Commodore in Riccione

I had a very satisfying stay at Hotel Commodoro. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the hotel’s beachfront location is perfect. I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast, and the free bicycles and beach tower were great perks. The lobby is also very welcoming. Highly recommended!

Restuarant restaurant restaurant!!! The food was amazing. Breakfast: amazing. Lunch: amazing. Dinner: amazing.
They use high quality ingredients full of flavour and the kitchen staff are awesome. A lot of variety as well with different cousins.
The restaurant staff were superb; very friendly and attentive. All were great but in particular Stefano (the maître) and Asia.

Also, I think this is the only hotel in the area that has a resturant on the upper floors. It elevates the experience even further.

The beach is just in front of the hotel and no complaints there. Forgot the towels one windy day and they folded them up neatly inside the umbrella. Lots of free activities, even though we didn't really do any. They also have hot tubs for a fee (I believe 6 euro for 20 or 40 mins).

Great place for kids with a kids room and food available 24/7 (you have to prepare it yourself, which I prefer vice stale sandwiches) This included soups, pasta, cheese, and I think ragu`. Came in very handy with our toddler.

We got one of the rooms on the top floor with the hot tub and steam room:
- The room and bathroom were absolutely fine. Plenty of storage space for your stuff but not your luggage. It wasn't a problem as we tuck our empty bags behind the door and didn't interfere. I am sure the staff would have stored it somewhere if we asked.

- The housekeeping staff were very friendly and attentive; working around our schedule.

- The room is very kid/toddler friendly. The terrace has a high wall + railing that doesn't really bother you as an adult (maybe a little bit if you are a bit short in the hot tub, you won't be able to see the sea. We didn't have this problem) but it was very safe for our toddler to stretch his legs in the fresh air.

- Steam room worked perfectly. It got up to temp/humidity quickly.

- The hot tub worked well although you could see it has been mistreated by previous guests (smh). It could do with a more comprehensive manual as we had to report a fault with some jets and it eventually transpired to be a configuration issue. Staff were very quick to respond and get it sorted.

The only con in the whole experience:
- The air conditioner. It's far too weak on the top floor (which gets bombarded with heat from the sun all day) to cool the room below a specific temperature during the day.
The staff were very helpful and let us keep it on full power all day. This helped a lot, and my wife and son were mostly OK after this, but for me; after coming back from a walk in the heat, I would start sweating as there was no breeze and it was still warm-ish. It's a good temperature if you are sitting still and your body has cooled down, but you don't get that instant cool when you walk into an air conditioned place on a hot summer day.

At night, the air con was perfectly fine. We had to set it to our preferred temp in auto, else it would get too cold.

All-in-all, this was a 5 star experience in a 3 star hotel. I am definitely coming back.

Had a fantastic vacation here, beautiful location located right on the beach with everything you would want within walking distance or a short cab ride. Clubs, fine dining, shopping, it's all here in little Miami.

Elshan was one of the best bartenders I have ever had the pleasure to be served by. Drinks were always prompt with a wonderful attention to detail and customer service. Reception was wonderful as well, specifically Annalisa!

The hotel is in a great location, right in front of the beach promenade, just a few steps from the beach. Breakfast and buffet dinner were excellent. Nearby on Via Dante there are lots of good restaurants and shops.

Very nice location, cleaned and cozy. Single rooms not so spacious, yet everything is in good condition. The sea is just across the road in front of the hotel. (not the best sea in Italy though).
