Villa Madrina Lovely and Dynamic Hotel in Garda

Great location, Lovely Atmosphere, lovely meals, friendly staff, will definitely return

We have just left after a five night stay at this charming traditional hotel. Everywhere was immaculately clean and the gardens are beautifully maintained as well. The staff were welcoming and friendly, especially the restaurant and bar team who couldn’t do enough for us. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and a cake was left for us in our room. Breakfast service was good with plenty of choice, and our two evening meals were delightful. The dining room is quite bright for evening service; perhaps a better ambience can be created for when it’s too cool to have the doors open. Bar area is small but the hotel was quiet when we stayed so not a problem. We’d have welcomed some more comfortable seating options inside on the ground floor. Our room was spotless and well equipped with a fabulous lake view. It’s about a five minute walk to the lake where there’s a great variety of good shops and cafe restaurants. We had an exceptional stay at Hotel Villa Madrina during October 2025. Location of property was ideal with just a short 5min* walk to the Promenade. The grounds and pool area were very picturesque, very quiet and all pool furniture clean and well maintained. We booked a ground level garden room which provided us with a lovely terrace area that looked onto the garden and around 20 metres from the pool area. Robes, flip-flops and additional towels for the pool area were all provided as standard. The room was very clean and all furniture and facilities in very good condition. We both especially found the bed comfortable (additional pillows were standard) and slept very well throughout our stay. The welcome and communication from staff was always polite, respectful and cheerful. Hotel was exceptionally clean, and well maintained with many facilities including spa, well stocked bar, free bikes to hire and parking for those arriving by vehicle. We only used the Hotel restaurant for breakfast (wanting to sample other local restaurants for lunch and dinner), there was a very good selection of cold, cooked breakfast including meats, cereals, pastries, fruit etc and again the staff at breakfast were attentive and polite. It is refreshing to find properties like these and Villa Madrina is a real credit to it's owners and staff. I would definitely stay at this Hotel again and would recommend to friends & family.

The hotel is is beautiful surroundings, and has a view out over Lake Garda. The ground floor rooms have their own individual terraces, and there is a terrace outside the dining room. The hotel cat makes its rounds morning and evening, and appreciates scratches behind the ears. The staff are helpful and I was happy with my room. The bathroom had a whirlpool bath, but the hotel has advised me the rooms are to be enlarged, and this will be replaced with a walk-in shower. It is not far to walk into town, or to the bus station. I would return.

We had a fabulous stay here, it’s a beautiful hotel, well maintained with great attentive staff. Excellent food and drink. Pool and outside areas are stunning and also well maintained. Location is perfect for access ti the ferry and town, just a 5 minute walk. We would definitely go back and have already recommended.

Lovely hotel, great location, a couple of minutes walk away from the lake and away from the main road through Garda. Staff always helpful. Room excellent with view towards the lake. Breakfast was very good, hot and cold options. Pool area always beds available, spa area looked lovely but didn’t use it. Only one issue was €100 for late checkout, but didn’t really need it! Would recommend this hotel.

We are at Lake Garda now. It is a bit remote from the train station at Peschiera del Garda, but worth getting here if you need a few relaxing days. Villa Madrina is like a resort , a short walk into the village which is an authentic Roman Village in the lake, and absolutely wonderful.

All rooms have a lake view, either from a balcony or terrace. The rooms were very comfortable , peaceful and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was extensive and good quality.
The swimming pool was "refreshingly" cool and the surrounding gardens well maintained and great for relaxation.

Great Hotel in a convenient location
Enjoyed our stay here. Initial problem with suite - very dated bathroom but quickly moved us to another room with a walk in shower once I expressed my disappointment. Very clean, bright room with fantastic view. Comprehensive breakfast with plenty of choice. Great staff, friendly, helpful and cheerful. Five minute walk to lake and the numerous bars &restaurants.

Such a sweet stay! With a position on the hillside just above Garda, it’s perfect to enjoy the lake without being in the middle of town. Very kind staff, great food, peaceful pool and large rooms perfect for a good night’s rest. Well done!
