Last June, 2024, I was able to enjoy a few days at the Hotel Degli Haethy. I felt at home, or even better!
The hotel is very nice,quiet,and very clean, but the best thing it offers is the staff. I am dissabled and the elevator was very useful for me.They have been extremely friendly, efficient, and have resolved multiple queries with success and good will. The room where I stayed is very nice, spacious, with a balcony, and all the amenities, including a state-of-the-art shower with various water jets.There is a convenient supermarket just a few blocks away, the beach is one hundred meter away.
I don't know when I will return to southern Italy, but then, I will definitely go to Otranto and stay at this hotel.

The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful, but the same cannot be said for the management.

We booked the beach at a higher price than booking directly with the beach resort.
The hotel, which had a written quote guaranteeing us a certain type of service, had some management and communication difficulties with the resort, refusing to guarantee us an umbrella.
When we raised the issue with the manager, he suggested we go to a public beach or reorganize accommodations at a more distant beach resort, at our own expense, without apologizing or considering any refund options.
When we emailed us regarding this matter, neither the manager nor the owner deigned to respond or offer a refund.

Since I deal with customers year-round, I didn't want to work even on vacation. This hotel is definitely to be avoided if you want to relax or create fond memories of Otranto.

A hotel that respects the standards of cleanliness and a 5-star hotel, but the highlight is the service of the staff both in the dining room and at the reception. Kind, patient, helpful and very polite. I advise

Nothing works. The air conditioning is managed by the reception, every time you have to change the temperature you have to call, I did it 2 times but the thermostat in the room always marks 26 °. The shower is claustrophobic, the stop where to insert the shower telephone is broken, which was promptly reported to the reception. I am told that they would report to whoever is responsible, but after 4 days no one did anything. I had to buy shampoo and body wash because the hotel doesn't supply them. I needed to take notes and thank goodness I always have pen and notes with me because there is nothing in the room. The mini bar leaks copiously and access to the garage is uncomfortable and adventurous. To top it off, the swimming pool is lined with 3 meter walls, it is impossible to enjoy a breath of air and you have to go to the reception if you want something to drink, more uncomfortable than that you die. The only good thing is the courtesy of the staff, a little bit to boast of 4 stars.
