I have stayed at many hotels, but Hotel Schwarzschmied is in a league of its own. We stayed here with our best friends from June 30th through August 2nd, 2025. From the moment you walk through the doors, you feel an immediate sense of "Heimat" (home) mixed with refined, modern elegance. Amazing food, views, and service. Why this hotel is a 10/10: The Design: The aesthetic is breathtaking. It’s a perfect blend of traditional South Tyrolean architecture and minimalist, sustainable design. Every corner is "Instagrammable," yet it feels warm and inviting, not cold. The Food (La Fucina): Wow. Fantasticly fresh! The "Slow Food" concept is executed to perfection. The ingredients are so fresh, and the flavors are sophisticated yet honest. Whether you are a vegan or a meat-eater, the kitchen team goes above and beyond. We ate outside in the garden area every morning. What an amazing way to start the day! The View: The Gardens & Views: The outdoor spaces are a highlight. The gardens are meticulously kept, offering a lush, green escape that feels tucked away from the world. Every time you look up, you’re met with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards that change beautifully with the light. The Vibe: It’s quiet, intentional, and deeply relaxing. The staff is attentive and professional without being stuffy—they truly make you feel like a welcomed friend. The Verdict: If you are looking for a place to disconnect from the world's noise and reconnect with yourself, this is it. I left feeling completely rejuvenated and am already planning my return trip. The Location: Perfectly located close to shopping and a few minutes' walk to Funivia Monte San Vigilio (Vigiljoch cable car). Get transported directly from Lana to the car-free Vigiljoch mountain, where we hiked and enjoyed amazing views. A Magic Moment: One afternoon, a sudden rain shower passed through Lana, and as the sun broke through the clouds over the mountains, it brought the most breathtaking double rainbow I’ve ever seen. It was a core memory moment that perfectly captured the magic of this location and our trip. Don't think twice—just book it!

Excellent hotel, excellent service and food! I really liked the hotel design, food options were great (for all meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner) Did two spa treatments - really liked it too!

Fantastic hospitality, great food and service, really beautiful sauna and pool, tastefully decorated interior - just perfect!

Excellent and varied yoga classes, a quiet hotel and a very idyllic location, also very popular with golfers, friendly staff, and excellent regional cuisine. Absolutely fantastic! :)

Very nice hotel with happy & helpful employees, excellent food! I have already recommended it to my family and friends!

Overall the hotel is very comfortable. it should be a calm and peaceful place. But what I don't understand is that such a peaceful place should normally be away from children. However this hotel has too many kids and families, even newborn babies. So I don't really know why it is described as a hotel for relaxation. meditation and yoga. it feels a bit different from the concept the hotel is trying to present.
