Hotel Hubertus in Valdaora

An absolutely exceptional stay at Hotel Hubertus. We traveled as a family across three generations – grandparents, daughter and son-in-law, plus our nanny – and everyone was truly impressed. As passionate skiers, we especially appreciated the great access to the slopes and the amazing wellness. The food, service, and overall atmosphere were outstanding. Even our nanny, visiting for the first time, was absolutely amazed by the design and comfort. Highly recommended – we will definitely come back!

A very last minute booking but one which far exceeded our expectations. This hotel has a big heart - the pool, spa, architecture etc are all incredible and well documented but we were also so impressed with the personal service, the locally sourced, delicious and beautifully presented meals, the hikes in the snow, the fun outdoor activities on offer (the tobogganing was great fun), the perfectly appointed rooms with views for miles, the extensive wine list, the spa treatments… I could go on! Can’t wait to go back.

Extremely friendly staff everywhere. Location is a bit remote, but the hotel offers full board and it is of excellent quality with a nice variety and choices. Given the hotel's price point, it attracts a well off audience. Unfortunately some of the guests do not know how to behave in a luxury hotel, which can be disturbing. e.g. a cocktail glass left poolside, unproper attire in restaurants. The hotel also has an extensive wellness offering, which we did not use so unable to comment. The sports facilities are very good. The hotel also offers group hikes. Overall a top hotel

We went here for one week in March. It is hard to articulate how amazing and special this place is, but I will try. First of all, the staff are incredible. They communicate between each other, everyone knows the details, you are made to feel so welcome. A very big thanks to our restaurant host Manuela who made our breakfasts and dinners very special. Features are fantastic, wooden elements, very comfortable beds, breathtaking views, and all their aquatic facilities are simply incredible, especially the Sky Pool. Spa center was lovely, we had 3 procedures, all done by amazing specialists. Package we got included all the meals. But completely next level: food was extremely tasty, very fresh, local produce, dinners were very creative and memorable with lots of tyrolean specialties. Hotel also had a variety of weekly activities, like winter lake hike and cooking at local lady's house. It was really so special. Big thanks to Sonja for being a wonderful guide. We would return in a heartbeat, and are already planning to for later this year. It is definitely a place not to be missed.

This hotel is on another level. Everything about it feels perfectly thought through, with so much attention to detail — right down to the cosy socks you can wear in the spa to relax. We were seated at a fantastic table for both breakfast and dinner, with stunning views over the village and mountains. Enjoying such wonderful food each day, in such a setting, was a complete delight. The ski area in Kronplatz may be smaller than some other parts of the Dolomites, but there were still plenty of runs to enjoy over the week. And honestly, when you have a hotel this perfect to come back to, it feels like a very fair tradeoff. There’s also so much to do during the day — guided walks, fitness classes, excursions — that it’s almost difficult to leave to go skiing in the first place! Returning from the slopes to delicious cakes and treats made the hotel the ideal place for a relaxed après‑ski. Our room on the second floor had the same spectacular views as the restaurant, even from the bathroom. If the bedrooms, food, and skiing aren’t enough, the outdoor space truly is the hotel’s highlight. It never felt crowded, and we could always find a lounger or quiet corner to unwind. The infinity pool at sunset after a day on the slopes was absolute bliss. And the auf gus saunas were such a unique experience — once you get used to wearing nothing but your towel, it becomes incredibly relaxing, especially with the open fire and drinks afterwards. The family who run the hotel are warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, as are all the staff. The bar team make fantastic cocktails, always served with a smile. One of our favourite moments was the chalet lunch the family hosts every Friday. They open their mountain chalet to all hotel guests for goulash soup and a few beers. You can ski or hike there, and it’s such great fun. This hotel goes above and beyond in every way. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay. We can’t wait to return.

The Hubertus provides the highest level of hospitality. The position and views are unrivalled. You can't help but feel calm looking out over the valley! The service is exceptional. The hotel is spotlessly clean. There must be so much going on behind the scenes and it just appears seamless. Thank you to the friendly and professional service from Tatiana in the restaurant and all the team at the bar. The range of activities provided is unparalleled. We enjoyed some fabulous excursions. A particular shout out to Werner, the hotel mountain guide, who provided a well thought out snow-shoe trip with a friendly and supportive approach. The views from Monte Piana were spectacular and Werner ensured we had the best experience of the mountains. The hotel is a joy and we look forward to our next visit!

This hotel is just amazing. Everything we were hoping for and more. The hotel itself, the food, the pools and spa all far exceeded our expectations. What really made this hotel stand out is undoubtedly the service. The owners themselves were so welcoming and friendly, and somehow all the staff we encountered had the same enthusiasm. The attention to detail is second to none and a special breakfast for my husband’s birthday was a lovely surprise. It felt like absolutely everyone worked so hard to make sure we had the best time. We will be booking as soon as possible to return next year, and look forward to seeing everyone again.

We stayed at Hotel Hubertus for a few days in October to celebrate my birthday. We are big fans of South Tyrol and regularly visit spa hotels, so our expectations were naturally quite high. Upon arrival, the parking garage is located directly in a curve, and it was quite difficult to find a free spot. Unfortunately, there was no staff member present to assist or guide us. We also had to bring our luggage into the hotel ourselves. Check-in itself was pleasant: we were offered a welcome drink and a small greeting from the kitchen, which we enjoyed on the terrace — a lovely way to arrive. Afterward, we were shown to our room and given a general explanation of the hotel. The property is quite large, and depending on where your room is located, the walking distances inside the hotel should not be underestimated. The view from the room was stunning, and the room itself had everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner are organized with a fixed table for the entire stay, which works very well. On the first evening, everything is explained in detail, and afterward you can independently return to your table for each meal. Dinner is served as a menu that is well explained, with options to make adjustments. Overall, the food was very good. The “Heaven & Hell” spa area is truly unique and something special. That said, when the hotel is fully booked, the wellness and sauna areas feel far too crowded for a place that is meant to offer relaxation. Especially the outdoor sauna huts were often very full, with some guests taking up a lot of space and creating an atmosphere that felt more like a festival than a spa. This significantly reduced the feeling of calm and relaxation for us. Considering the number of rooms, the spa area simply feels too small. The hotel grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, and we found it incredibly charming that rabbits roam freely around the property. The pool area is definitely a highlight and perfect for taking beautiful photos. However, despite clear information about respecting other guests’ privacy, not everyone followed these rules. At times, we had to be very careful not to appear in other guests’ photos or videos, which was uncomfortable and disappointing. During our stay, I celebrated my birthday. Unfortunately, neither the restaurant staff nor the reception acknowledged it, even though my birthday had been clearly communicated in advance by my partner. This was especially disappointing given the hotel’s price level. The only birthday surprise was a cake organized by my partner himself, which I truly appreciated — but there was no gesture at all from the hotel. My partner had also requested that the usual birthday message on the slate board not be displayed, which was respected, but no alternative attention was offered. For a hotel of this category, we expected a bit more thoughtfulness. At checkout, another issue stood out. Just before leaving, I realized I had forgotten something in the safe. I was allowed back

Guests celebrating a birthday receive truly special treatment – the room and dinner table are beautifully decorated, and a delicious cake awaits at the table.
The excursions offered by the hotel are of high quality, interesting, and well-organized.
A special mention goes to Yana and Fabian, who led the tours and activities at an exceptionally high level, with warmth and great attention to detail.
The sauna ceremony with them was an unforgettable experience — highly recommended!
In the dining room, Manuela is absolutely wonderful – attentive, friendly, and provides top-notch service.
And Manuel is incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with anything you need.
In short – an outstanding hotel in every respect: quality, atmosphere, and especially the people. Highly recommended! ❤️
