We stayed at Novotel Parma and overall had a very good experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was rich and delicious.
We arrived late in the evening and I was truly impressed by the receptionist, Alexia. She was extremely kind, helpful, and friendly — a perfect welcome after a long trip.
However, the male receptionist on the morning shift the next day was quite the opposite. During check-out, he didn’t even bother to ask if everything was okay, which left a disappointing final impression.
Despite this, the hotel itself was very good, and I would stay again.

Small rooms, poor service. We visited Parma in a rather hot weekend of October and the *executive" room we booked - that could barely accommodated a couple with a small child - was so hot that we couldn't sleep in it. When we dared to request the air conditioning to be turned on, the reception refused, claiming it was "illegal" and that we should just open the windows.
For 190€ per person, I expected at the very least a basic level of professionalism—not the kind of penny-pinching tricks people pull at home to save on their electricity bill. This is supposed to be hospitality, not a lesson on how to suffer in silence to cut costs.

The hotel is centrally located, just a five-minute walk from Parma’s main railway station. The check-in process was swift, and the reception staff were especially friendly. The hotel room is excellent and comfortable in every aspect. Both the room and the bathroom are air-conditioned—essential for Parma’s hot weather. The bathroom is pristine, and the shower is modern and easy to operate. The hotel did not cut corners on providing towels. The overall hotel environment felt safe and welcoming. The lobby area is pleasant, but a downside is that a staff member isn't always available to serve drinks. The breakfast is top-notch, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. The food at the restaurant was of high quality and represented good value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly. I used the hotel’s gym with its state-of-the-art equipment. I would stay at the hotel again. PO

Great location, only a short walk to and from the old town centre, and right next to the Parma Centrale. Parking available, and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only slight downside was that the AC wasn’t working properly, but the staff ensured that we were well taken care of.

The hotel is located in a quiet and very welcoming area, with a staff that is always available and ready to meet every need. Although the pool was small, it was highly appreciated. During our stay, the children were given a passport which they had a great time with, and to be honest, I also had fun thanks to the activities offered! We did have a small issue with the sofa not being set up, but I want to give a special thank you to Rua at the reception, who took care of preparing it for us, even though it was quite late. I highly recommend this hotel due to its location, services, and especially the availability of the staff.

My husband, 6 year old son and I stayed here for 3 days in July 2025. The staff were welcoming and friendly.
My son enjoyed having their «Novotel passport» where you get a sticker when you accomplish a task …check-in, good night’s sleep, super breakfast, photo with the bear in the lobby, games, and check-out. At check-out, he got a little stuff teddy bear. This made his stay exciting. Also, we used the swimming pool a couple of times. It is small but it was enough. We didn’t have any problem finding a sunbed. You need to pay €2 per towel if you don’t have your own towel.
Parking was €18 per day…expensive but convenient. The parking attendant was friendly and informative.

Stayed 1N and experienced bed bugs. Both my daughter and I suffered bites all over. Photo below shows only part of it. Caught the bug and handed it over to hotel front desk, first thing they say is can't be from them, I must have brought it in from outside. My son didn't get it because he was sleeping on another bed.
They did offer breakfast as apology but more importantly, improve on your cleanliness.

In general the hotel is good enough for a short stay. The room is clean and staffs are nice. Breakfast is not too many options. Walking distance to the city center and close to the train station.
