Pension Montana in Inner Sulden

Excellent location for skiing, comfortable rooms, although several details made the stay a little less pleasant (1980s-style sofa in the room, uncomfortable ski room, poorly stocked and limited breakfast, totally inefficient dining room service, and the stube smells significantly). What made us change our minds about staying at this establishment again was the utterly surly and unhelpful owner. Any request, polite and within limits, was met with comments in Tyrolean dialect—clearly insults or impolite remarks—and a slow and annoyed response. We had issues with checkout (8:30 a.m. is unthinkable to have to wait indefinitely to settle the bill on a ski day!); with the cleanliness of the breakfast room (since there were no clean tables, we sat at one set for others, even without instructions… they impatiently asked us why); and orders were often incorrect (extra or incorrect drinks), causing considerable complaint from the owner; They impatiently left our dinner early and closed breakfast early. The spa is frankly awful.
