This is an elegant older property. Overall it was nice stay and the folks there were very friendly and tried to be helpful. It's a bit outside of town but not too far. The parking was to be 15 Euros per day however I was charged $48 for two days for some reason. The television went out after a power blip around 8 PM on the second evening and never came back on. Nice hotel for an overnight stop. Located behind a beautiful park, great to visit during the day, especially with kids who can run around while you enjoy a glass of wine at the local park bar. Staff was good. The room was very dusty especially in the closet and the hairdryer. The shelves inside the mirrored closet were dusty. The hairdryer filter was filled with dust that it wasn’t working until I removed the buildup from the filter then the hairdryer was working afterwards.

The rooms were nice but the bathroom needs updating. The air conditioning worked well but the bathroom could have been cleaner as there were some areas that clearly had mold in the shower. Not the best experience. Breakfast could be better. The rooms are big, but many number of flies and mosquitoes in the area made it hard to sleep. There was also a lot of noise from the nearby highway.

I had a junior suite that was quite underwhelming. Only two windows were roof windows and was pretty dark. Room was overheated for sleep (24 degrees) but could not change anything on temperarture. Also nothing changed after I told reception. Hotel itself is a lovely palace, breakfast was okay but also not outstanding.

It would be nice to have some kind of sign with the name and directions to the hotel, so it's visible from the road. Forlanini is a great deal for a quick stop in Parma. staff are friendly. Premises is mostly clean. There is plenty of additional parking space behind the hotel (enter via gas station side). The only disappointment was with the drainage issue at the shower. It led to a mini flood due to problems there and water flood out after shower.
