rest before the next leg of our backpacking trip. The room is clean and we love that we had a balcony. Meals are satisfying and tasty. Also appreciate how involved the owners are in the hotel’s operations.

Visited Restaurant Centrale. Delicious food, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices and extremely quick service, which was really surprising. From what I tasted, highly recommend trying goulash and for dessert - tiramisu (apple strudel is a close second).

Amazing view infront of the hotel. I wish we had an appartement ment there. The hotel had short distance to the skiing ressort, and a lot of games in the basement of the hotel.

Good location, also the view from our room was beautiful. Staff were kind. I missed an electric kettle for tea/coffee. The walls are paper thin and we could hear our neighbors. The music from the terrace bar was not as disturbing as the noise from the neighbor room. Also sauna was not working.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff is polite and helpful. We definitely were there not in the season and many of the other hotels were closed as were the majority of the shops and restaurants. Our room was clean and had a magnificent view of the mountains. The breakfast had a nice fresh selection of food. We were sorry we could not stay longer.

My family and I booked this hotel during the TransAlp MTB race. It was steps away from the finish line in the center of San Martino. Incredibly kind and attentive service. The rooms were cozy and very charming.

We only stayed one night at Residence Lastei but we had a great time, the apartment was very clean and equipped with every comfort, perfect even for a family of 5. We will definitely be back! Only one point: the pool is 140 cm deep, bring armbands for the children

Staying at Residence Lastei was overall a very pleasant experience. We booked the accommodation without looking too much into it, but were surprised with the kindness of the personnel and the spacious room. Also worth mentionning are the tasty breakfast and free parking near the accommodation. Would definitely recommend. :)
