Hotel Plaza in Salerno

We had a last minute change of plans and ended up needing a hotel in Salerno for a night. Found this hotel online for great price, room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfy and had a larger shower than most hotels we've had so far in Italy! Literally right across from train station yet we didn't hear a single train, rooms are nice and quiet. Also very close to ferry terminal, shopping, restaurants. And front desk staff were so nice and helpful.

The location was perfect. I could reach any touristic attractions quickly and hardly used any taxi services. The area is full of restaurants, small cafes. The hotel is close to the sea and the ferries' terminal.

The hotel exceeded expectations and was very convenient. It is visible right after exiting the train station, about 100 meters away. It is located at the starting point of the pedestrian street and is the best-looking building within sight. The room is quite spacious for 3 people and 3 large suitcases can be fully opened. There are many places to eat around and there is also a snack bar run by Chinese people next to it, where you can eat fried noodles and fried rice. The pier is also very close, but this pier only goes to Positano and Amalfi. To go to Capri, you have to go to another large pier about 2 kilometers away. We walked briskly along the coast for more than 20 minutes. Be sure to leave enough time. There are only 2 boats a day in the peak season, and there will be no boats if you miss them.

The room makes efficient use of space, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of options. The location is extremely convenient, right across from the train station and also very close to the ferry port.

Perfect hotel. Clean, simple and local to all transportation but still quiet enough to sleep well. The staff was extremely accommodating and kind!

A highly recommended hotel, the room is of a good size, and there is a balcony. You can see the beautiful scenery when you open the window. It can be said that this is the most cost-effective hotel I booked this time in Italy! It is a three-minute walk to the station and a five-minute walk to the beach.

Hotel location is very good. Close to train station. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Self service laundrette wad nearby so getting your clothes washed and dried is not difficult. Shower area has no wall mounted soap dish or rack so we have to put our soap on the shower area floor and bathing become not so enjoyable. We tried to use bath towel more than once but that becomes difficult as there is no towel tail for hanging the used towel. The hook on a location a bit far from the shower area was not good for hanging towel as the towel drops easily after it was hung
