Hotel Sole in Sottomarina

Hotel Sole is a solid choice for a seaside getaway in Chioggia.
Friendly staff, a good breakfast, and a lovely beachside position make it worth a stay — just don’t expect luxury; think comfortable, pleasant, and welcoming. Overall, the impression is very positive, especially considering the price: it’s not a high-end hotel, but for what you pay, it’s absolutely decent and enjoyable.

The main advantage is definitely the location — right by the sea and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the center of Sottomarina. However, one important note: despite what is advertised on Booking.com and other sites, the hotel does not have its own parking. Instead, they offer two nearby parking options, both of which are paid, usually around €10–15 per day.

In short: if you come with the right expectations — a simple, clean, and well-located hotel without unnecessary frills — Hotel Sole delivers a pleasant stay.

A wonderful hotel. This was our first time in Italy, and definitely not the last. The entire hotel staff made sure we fell in love with this country. Starting with the reception, always ready to help solve even the most basic issues (transportation, room, dinner reservations), to the housekeeping staff, everything was top-notch. Breakfast was always fresh and varied, with something for everyone, from eggs, fruits, and pastries to regional Italian products.

A big thank you to the entire team at Hotel Sole you are amazing. And we promise we’ll definitely be back !

We were very happy to stay at Sole. Friendly sweet team, tasty breakfasts with sea view, comfortable swimming pool. Super location very close to the sea. We hope to came again.

Me and my partner spent 6 nights in Hotel Sole and I can say that we've had a very pleasent stay there. Room was spotless, cleaning ladies do great job and are very friendly. Hotel staff was helpful, professional, kind and greet all guests with big smiles - you can really feel welcome there. Breakfasts were delicious. Everyone can find something for themselves. Very good location, close to the beach (where we've had our own loungers and parasol for the whole stay as hotel has private beach), swimming pool, shops, bus stops, restaurants, pubs and within a walking distance to Sottomarina/Chioggia (30-40 min walk). The only thing that I'd say needs improving was the bathroom, even though it was clean it would benefit from renovation as it was quite old fashioned, but that doesn't affect my overall opinion.
To sum up, I highly recommended Hotel Sole if you're looking for a relaxing stay in beautiful place :) We will come back in the future.

Nice hotel close to the beach. Rooms are small and clean. Some rooms have sea view.

Breakfast is good also for scandinavian taste. Fresh vegetables and fruits are included.

Service is friendly and helpful. Busses leave next to the hotel if you want to visit Chioggia.
