Hotel Plank in San Martino di Castrozza

We travel quite a bit (this is our 4th time in Italy) and Hotel Plank is easily the best place we’ve stayed! Mostly due to the incredible hospitality!! We had a long trek on public transportation to get to San Martino and I almost cried when we arrived and they told us they upgraded us to a suite with a balcony and mountain views (shoulder season perks)! But it didn’t stop there—Every single interaction was warm and welcoming, whether it was helping us with the bus schedule or dinner recs or laundry. They always remembered our room # and greeted us by names. One night, I added a couch pillow to the bed because mine was a little flat and when we came back from our hike the next day, house keeping noticed and replaced it with a second pillow without me even asking. The tiniest details can make you feel so special! On top of that, the location is amazing!! It’s just at the edge of town so it’s very quiet! You get unobstructed views and all you hear are the sounds of cow bells. It was an easy walk to the main area of town/bus station/gondolas and a quick ~15-20 min ride up to Passo Rolle. We LOVED our stay and can’t wait to come back someday! GRAZIE MILLE!

The ideal place for a well-deserved rest after a day trip to the mountains. Surprisingly spacious, cozy and comfortable rooms with a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. First class local cuisine. Very pleasant staff.

Total satisfaction, great cuisine and very kind and attentive staff. Beautiful rooms. All the dishes were very tasty. The rooms were always carefully cleaned. We probably received new towels unnecessarily often. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the small town with wonderful mountain views.

I visited Hotel Plank with a group of tourists. I really appreciate the willingness and helpfulness of the staff when we were late for the tour. There was no problem to postpone dinner or breakfast so that we could better catch up with the planned trips. Excellent kitchens.

Three-star hotel, spacious rooms, owners and kind staff. The kitchen is good and plentiful and the coffee for breakfast delivered by the machine is really good. Good quality / price ratio. P.S. the hotel is located on the outskirts of San Martino di Castrozza, a 5-minute walk from the center. The space in front is free and allows a view of the Pale. (Stunning)

Heaven! Slightly off the center. Delightful family-run hotel surrounded by greenery. A stone's throw from the path to the Ces hut. Hotel is located on the banks of the Plank pond: with so many ducks! If you want to relax, it doesn't get any better. The restaurant is also excellent, the waiters are very kind and attentive to meet all needs.

The view to the Mountains the little lake and the food, make the nice combination to enjoy some days in the heart of mountains of Tirol.
