Hotel Nascente in Riccione

I stayed from December 31 to January 2, and unfortunately, it wasn't pleasant at all.
As soon as we entered the room (there were two of us), we immediately noticed a very strong and unpleasant odor. The heating wasn't even on, and the bathroom window was completely open, making the room freezing. The heater never turned on.
The bed (especially the pillowcase) had stains that were definitely not ours. A spiderweb/heap of dust was hanging from the ceiling (see photo).
We found a clump of hair stuck to the towel provided for drying ourselves; luckily we had at least one bathrobe.

I immediately reported the above-mentioned issues to the owner, and he attempted to "solve" the problem by performing a treatment (he claimed) that was being performed during the Covid period. Needless to say, absolutely nothing changed.

I understand it's a 2-star hotel, and so far so good, as I've never expected luxury. However, I feel it's necessary to ensure a certain standard of cleanliness and, given the winter season, at least have the heating turned on.

The only positive thing was the late checkout at 4:00 PM.

I can't comment on the services offered, as I didn't choose meals included in my stay.

A negative experience, to say the least. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
In fact, I'd rather advise the owners to increase the room rates, but at least ensure guests have a pleasant stay and a room they can feel comfortable in.

Great location, the rooms are very small but clean. The bathroom just sufficient. Economical but needs maintenance and some comfort starting with a working shower or a few more plugs
