Where to stay with kids in Aosta Valley

Great experience!! The hotel is located in La Thuile (Aosta Valley). I stayed in the hotel from 19 March 2016 to 27 March 2016. The nearest airport is Geneva. The place is well connected by road to Geneva

Let’s start with the positives. • Rooms are excellent, clean and presentable. • General Areas are always clean. So So The negatives • Food! Awful, disappointing

Booked the day before as we were only staying one night. Room was great, warm, clean and comfortable. Parking for €12 a day was great value too and hotel is literally the centre of the resort for skiing

Stayed in a triple room for 3 long time friends in our early 60s. Skiing, so location at the foot of the gondola for the mountain was superb. Could not fault the Hotel and all the staff

Very happy I found this place and we’ll be back for longer next time

This place was AMAZING. The area was beautiful and comfy. Rooms were cozy and noice. Only issue was that room service as lakky and didn't really do much to my room when I gone so that's a down side but overall 4 stars.

There are lots of relaxation areas and rooms, various zen spaces, a face gym and different types of sauna and hamman, hot pools and refreshing showers

We enjoyed the spa from when we arrived and all of the following day. There is no real "pool" but more of a long jacuzzi bath which we enjoyed

There was also tea and coffee and meringues on the bar! The only real downside was the heat in the room, which was a bit uncomfortable. It would be great if the hotel could provide fans for guests to help with this

Also, they charge +60€ for a romantic room (vs classic) which includes a tiny view to the mountain (and the parking road), some hand creams kit and 4 nespreso capsules: definitely not worth to pay the extra

And if you go on a weekend the room price is just twice that of a week day. Spa is nice overall but half the saunas do not work properly. The restaurant is amazingly good, a bit overpriced though

The room itself was clean and comfortable, though it's starting to show some signs of wear and tear. However, these minor issues didn't detract from our overall experience

We get to the room at 15:30 and guess what? no bed, no extra towels, no room I desired and ask for 2 weeks in advance! I asked to get a room that they post online but got a room that is nowhere to be advertised online as the promised view is half visible through a roof, the bathroom has no window and asking specifically for a bath as we come with a child we got a shower

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Our room had a fantastic view of Mont Blanc. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Food in La Fenêtre restaurant on both nights was excellent

Booked 2 weeks in advance the most expensive room they had and communicated that we need a bed for the child for extra payment. Arrived 2 hours prior and checked that its noted with the reception

On arrival we were taken to a table by the pool and then brought two complimentary glasses of Prosecco. Comfortable, double aspect room with doors leading out to our own private balcony with table and chairs

It would be difficult for two to eat a meal with a drinks for under €200. Prices were similar at the bar, water around €5, a small bottled beer €8. As we were here for three days, we chose to eat in the village

Impossible to adequately convey the helpfulness of the staff here. From arriving in the car park, to find someone waiting to take our cases, to the care and kindness shown to us by all the staff

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, good food and a shuttle to the lift station. Le Miramonti is family owned and you can tell the difference

The breakfast and dinner were delicious. But the “spa” is a cold pool, not a hot tub. Which is not my favorite after skiing in the cold all day. Also, there’s not coffee in the room

The manager has created a haven in the midst of towering mountain and surrounded by the sounds of the steam

Booked Le Miramonti as our wedding location to stay for our family and friends. Staff was perfect! And extremely accommodating. Beautiful hotel with stunning rooms. Spa was super chill to relax and unwind

Amazing service A very central location. Staff very helpful, spoke good english and nothing was too difficult for them to arrange. Small pool, sauna and spa were lovely

They were super friendly, polite and very helpful, especially the minibus driver who took us to and from the lifts everyday. Our room was comfortable and had a very spacious bathroom with a good powerful shower

The rooms are clean, warm and cozy, with most offering beautiful balcony views of the surrounding alpine scenery

In addition to the usual delicious Italian fare, there was a fantastic variety of salads, meats, and rotating hot dishes. Every night offered something new, and the quality was consistently excellent

Breakfasts are fresh and filling — just what you need to start the day strong but the real standout this season was the evening dinner buffet, which was absolutely outstanding

The only downside is that access to the spa area is not included and comes at an extra cost, which is a bit disappointing for a ski hotel. That said, the rest of the experience more than made up for it

Little gym, excellent spa and wellness centre - check the indoor and outdoor pool. Great massages and other treatments available! Highly recommended

The White Angel Hotel in Cervinia is a true gem for anyone serious about skiing and looking for a comfortable, well-run place to return to after a full day on the slopes

Views of Monte Bianco /Monte Blanc amazing Very nice breakfast and dinner with good selections of wines. - of course if you need something really beautiful for dinner , chose recommended restaurants in neighborhoods

I really like my stay in this hotel during my daughter’s winter holiday. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious. Access to cable lifts pretty good quite close to hotel

Nice staff and had a great room. Pool facilities and views from rooms very nice. Longer walk especially with luggage. Plan for a scheduled taxi to take your form town center (Bus stop) to hotel

This hotel is fantastic. The rooms are big and new. The bathroom is big and great design, elegant. The spa is great as well. I truly loved this property.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with plenty of variety, and the coffee — made by the staff with your choice of milk — was excellent. With animals around, be ready for a few uninvited flies

We loved all the animals in the hotel. They have pigs, dogs, chickens goat and more than are all really cute. The property is conveniently located within walking distance to the Skyway Monte Bianco

Also, be aware that they ask to keep your passport or ID to fill out paperwork, which I found weird and uncomfortable as a foreigner, so I waited to take it back

Hotel la Grange is an absolute must visit. Every member of staff is truly passionate about the hotel and it's friendly animals, it's an experience like no other

We stayed at this hotel on our arranged holiday with interski. The friendly staff couldn’t do enough for us and our children from the minute we arrived

More like a 3 star hotel. Carefull, gym and outdoor pool closed in September 24. Hot tub and finish sauna do not work. The indoor swimming pool and staff are nice. Would be worth approximately 75e/night in my opinion.

Good hotel, worthy of 3 stars, wifi doesn't work in some areas, as it is a large building full of walls, the TV doesn't work on the channels, the outdoor pool area is very good, good breakfast.

When traveling alone it’s always so important to have a level of comfort. The weight staff made me feel right at home. I was originally going to stay for one day and fell in love with both the hotel and the town

Food and drinks were excellent, as was the service. Breakfast at the hotel was epic. We stayed in 8 different hotels over 12 days and no breakfast buffet compared to The Grand in Courmayeur

Friends and I stayed here as part of hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc. The front desk staff were very helpful and nice. We had drinks at the hotel bar and dinner in the Hôtel restaurant

In 1854 its exceptional to see the inside, the pool,spa, the coffee in the front. The food is nice and service is second to none. Don't miss sitting in the sunny yard sipping your espresso with the locals

Multiple families were fortunate to have enjoyed several days together at this beautiful hotel for a family wedding in the area

From the moment you step inside, the reception area is huge with spectacular mountain views. The room we were allotted was incredible and any window you loo out of, those spectacular mountains are always present

The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna, shop, etc. But we didn't use it, because my husband and I focus on skiing full day only and then we don't have the capacity for other activities and attractions

Also time of check-in lasted 1h as not enough receptionists were on site and gave us wrong information about where to park and how to reach the right parking (imagine how fun that it was after 10hrs drive) and 3

It’s family-friendly hotel and there are a lot of children, so restaurant is very noisy, and it is difficult to talk even at your own table - you must get used to the unimaginable noise

It’s very comfortable! The hotel is old, but with such an unique atmosphere, very Italian. Italians with children and English skiers predominate, but there are few Poles as well

The rooms are sufficient, comfortable, clean and very warm - you can sleep with the window open even in severe frost

The price of a 6-day skipass includes the possibility of using another resort for 2 days - I highly recommend you a day trip to Courmayeur, where you can take a panoramic, ultra-modern 360° view Skyway Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc) cableway - the single ticket price is quite high, so it's great to have it in the ski pass included

Private balcony, superb view on Grand Paradiso, our own sauna! Service excellent Only wish the dinner could have been better - lunch menu and food was preferable to dinner! Best massage ever! Spa is peaceful and inviting

We stayed in the suite this weekend and held a reception for 30 people at the restaurant. Both room and restaurant were impeccably setup with an attention the detail superior to some of the best global 5 star hotels

Staff are respectful, helpful and dedicated. The hotel is cosy and a home-from-home. We had a superb room with a balcony with a picture-perfect view over the Gran Paradiso. The hotel gives one a feel-good factor

We stayed for two nights at this marvellous hotel in mid September. We were greeted as we pulled into the car park and made to feel very welcome. We had a lovely room that was very comfortable indeed

The staff was attentive, truly caring and made our stay memorable. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Bravo to Pietro and his team for running this historic institution to such a high standard

They came to clean the room twice each day but were very good about doing it when we were out. The spa is also very impressive. We had wonderful massages that were incredibly relaxing

I stayed two nights with my family this summer

Although the hotel was fully booked, the staff (from reception to the lounge / bar, to the rooms) was always very attentive and helpful, allowing us to have a truly super experience! We had two communicating rooms, with attention to every detail, in full local style, very clean, quiet and, what is not trivial, arranged twice a day, morning and evening

It is clear that the current health emergency has led to a whole series of new measures and procedures that can create a slight slowdown in the service, but in the end you are on vacation in a splendid place and this pays off amply! In conclusion, definitely an experience to repeat and recommend

From the balcony we could admire a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn, a marvel also visible from the well-kept hotel garden, where on sunny days it is also possible to dine outdoors and relax on the deck chairs

Amazing birthday dinner for me and wife. Everything was perfect, beginning with the creative amuse bouche, then the local beef and lamb and finally an excellent wine list with honest markups

It is very interesting to order, in addition to the dishes from the menu, a wide range of very fresh dishes from the large grill placed at the entrance to the room

This hotel is amazing!! My husband and I came away for a short skiing break. We wanted somewhere that felt authentic to the mountains, laid back but with a luxury feel, great food and wonderful service

The spa is beautiful - it feels brand new and everything has been taken care of - dressing gowns, slippers, herbal tea, a lovely out to indoor pool, treatments available, sauna and steam room - the hotel was fairly busy but the spa just always felt very quiet and peaceful

The staff are all incredibly lovely, helpful and go above and beyond. The shuttle bus to take you to the lifts is literally never more than a few minutes away and helps make skiing completely seamless

They offer a free shuttle into Courmayeur then we hoofed around town or the neighbouring hills and riverside. They even left us a bottle of local fizz and a fruit plate for our anniversary!

Charming interiors with stunning views. Spacious rooms with generously sized bathrooms and comfortable beds. The food is exceptional, and the service impeccable, from the moment we arrived

Makes it feel very personal, as did all the staff, from the lovely and incredibly helpful receptionist to the fabulous waiters who were available to meet every request, instantly! Loved it and would 100% recommend it to others

I would recommend to order pick-up through the hotel from the airport and back, it will be less expensive than car with full insurance, less hassle with the snow chains (if you manage to get the right size from the rental)

We had a triple room and my son loved his separate room adjoined to ours by a sliding door - proper bed for him, no sofa bed in sight - fantastic! We were half-board

Don’t let the work in the garden put you off, there’s still plenty of space to relax outside. They’re building an outdoor heated pool which will be fabulous, alongside the amazing indoor pool

We’ve had a wonderful 4 days here, and experienced everything they have to offer. The climbing wall is a first for me, and was great fun with the instructor Tomas making me feel safe and confident

If you like the outdoors and a cool vibe this is the place to come. I can’t recommend it highly enough

This hotel and it's staff are absolutely outstanding. My husband and our two children enjoyed 5 nights here in two mountain suites in February

The spa is also very large, with a well-equipped indoor area that must be booked in advance (there was enough availability during our stay), a large 25 m indoor pool and 2 outdoor wood-heated jacuzzis, as well as a traditional sauna

And yet the design is clever enough to make individual areas feel cosy and intimate with high end comfortable modern furnishings. The ambiance is warm both literally and in terms of the charming and helpful staff

We were hoping can they please serve the dinner slightly earlier? No not possible, so we say ok we'll look at the menu and ensure we tell the server exactly what we want once seated at 7:30pm

But of course we're under their mercy since this is a very remote place where you've no where to go. If you love late evenings and have great eyesight in the dark, this is a great place

So we have to hover at reception till 8:20 where poor reception has to ask their chef to "Hurry Up". All these drama could be reduced if their chef can be more cooperative

We're the only 2 tables around and end up our 2nd course can only appear at 9pm. I missed the 2nd course as this is just too much since we've a long hike the next morning

Not even a rubbish bin in the room. The hair conditioner pump also didn't work. Room is very dark and there is a table but no chair so is impossible to work on the table

Anyway, what frustrates us is the fact they know we can't go elsewhere so no one is willing to be flexible especially the chef

New and completely green hotel, in the center, but very quiet, located on the river side with a wonderful small lake in front. Excellent service in every area, cleaning, kitchen, reception and spa

We stayed as a family of 3 at this hotel between Christmas and New Year and were extremely impressed. Breakfast is called “a gastronomic offering” and simply could not be improved

The entire staff (Elena and everyone else that we came into contact with at the bar, lobby and restaurants) were so helpful and attentive, and the rooms were well-appointed and comfortable

Evening aperitifs served in the bar and lounge. Spa very clean, well appointed pool and is able to swim especially with resistance jets, sauna, steam room etc
