This is a mid-priced hotel near Otranto’s waterfront. Our sea view room looked over the waterfront restaurants between the hotel and the sea. Across the Strait of Otranto from our balcony we could see the mountains of Albania. Otranto is Italy’s most easterly point of land. Overnight parking cost us an extra five euros in a parking lot, five minutes walk up a quiet lane. (There is very limited street parking in this busy waterfront area of town). While we have nothing but good things to say about this hotel, it’s not luxury. But it’s a great location, the breakfasts were excellent and the room was remodeled and clean. A good average seaside hotel located very near restaurants and the Historic Otranto city center.

Our stay at Hotel Miramare was absolutely wonderful! The hotel combines classic Italian charm with modern comfort — everything was spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of character. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed.
The location couldn’t be better — right by the sea, with stunning views and easy access to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh options to start the day right.

Our experience at Hotel Miramare was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The service was warm, professional, and truly reflected the Italian hospitality you hope for when traveling.
The location is unbeatable — right by the sea, with breathtaking views and easy access to shops, cafés, and local attractions. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying breakfast overlooking the water was simply unforgettable.
Our room was spotless, bright, and very comfortable, with a lovely balcony and thoughtful details that made the stay even more special. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with fresh pastries, fruit, and great coffee.

We were not happy with the room. We received a handicap room and there was no chair at all in the room to sit in. We tried to upgrade, but the hotel was full. In all fairness, we were offered a different room for the next day, but it did not seem worth the trouble.
In addition, the maids broke the shower on the first day where they cleaned. A maintenance man came to fix it, but said it was not fixable without a part. So we had a part of the shower missing!
The room was sterile, and uncomfortable, but we were too lazy to move! Sandra at the front desk offered another room in fairness. We were unhappy with the booking because we booked a double room, but we did not request a handicap room!

This hotel is located right by a beach club and walking distance from a public beach. It was a perfect location to enjoy Otranto’s beautiful beach. The hotel was walking distance to the Okd Town and plenty of restaurants. I highly recommend staying here.

I would like to have given this hotel 5 stars but there a few fairly significant issues. The hotel itself was pleasant, for it's price range, the staff was kind and helpful, and the location was decent for the price, however, the room I received was not only small, but buried in the building with only a single, tiny window about 5' overhead which I don't think was even a window but a small glass block aperture. The feeling was of being in a basement and rather claustrophobic. The room did not look like the photo of the room I chose when I booked it. In my opinion this is a room that should not be offered to guests at all. The room was clean, but I did have a visitor in the shape of a very large cockroach in my room which did not enhance the experience in a positive way.

Hotel Miramare is probably in the best possible location in Otranto. Right on the sea face boulevard, a very short walk into the old town. Many lovely restaurants and cafes all around, and along the waterfront area. And specially not to miss a delightful gelato and a dessert at Martinucci Pastecheria, right below the Hotel. The hotel is old but decently maintained. Rooms look recently renovated and spotlessly clean. We had a room with a balcony facing the sea which was really fantastic. Housekeeping service is provided daily. Good & ample breakfast was available on both mornings. The staff was caring and attentive. The hotel has an arrangement with a parking lot about 100 metres from the hotel, where we parked at a rate of 6 Euros/day which was very reasonable.

Enjoyed our time and lunch here! The view is very nice over the beach and the sea. The food was good, the staff was friendly and quick. A bit touristic but the location is very good.
