Where to stay in Lecce

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tiziano. The breakfast was delicious, and the hot chocolate was amazing better than in many other hotels I’ve stayed at. My room was spacious and cleaned every day, which made my stay even more comfortable. Overall, I’m really satisfied and would gladly return!

This hotel is nice, but out dated. The staff is very friendly and most of the speaks English fairly well. The room was nice, and beds were comfortable. The lifts were old and half of the were out of service. Location wise it's a 15 minutes walk to the old town center.

Overdue maintenance. Air conditioning is out of order, unpleasant atmosphere, staff is good. Everything is hanging loose, window handle, bathroom shower hanging hook. Furthermore, a lot of noise due to the building's extraction. My room 160 was right next to it. Because of this I slept very badly. Not recommended.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lecce, and I went in with pretty high expectations since it’s a 4 star hotel. The hotel meets Hilton standards; both rooms were very clean and spacious. The rooftop pool is large and offers a beautiful view over the rooftops of Lecce, all the way to the sea. Very clean and nice staff. Be aware that they charge you for cleaning your room. Typically cleaning and providing fresh towels is not an extra charge. Also the bottles of water they leave in the room are extra charge as well if you use them - even though bottled water it is the only drinking water available in Italy. Hotel was great otherwise!

The ambiance was okay, but the service was terrible. At breakfast, they asked everyone around them what kind of coffee they wanted, but skipped over me, a Chinese guest. When I asked for my room number, their attitude was extremely arrogant. If your hotel doesn't welcome Chinese guests, please don't list it on a Chinese platform. I do not recommend this to any Chinese citizens.

A group of bicyclists stayed in 2023. What a lovely experience. Clean, modern, within walking distance of Lecce. Dinner was exceptional. What was the key to this stay was the staff. We stayed at this hotel early Sept 2025, for 4 nights. Overall the stay was FINE but I personally don't think we would book again. PROS: The hotel is very modern and flashy. The place is very good in general, but the rooms look like they came out of the Future, another interesting fact the staff are very quick and efficient, plus the rooms have their own WiFi router!

Good sized rooms, good shower, very clean and quiet overnight and plenty of parking. Easy to get to by car. Decent breakfast too. A 15 minute walk from the edge of the old town, so in low season a bit of a walk to dinner.

Central and luxurious In a historic building in the very heart of town center . Rooms are huge, service is amazing. Everything is almost perfect , but for 5starsL I must say: breakfast needs to be improved (quality is excellent , but lacks of choices ) and in a suite coffee station should be mandatory… there was not even a boiler :-(

A comfortable modern hotel with good sized rooms and spacious public areas around reception, about 10 minutes walk from the old town of Lecce (and also from the station). Small restaurants neaby are genuinely local and worth trying. Only small grumbles were meagre in-room amenities (eg glass and china are much nicer to drink from than plastic and carboard) and too few savoury options at breakfast

The location is perfect to explore Lecce. The historical city can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes. The hotel was what I expected. We where the second family to occupying this room and there where many things missing (sofa or chairs, tissue paper, mirror, etc). The owner was very good and tried her best to help. The cleaning person did not was the cups and/ or change the towels one day.

Hotel is very close to train station. Very convenient for hopping on a train to get to hotel and to next destination. No convenience store in close proximity and hence difficult to buy tooth paste and tooth brush that hotel doesn't provide. Only one kebab shop is in close proximity to the hotel and if you do not like kebab you have to walk quite a distance for food.

As soon as the window was closed, the room smelled of decay, a rather unpleasant smell. The elevator was also very old, and it took several presses to get the elevator going while waiting in the lobby. However, it was very close to the station, and taxis were available right outside the hotel, so transportation was quite convenient.

A very nice masseria with an incredibly hospitable staff. They didn't know what good they could do for us. Nice pool area with good sunbeds. Clean and nice room with plenty of space. I recommend going to this place with the best atmosphere. The gym was not very god but ok for vaccation mode.

Although the structure was about an 18 minute walk to the centre of Historic Lecce, we chose this hotel for a one week stay because it was very historical and beautiful. The room was a good size with a skylight but was bright and airy. However there was some heavy rain and the ceiling leaked and there was water over the floor. On a beautiful square overlooking the baroque church of Santa Chiara, the hotel exudes old world charm. Our family room had a queen sized bed and a loft with a large bed for total privacy. A nice balcony was on the square/park.

Excellent location. Right in the center of the old town. The negatives are that it advertises a roof top jacuzzi and bar. There is no bar and you are not allowed use the Jacuzzi. It is only for show. It also says gym, hot tub and pool. You have to pay extra to use them. Other than that, an excellent hotel, decent enough breakfast, with lovely pleasant staff

As mentioned by others it’s very overrated by those from the west who don’t have taste. Impossible to park. Parking is a fable. “Breakfast” was a crumb and a tiny apology for coffee. Unsafe shared room entry with some dude trying our door. Poor maintenance and management left in untrained family hands. Complain and you will experience great hostility. Watch and see!

This B&B is in the most perfect location for visiting Lecce. About a 3 minute walk from the gates into the old town in a quiet side street. We had prebooked the parking in their underground garage. Sarah was absolutely charming and helpful and brought our breakfast to our room each morning. The rooms are very airy and clean and the shower super powerful.

I could have given it 4 stars but the fact that the room smelled so much of tobacco forced me to give it a lower rating. Beautiful property and warm welcome. We stayed there for 3 nights. We were given 6 vouchers redeemable for lunch available at a good pastry shop located 600m from the accommodation. Very far from city center, 2.1 km 30 minutes just in one direction. Also, no cups (you get paper ones and only 1per day), mugs, spoons or anything,very unequipped.

We found ourselves very well, room equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator and wi fi, located in an area not far from the center from which you can quickly reach the various seaside resorts. Kind and helpful owners.

We left a bag in the taxi on the trip from the hotel to the railway station & the receptionist was extremely helpful & sorted it out.

Fredericka was so very cheerful & extremely helpful. She gets 6 stars for herself!! The room was very clean and the location is fantastic. You can walk out of the back door into the old city. The room was small & a very compact bathroom but the bed was firm & very comfortable, as were the pillows. The Breakfast had excellent choices & was made to order.

The hotel has a back door leading to the old town, which is very convenient. The breakfast was excellent; it was à la carte but of very high quality, with freshly squeezed orange juice and authentic coffee. The room did not have a kettle, coffee bags, or tea bags.

Everything was perfect: the friendly staff, the beautiful setting I love, its location… I'll be back after my round-the-world trip.
