A wonderful, family owned chalet with enormous history, full of handcrafted decorations and artefacts. The building itself is a tribute to 150 years of expert carpentry and care and it has a welcoming atmosphere you just will not find anywhere else. The staff are are all incredibly helpful and friendly, and the food is great too. The location is simply superb, in a little valley high in the mountains. We will definitely return!

Everything was way above our expectations. From the hosts that greeted us, to the exceptional food they served us both at dinner and at breakfast. The views are breathtaking and everywhere you look you should expect to be stunned both by the natural beauty of the place as well as the man made enhancements so exquisetly done.

The food was very tasty. Home made ingredients make the difference. The staff is super friendly and helped us choose. Save some space for desert !

Lovely place for lunch (make sure to get your spot outside!). Their terrace has an outstanding view and there's a nice breeze during summer.

What a dinner!! Need to come here on an empty stomach and try the "tasting menu" they will bring you samples of their regional cuisine. Everything was delicious even if you may not be use to the combination of ingredients (honey and chestnuts was a surprise!). The decor was that of a rustic mountain cabin that had an outside fireplace that can keep you warm while you enjoy the wilderness. Had one of the best Pinot noir from Valle Aosta!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at La Jolie Bergere in late August, during our trip to Italy. It was definitely the highlight of our 3 week journey throughout Northern Italy. The beauty of the mountains and pastures is truly hard to describe. The wonderful hospitality and attention to detail is unmatched. The authentic Aosta cuisine was so delicious and plentiful. This is a hidden gem! We will be returning without a doubt and will plan to stay for a few more days next time. Thank you Paul, Monica, Loran, Paola and Angela for making us feel so welcome :)
