This hotel sucks
Do not believe this hotel when they say they have parking. They do not and told me so when I arrived with my bags. Very unhelpful. Simply shrugged shoulders and did little to help. To be fair the city of Lecce is almost impossible for cars so little surprise they don’t allow them into the centre. Had I known, had the hotel actually said something beforehand, I could have made a different decision. Maybe still stay but accept what was to happen. Or not to stay and find somewhere else that could better accommodate a car. We are on a road trip so the car aspect is very important. That the hotel did nothing to assist is unacceptable. The fact that the hotel is fine, location great, city lovely is sadly beside the point. The hotel management sucks. Their attitude ruined our stay. I am very very disappointed.

Terrible experience. The website said “parking available” (15 euro). Street parking available. Arriving I was told that THER WAS NO PARKING, even on the street. There was a parking lot 800m away (25 euro!). At the room there WAS NO WINDOW, just a skylight in the ceiling that opened about 5 centimeters, so no ventilation. it was 17 to 20 degrees outside, but 27 degrees inside the room ALL THE TIME. The air conditioning WASN'T WORKING. At the reception I was told "as it was cold, only the HEATING was on. And that they couldn't turn on the air conditioning and the heating at the same time because it was just one system for the whole hotel. !!!! I asked for another room and there wasn't one. My wife had to sleep covered in a wet towel to withstand the heat in the room. It's worth mentioning that the staff were not at all welcoming and when I complained about these absurdities I was told very unwillingly that I should write to the manager. In addition, the room's electronic password safe was broken. In the bathroom, soap and shampoo came in small sachets and not in bottles as is normal in 3-star hotels in Italy. I had to open 5 sachets of soap plus 5 of shampoo for each shower. RIDICULOUS. Breakfast was reasonable but well below the average for 3-star hotels around here. Finally, the slippers, which in any self-respecting hotel or B&B in Italy are offered as a courtesy, were charged 5 euros. A hotel which claims to be 4-star when it should have a maximum of 2.5.
