2nd time here and brought the family this time. They loved it. A special treat for them all. Loved every minute of our stay here. All the staff lovely and helpful as usual. Cocktails great Francesco, Mirko thank u again. Went beyond to help with everything. Food was lovely as always. Can’t wait to return next year.

The hotel fulfills expectations on every level. The service is highly professional from arrival at the front desk, followed by the food and beverage department and on to the support staff. We took four rooms for a week, and my adult children each had a superior room which were in the newer wing, each of which was large and beautifully appointed. One had an enormous terrace and two had large balconies which were all perfect for late afternoon sun. We on the other hand took a Dolomites suite, which being set on a corner was an odd shape and didn’t get the sun at the end of the day. Whilst it was a large room with 2 bathrooms and a separate sitting area I really didn’t like the orientation. A purely personal gripe, but the bed and the wall facing it were at an odd tangent. I also thought the electric fire a bit unnecessary. If you are going to include a fire make it a real one as they do at the Almhof Schneider in Lech. Frankly a superior room might be better than the suite. The rooms were always spotlessly made up on our return from a day on the slopes and the turn down service always a nice touch. Drinks in the bar pre dinner were always good, and the restaurant experience under Nadia’s supervision impeccable. My daughter is intolerant to many things, and nothing was too much trouble to Nadia or the kitchen. The daily dinner selection is huge. On leaving the hotel the reception called to say we had left some luggage in one of the rooms, and one of their drivers drove towards us as we drove back to the hotel which was extremely helpful. Overall this is a stunning 5 star hotel which delivers on every level. Any negativity in my review is much more to do with my personal preference than outright criticism. The skiing experience in Selva is so far above the more well known and popular ski resorts in France and Austria. So without a doubt we’ll be back next year.

Hotel: the hotel was perfect for our family of 4, 2 adults 2 teens. We had a large suiite, really spacious and modern with 2 separate sleeping areas and 2 bathrooms. The spa is really lovely with a choice of saunas, steams and relaxation areas. It never seemed crowded, a perfect way to end a day on the slopes. Our package was half board, a daily breakfast with everything you’d want, and quality evening meals offering an array of traditional and European foods. You can eat as much or as little as you want from the buffet or à la carte menu. Overall the hotel has a quality feel, a large inviting bar area and modern ski locker room. Location: the only consideration is that the hotel Is not ski in ski out, however the daily private shuttle Is prompt and efficient and the nearest lifts are only a short walk away. Service:the service in the hotel has been all in all fantastic, I want to highlight Nadia our waitress in the restaurant, she is absolutely superb, makes you feel so welcome, she would be an asset in any restaurant or fine dining establishment, absolute quality. She was away one evening and I had to ask for someone to take our food request and had no desert due to the waitress not being attentive. Skiing: the ski area is so vast, I would however say if you are a beginner then some of the runs will be challenging, if you are intermediate or advanced then you will absolutely love the Dolomites, the snow quality this week has been absolutely superb and the Sallaronda is a great tour for anyone to complete.

We had the most lovely experience here from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. The staff on reception (Deborah) and others the most helpful we have had on a ski trip and elsewhere in a longtime. Thank u! From Fabio also in the rent boot room who helped us with ease get ready to hit the slopes to the lovely Nadia who every night was so happy and professional helping us with the delicious menu at dinner. What a tremendous team at this hotel. The hotel and facilities were ideal for us for the short stay we had. Half board was perfect, great selection for breakfast and dinner. We did not have to venture out at all. The prices for drinks, I thought for a ski resort was very reasonable indeed. The spa had a huge selection of steam rooms and saunas. Loved the activity board also this was a fantastic idea. We look forward to venturing back soon.

Hotel Granbaita is marketed and priced as a luxury, five-star Dolomites experience. It is not and it represents very poor value for money. From the outset, the accommodation felt substandard. The bed linen and toilet paper were both extremely rough, bordering on hostel quality. We raised this directly with staff and asked for it to be remedied; no one followed up and nothing changed. For a hotel charging at this level, basic comfort should not require repeated requests. The hallways and interiors are deeply uninviting. Long, narrow corridors resemble a hospital rather than an alpine retreat, a feeling reinforced by harsh lighting and worn carpets that genuinely recall The Shining. There is no warmth or cohesion in the design. Instead, the hotel is filled with odd, randomly dispersed sculptures and artwork that add to the sterile, impersonal atmosphere rather than elevating it. The spa area smelled unpleasant, and instead of addressing the underlying issue, the hotel seemed to mask it with an overpowering, synthetic cologne — the same scent was sprayed into guest rooms, making the problem worse rather than better. The hotel’s size is clearly part of the problem: it is far too large to deliver the attentive service and intimacy one expects in the Dolomites. Despite booking well in advance, we were placed far apart, with no consideration given to keeping rooms together. Food – the biggest disappointment The dining experience was, frankly, unacceptable. • Breakfast was mediocre at best: limited fresh fruit, dry pastries, and eggs that were inconsistent day to day. • On one occasion we ordered overnight oats — the result was genuinely inedible. • Dinner service was the low point of the stay. Protein courses were repeatedly poorly cooked and oddly paired with strange, baby-food-like purées (clearly visible in the photos). • The antipasto buffet featured raw seafood left sitting out for extended periods, raising serious concerns about freshness and food safety. • The so-called “dessert night” felt entirely mass-produced. Items appeared either shop-bought or prepared days in advance, lacking freshness, skill, or care. One night we were excited to order our beloved Kaiserschmarrn. What came out was 4 pieces of oily, flat, cold pancake. A complete disservice to the dish and cuisine. What made this worse was the response when we raised concerns: waitstaff and management consistently dismissed feedback with “that’s just how it is.” This attitude is incompatible with a hotel positioning itself at the top end of the market. Service With the exception of the drivers and one waiter, service was poor. Staff were often dismissive, defensive, and uninterested in resolving issues. There was no sense of hospitality, warmth, or pride, qualities that define truly great alpine hotels. Comparison matters We stayed at Hotel Tyrol earlier on the same trip and had a wonderful experience. Warm service, excellent food, thoughtful design, and genuine hospitali

Very nice and definetly luxury hotel. Strongly reccommend to book half-pansion rate — restaurant is excellent and you clearly do not need to go for dinner to anywhere else. The spa, pools and saunas are excellent as well

We had an amazing time! The hotel is beautiful and the spa is amazing, as are the treatments- I had 2. The food is great with a huge selection- half board has both menu options and buffet options, all included. Bar /lounge area is fun also with a huge selection. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the service of all of the staff is wonderful and feels very family like. After a few days the waiters knew what we liked to drink and had it waiting for us at the table!! The hotel has everything you need for family or romantic getaway with lots of activities and options. The area that the hotel is located in is small and not central so outings are limited in walking distance- which for us was great. Aside from skiing, we didn’t leave the hotel, a huge bonus when you don’t want to have to walk around to find a restaurant every night like we usually do with other places!! The staff will drive you to and pick you up from 3 very convenient locations for ski making the hotel super easy for skiing. You can rent gear from the hotel and they give you lockers so nothing is needed from outside the hotel. There is also a way to ski back to the hotel if you want. We left at 3am and there was a HUGE breakfast box waiting for us to take with us as well as a printed birthday greeting and gift for my husband (the day we left was his birthday- I didn’t mention it, they noticed from his passport and did this themselves). What a lovely, friendly, family feel but luxury hotel. Everything you need for a perfect ski vacation!!

Beautiful hotel and spa! In the spa you can find various kinds of sauna, whirpool and indoor and outdoor pool + relax area. I had a great massage from Marlene - highly recommended! I will definately come back again. They have spa package also for those who don’t stay at the hotel!
